Aimee sighed, seeming to shake her little head. She contemplated turning human, but awkwardly just stayed a cat. She meowed, her little voice soft.

Frowning, Aprell attempted to set Aimee down so she could head back to her dorm. "Hate to cut the conversation short, but I'm about ready to drop," she said to Frank, and left.

She turned around as Jack spoke. "I honestly have... no idea. And, in all honesty, it doesn't work too well, as you've probably seen..." it flickered again, and at that moment, her glasses fell off, revealing completely yellow eyes with slitted pupils. "I can only hope that that doesn't happen in front of someone unaware of the... illusion, did you call it? ...Anyway, it's pretty broken, and I'm not sure how to fix it. I suppose I could ask another one of my kind... But that would be rude, since it's them who said 'aprell don't contact us after you've been sent' 'aprell no don't do that' 'aprell keep our secrets'... Ugh."

As Winter looked around she saw that Andrew was ok so she settled down by herself just trying to play I cool since she was by herself drink soda out of a cup and using her other hand to hold onto her necklace wishing she had someone to talk to but knowing she had to let drew make friends.



Drew saw frank talking to a girl he wasn't going to assume so he walked over to a different group of guys and started talking to them waiting but realized they were trying get him away most likely so he excused himself and went outside to somewhere quiet.

Jack nodded, sympathizing with Aprell. He too had been sent here for something, but it was a totally different reason. "Would you mind if I tried something?" He asked.

Jack took off his glove. "I'm cursed so badly that anything organic I touch will instantly age. But I can reverse that process by using my scythe." Jack indicated it behind his back. "I was wondering if I could see what would happen if I tried this on you, since you are... how can I say this... different."

Aimee padded after the two, sitting at Aprell's feet. She set her head agisnst her leg, purring. Her tail swayed softly.

When Jack didn't reply, Aprell glanced back down at Aimee. "Oh, you again," she said, smiling at what she thought just to be an animal compainion.

Jack laid his hand on Aprell's head, concentrating deeply. Aprell's illusion dissipated, and she started to grow shorter. Her horns grew larger and longer, while her pupils grew darker. Jack let go, then touched her head with his scythe. The process reversed, leaving Aprell with her illusion intact. Jack stepped away. "Thank you for the information." Jack looked at the cat. "I will see you soon enough, Aimee." Jack walked away, closing his dorm door after looking around twice.

Aprell blinked. The sudden aging seemed to have some sort of affect on her, strictly good or bad was hard to tell.

Aimee blinked, and glared at the boy. She hissed, and got closer to Aprell. How did she know who she was? She shivered, slightly scared. Why did he seem to hate her...?

She shuddered, seemingly coming out of a trance. "...Ugh..." She headed back to her dorm, and flopped down on her bed.


But at the same time, a certain dark-haired boy was invisible in the shadows just outside the room, half-asleep himself.

Aimee followed her, jumping onto her own bed. She sighed. She stared at Aprell, blinking slowly. She realized that she couldn't fall asleep until Aprell did and had to wake up before her. She couldn't have her know she was human.

Aimee smiled, becoming human. She sighed, slipping into the bathroom. She changed into a little black nightgown, sliding into bed. She clutched her stuffed animal, her little bell ringing. She yawned lightly, closing her eyes.

Jack looked through his thoughts. He couldn't think of anything that could have made these deep grooves in the floor. "Maybe it was the Krampus?" "No, it wasn't. Look at how many marks there are." "9. There are nine marks upon the floor." "What does that remind you of?" Jack answered. "The nine-tailed cat." "And who wields that fateful whip?" "Venx." Jack shuddered at that name. It held so much pain and loathing for Jack. It followed him everywhere.

Frank grinned, the party was falling to a halt. Yawning, he decided to fall asleep, as the day would come soon.

Aria walked to the dorm, where she, too, fell asleep.
