Nat leaned against the kitchen counter and nodded, her laughter passed. "I like that idea." She smiled and took a deep breath. "Since Danny had told me about his parents, I have done a little reading and learning about God and religion... From what I can tell, I believe that the way I'm feeling right now, is blessed. I mean, think about it... The chances that Roxy followed that one guy into the lab at that particular time, and saved me, and then meeting Angel, who then was taken and met and saved you, and the way you and I have gotten along... I mean, I don't know, but it seems almost like it was planned..." She shook her head and shrugged. "Even if it wasn't, I'm just glad it happened the way it did." She smiled up at him.

"I believe that is the right term. I don't really believe in much past nature. I believe in some fate but most of the gods my people have died down. I am glad it brought us together. Something did. I would be foolish to deny it," Sebastian shrugged, finding some rubber bands, he secured the plastic wrap over the mouths of the containers before handing her one. "Ready? I'll get your cocoa cooking after I finish mine."

"Okay," Nat smiled as she took the cup and set it on the kitchen counter, shifting into a gecko to get onto the counter, and then into a rattlesnake for the first dose of venom. Several more varieties of snakes followed. One pure black, another with bands of color, and even more with beautiful designs.
Her scales were dull, but the color was so vibrant that it showed through the dead layer. After almost an hour the small container was less than half full, but contained enough doses for more than one hundred men. She moved to the edge of the counter so she could shift back, but found that instead of shifting, she simply fell off due to the strain of delivering the venom and add onto that she needed to shed.

Sebastian, who had been watching her curiously, caught her before she could fall. "Hey, there. You okay? Maybe we should get you into bed, huh? Maybe a hearing pad and a blanket," Sebastian said, lifting her closer to make sure she was okay as he carried her to the couch.

Nat nodded slowly, barely able to keep her head up long enough to do so. She was very much like a limp noodle in his arms. The eight-foot-long Inland Taipan, that was Nat, was floppy, but the underlying muscle could still be felt. She felt completely safe being carried, and a heating pad and blanket sounded practically like heaven.

Sebastian chucked, carefully wrapping Nat around his arm so that he wouldn't accidently hurt her or heaven forbid she flop out if his hand. Snatching a heating pad with one arm, he plugged it in before laying it down on the couch. Uncoiling Nat from his arm, Sebastian gently coaxed her into a loose coil on the heating pad before covering all but her head under a blanket. He turned the heating pad on low, not wanting anything bad to happen. The blanket would trap the heat. "I've got you, Nat. Don't worry about shedding. I'll help clean up if you do shed some skin here. You are safe with family now. No one is going to mind. I am going to go put the venom someplace safe. I will be right back."

Nat moved easily and tilted her head enough to smile at him. She managed to lightly bump his hand with her head before he moved away just saying thank you since she couldn't talk in that shape. She only hoped that in time she could do something like this for him. Maybe he'd like a full body massage in the warm lake. Perhaps she could even get Angel to help her out.

After cleaning up, Sebastian returned to the living room, taking up one of the cushions for himself. He had stopped the cocoa, thinking poor Nat wouldn't make it more then a few sips. He could make her some when she was a bit more alert. "Mind if I watch tv? Will it be too loud?"

Nat shook her head as much as she could muster. She slowly worked to get her tail out of the blanket and gently coiled part of it around one of his fingers much like how she'd hold Danny's hand. She settled her head down, her nictitating eyelids blinking a couple times before closing as she fell asleep.

Sebastian smiled, giving her tail coiled onto his finger a light squeeze. "Sleep well," he whispered, turning down the volume and switching it to one of the channels he enjoyed.

Nat slept quite peacefully, and at some point during her nap, she receded into the blanket and unconsciously began rubbing over herself gently working her shed skin off into one long empty tube. However, this motion made the blanket move and would likely have been amusing.

Sebastian had had to cover his mouth with his hand, stiffling his laughter. She looked kind of like she was having a dance party and had forgotten to invite their family.

About an hour later the "dancing" stopped and Nat slowly poked her head out, something white in her mouth. She wiggled a little as she was excited to show him the complete, but empty, replica of her as an inland taipan. She still didn't have the energy to shift back, but what she was trying to express was simple enough.

Sebastian smiled, then held out his hand. "Is it okay if I hold it? You did great, by the way!" He was thrilled and very excited to check out the scale pattern. Checking her over with his gaze to make sure she was physically okay as well.

Nat nodded her head and put one end of it in his hand. She moved a little further out from the blanket so she could curl up on top of it. Other than being tired, her scales were all gleaming and shiny.

Sebastian studied the skin a moment before noting she had come out from under the blanket. "Not too hot, right? I can turn the pad down if you need."

Nat shook her head signifying that it wasn't too hot. She opened her tiny mouth wide in a yawn before she stretched and slowly began growing and changing until she was human, her legs laid out behind her on the couch, her upper body on the blanket spot. "Thank you Sebastian..." She just barely got the words out before her head hit the blanket and she passed out.

We're home, Angel softly knocked on the door and opened it with her key about an hour after Nat had fallen asleep. She spotted Sebastian and then Nat laying beside him, and it made her smile. He wasn't really a father figure to her, more of a big brother, and she loved it. She stepped in and to the side so Danny could come in.

Welcome home, beautiful angel! Nat was really tired after our work so I set her up in here. She also shed. So she is double exhausted and I am letting her get in as much sleep as she'd like, Sebastian explained, giving her a warm smile and mental hug. He didn't want to disturb Nat, after all. Danny spotted the shed skin and frowned a moment before he figured out what it was. Grinning, he pointed to the skin excitedly while standing still. 'So, so cool!' He mouthed, not wanting to wake his best friend. She looked so happy and peaceful.
