The City of the Dead
Forum-Index → Roleplay → The City of the DeadIn reality he was searching to see if he still has his pocket knife in there or maybe sale knew salt doesn't work on real monsters, except maybe demons but he still wanted to have it so he could use it as a distraction or throw it at their eyes so he could get more time to run if anything went bad

"Oh, great. You're home. Well, I guess it's time for bed-"
"Haha, very funny, you know you love me. We have guests." Hiraeth replied, not fazed in the slightest by Ten's withering glare or harsh comment.
"And I care... why?" Ten answered, trying to take his device back. Hiraeth nimbly avoid him, finally turning to the humans.
"They're Ten and Lee. My friends. Don't worry, they won't hurt you."
He listened to the short conversation between Hiraeth and Ten.
Are you sure about that?, he thought to himself, but didn't dare to speak it out loud. Instead, he nodded to Lee and Ten as a greeting.

"But these humans are special. They're more monster hunters! They might be able to help! Right, guys?" He glanced at them, practically bouncing on his heels.
"We each have our reasons for... disliking monsters. Truth is, we hunt them too. But most human hunters decide we're lying or too much trouble and try to kill us off. But you all trusted Hiraeth, to some degree. Fascinating." He said simply, looking directly at the assembled people for the first time. He didn't appear very fascinated, but there was the tiniest bit of curiosity in his cold eyes.

"There are many ways to kill them, disarming them is a bit more difficult. But we really shouldn't worry about it right now. You all were just reborn, you must be tired."
"Or don't, I'd prefer it that way." Ten muttered to himself, fiddling with a tiny gear in a distracted way. He acted a little like his mind was far away, doing multiple things at once. Which wasn't too far off the mark.
When he saw Greg walking upstairs, he quickly followed him. He hesitantly tried to grab his arm, but ended up poking him instead. "Greg?", he started and was waiting for a response.
Maybe he is just generally trusting a person and he was just in denial the whole time? Afterall, Being Trusting doesn't fit his aesthetic. But then again, He has lilac hair and wears pastel clothes. He will have to solve this with his brain later. He looked at the direction that Greg and Felix went but he didn't follow- Hesitant. He just kinda stood there, looking after them. He tilted his head slightly to the left, a motion that could be easily missed.
He took a deep breath and bit his lip for a moment, then he looked to the side. "Can I sleep next to you?", he asked, and the sudden fear that the question might be really weird made him feel his face heat up. He hoped he wasn't blushing, but he didn't know for sure.
"It was trash anyway. I need to rebuild the whole thing. Start over. I hate starting over. I hate this." Ten threw up his hands in a frustrated way and stomped off towards the living room. The whole area seemed slightly lighter with him gone, as if he'd taken along his own personal storm cloud. Hiraeth smiled apologetically at Matthew.
"Sorry about that. He gets into moods. He just needs some time away from his projects, that's all."
