"A-aha, I see.." she murmured. She'd never be able to remember all
that, and she didn't have anything to write the directions down.
Well, anyway she'd just roll with it. "Thanks." she commented
offhandedly as she searched her schedule for her next teacher. "We
didn't do very much this class, huh?" she hummed.
"That was on purpose. Its the first day." Zukun said, still trying
to shake of the vision. Mystic sighed, and noticed Malis whispering
something to Nova. Mystic shrugged thinking it was nothing.
"Doesn't leave a very great impression though, does it? Why not
make the first day magnificent and unforgettable?" Lilith asked,
genuinely confused. She had been mainly home-schooled previously,
so she had really expected more out of her first day at a 'real'
school. "Is there a reason?"
Lilith frowned, this just didn't sound right. "Then what is the
point of having this class at all? Ah, not to be disrespectful,
but, isn't it your duty as a teacher to challenge us as students?
The students who don't need this class shouldn't be in it then-"
She lectured, parroting the topic that her older brother always
used to rant about. He had been very frustrated with the education
system, himself, and it had rubbed off on her as well. "It is
awfully disappointing to come to a real school like this, if I
don't learn anything." She huffed, crossing her arms.
"Well, you'll learn something tomorrow, and why its important not
to snap at people with your powers, and why defending yourself is
worse than running away. Eventually I will teach you what to do
when someone snaps on you and you can't run. Although Ms. Ruby is
teaching you to how to strengthen yourself and be more productive
with your abilities, I will teach you what to do in basic
situations." Zukun stated in a cool voice. "But do not ask me those
questions. Do I look like the headmaster?". "Now, it is time to go,
so I suggest you move along to Ms. Ruby's class." Zukun said.
Mystic left, walking to Ms. Ruby's class, keeping quiet as usual.
Ruby smiled. "Ah yes, Jake. Sadly, it's about time that you would
go to second period, but since you just arrived, you can stay." she
said, then turned to the younger students. "Okay you guys, you
should head over to Mr. Zukun's class. He'll help you with power
outbursts you may have." she said, then then sat down. "The rest of
the kids should be here soon." she said. "Just take a seat."
Mysti was a little surprised this class was already over when she
hadn't gotten to do much, but she figured next time something would
come up. she followed the others who were moving on to the next
class.
Mystic arrived to Ms. Ruby's and talked to no one while Malis was
messing with his fire. Nova's mood was quickly soured when she
realized who's class she was now in.
Zukun walked back to his classroom and arrived before most students
did.
Malis looked up. "Well, thats one way to start a conversation."
Malis chuckled slightly. "But yes, anyone with eyes would be able
to tell I am a pyrokinetic."
"M-Me? I'm Mystic." Mystic said, slightly surprised someone wanted
to talk to her.
