Tiger sighed and nodded in response to Mira before replying to Mel "this ribbon marks a guardian for a region. A guardian's job is to protect and defend the legends of their region. I'm Johto's guardian. I've been Johto's guardian since I was thirteen" he admitted with a sigh. "I got it after Ho-Oh was freed."

Z knocked on Tigers door “geez they’re as crazy as ever.” She mumbled as she waited for someone to answer. The Glaceon That was on her shoulder now across Z’s shoulders asleep.

"It's been interesting." Glaceon replied. "Trying to keep these three from getting themselves killed is an everyday job it seems."

"It's not that bad Glaceon. All three trainers have a mate as well as you plus we have a new friend like Mira has." Rose replied sweetly.


"What's exactly is a guardian though?" Ro asked curiously. "Do the legends of that area choose you or does the elite four?"

Riu jabbed Mel with his elbow, a bit violently. "That's your only answer?"

"Sorry, right. Why in the name of Arceus's wooly socks did you not tell us about this." Mel ground out, glaring at the ribbon. She turned to face Riu. "Better?"

"Much." The Lucario wheezed.

Tiger jumped in shock and looked guilty. "I couldn't tell anyone. I-I was told to not say while Raikou was missing." He said quickly and looked at the ground. He placed his hand on his forehead and groaned. "I wasn't allowed to say anything while Raikou was missing, and the original Raikou is dead." He whispered hollowly. What kind of guardian am I?

"That sounds about right. Mira's been pretty good about staying alive, but she has her moments," Toka shrugged.

Z opened the door “sup.” She said fixing her hair which had fallen over a small bit to the right where it was clipped very close to her scalp. “Long time no see, what I miss?”

The Glaceon on her shoulder looked up and tilted her head to the side

(Btw her hair is like that edgy hair style but not very long on the one side so it only goes down to her chin)

Rose chuckled at that while Glaceon snorted. "I think every trainer in this room has a death wish of some sort." Glaceon mused.

"Z, your hair. It's a mess. No offense." Mel called over. She grimaced. "Yeah, sorry about that by the way. I didn't see the flamethrower until after my hair was on fire."

Riu yawned. "I don't think it's a big deal. We've all met legendaries before. Some more than others, clearly. I thought the ribbon was just supposed to make you look cool or something." He shrugged.

Tiger looked up and noticed Z and Mel's hair, but decided against saying anything. He got up and went to the kitchen with the Raikou following him quickly. "Tiger wasn't trying to be secretive." Cyndaquil squeaked in response to Mira, "Ho-Oh threatened him by saying 'if you say anything about this ribbon, or being Johto's guardian while Raikou is missing. Then the scar on your arm wont be the only sacred fire scar you have' before flying away. He wanted to say something about it to you guys, but he couldn't. He was too afraid" he explained quietly and glanced at Akio, who was standing by the archway that lead to the stairs. The Lucario nodded and translated what Cyndaquil said to everyone.

Mira nodded and glanced at Tiger. "...He's been doing well. Nothing has happened to the legendaries. Zapdos, on the other hand..."

She trailed off and followed him into the kitchen. "Articuno mentioned something about the Johto Guardian being my age," She said gently, and smiled.

Tiger was putting some food into a bowl for Raikou when he heard Mira. He sighed "Lugia, and Ho-Oh never mentioned who the other guardians were. I really should have said something sooner" he mumbled quietly and pet Raikou while the legend ate. "Though something did happen to the legendaries here. The original Raikou died... this little one is his replacement and I've got to raise him" he sighed quietly and went back to the fridge where he put the leftovers food for Raikou away.
