Firelight pauses before speaking up. "Well, each kit in the clan gets a name that fits them. If they come from outside the clan, they leave their old name behind and pick a new one. When I was born, I was named Firekit because of my flame colored pelt and orange eyes. I was named Firelight when I became a medicine cat, because of how I had come along. I saw the light of starclan that showed me how to properly help the clan when I was down, and since my mentor left before I was named, starclan guided and named me. Lets take Whiteleap for example. His name was chosen because he's good at jumping. When he was an apprentice, that cat could spring at a mouse from several feet away because of how he was built."

Mistkit looks at her mother who is currently sleeping, she steps out of the den, the light temporarily blinding her eyes, After her eyes adjusted to the light, she cautiously looks around, spotting a few other clanmates,

Treefall padded out of the warriors den and stretched. It was a slow day, whiteleap was relaxing underneath the hightree, and pretty much everyone was napping. He layed out in the sunlight to groom his fur, debating whether he should go out on a solo patrol to check the territory for any danger.

Fern was in a tree. Honestly, she had no particular reason to be in a tree, but she was anyways. She sighed, relaxing as she stretched out on the tree branch. She absentmindedly began to hum a nameless tune from her old clan, and her humming soon developed into a quiet singing.

She smiled into the sun as she sunk into her own little world of nostalgia and memories.
Kauri thought for a moment, absorbing Firelight's words. "Is i-it possible to have t-two names? I-I think I remember s-something about twolegs h-having more than one name. I-I guess, I dunno, I f-feel kind of attached t-to my name right n-now, even though I d-don't remember how I g-got it." She shrugged, looking down at her paws, a contemplative look on her face. "I-it's just kind of the only th-thing I remember actually p-pertaining to me, y-you know? I remember th-that I'm at least s-seven moons old, and th-that one song, but I d-don't remember much that is s-synonymous to me." Kauri shook her head, giving a slim smile to Firelight. "B-but I guess that m-might not make much s-sense, does it?"
(Kauri has them large words tho)

idk wolfpaw has to be something else because she wasnt interacting with the medicine cat at all//
Firelight pauses and nods. "You could have two names...in fact, Kauri is a kind of tree, right? It may be an unusual name for a clan cat, but we could make it work....Kauripaw. How does that sound? It would be your name until you got your medicine cat name, which would be Kauri, and then whatever I choose that would fit."
Treefall looks up, spotting Flintstar. He purrs softly as he looks over at her, but he felt it was rude to stare, so he lay his head down to make himself less noticable.

"T-that would be great!" Kauri chirped, grinning at Firelight. She yawned, her injuries mostly forgotten. "I think that I-I'm going t-to take a nap." She said, padding over to the spot she had woken up at earlier. She kneaded the ground and settled down, curling up in a cozy little ball and slipping off to sleep.

Firelight smiles. "Rest well Kauri, I'll speak to Flintstar about your apprenticeship." he says, and when she falls asleep, he does exactly that. he pads out of the den and heads over to flintstar, causing Treefall to look away as he didnt want to look like he was listening in if he got caught admiring Flintstar.
"Hey Flintstar, I need to discuss something with you." Firelight meowed, sitting next to her.
