"Well, in better shape than you were before. And to answer your
question, we're in a bunker, like, a universal hero base of some
sort, they got you patched up and the rest of us could sleep a
little easier."
"A good majority of those who lived the attack, like me, the knight
guy there, you, Tiger, Holly. Serena and her crew. Those are the
ones I know of. I just uh, got back from a scavenging trip. I
picked up a whole bunch of minerals and whatnot, maybe I can forge
something to help you and the others along." He laughed, "And maybe
a stronger sword for me." He groaned, putting his hand on his left
shoulder, "Doc clipped me, but at least we're not dead, right?" His
nerves tingled, "Whoever's outside, come on in. I can't have the
back of my neck tingling like that I'll distract myself."
"Ah, I'll be alright, nothing a little salted lycan meat won't
fix." He sighed, "I'm sorry I let them get away though, if it
wasn't for my recklessness, then my sword would have lasted a bit
longer."
"It's fine. If I hadn't screwed up that jump, Wily would've gone
down, and we would have had one less villain to deal with," Mira
pointed out flatly, shaking her head. "Besides, you wouldn't have
had to worry about me."
Holly smiles. "Glad you're okay, Mira. And you did fine. You're
still alive." She says. She didn't have too much trouble getting
out. And didn't run into any villains. Just henchmen.
"There was one other, a freaky looking thing she was, her eyes were
on you, I couldn't fight her, she was too demonic. I could feel it.
Once my sword shattered, I had to retreat..." He hung his head low,
"We got lucky. That's all."
"We're all still alive. A miracle that we are; but we need
more training if we want to fight them without getting out lucky to
be alive," She sighed. "But... We'll get there."
"Exactly, my uncle, he's had his fair share of near-death
experiences. Others sacrificed their lives to save him. He
sacrificed his life to save Chael, and I risked my life to save you
guys. I don't regret that either. It's a family thing I guess.
Saving others, put yourself last." He sighed, "That photo, my
father's face is scorched out, he died a week after it was taken. A
year after that I went to Uncle Regret to have him train me.."
