Khomich said nothing and kept walking. "I wasn't nervous." She said
after a little while. "I'm just... Not used to being touched so
gently..." She spread her black wings and flew up into the night
sky. Her silhouette outlined against the full moon.
Khomich said nothing and dived back down to the path.
Ember looked out at the mouth of the cave. "I've heard no roars or
other sign of danger... Let's let them be for a while longer... If
it gets too much later we'll check on them..."
Ember looked over at Draco out of the corner of her eye and did it
again. The smoke wafts up and dissipates at the top of the
cave.
Once Khomich thought Void was gone she fell over. "Ow..." She
rubbed at the skin that was burned from the energy blast. "Why am I
so socially awkward?" She rolled onto her back and stared up at the
sky, her feet and wings splayed out.
Ember chuckled. "I was making you laugh." She smiled.
Khomich stared up at the glittering stars that shone like diamonds
against the black sky. I hope Void doesn't hate me now... I
just, don't know how to react to that sort of... Attention...
She sighed. "I might as well go find him and apologize for reacting
the way I did..." She said to herself as she got up slowly wincing
at the burns. She spread her wings and took off in the direction he
went. "Void!!" She called out before roaring in pain as several
arrows stabbed through her wings, causing her to plummet to the
ground.
Void saw Khomich and flew down and tried to catch her but he
missed. A large stone from a catapult slammed into Void's side and
he weakly crashed into the ground
Khomich roared as she was pinned down under a net, with her wings
sticking out the sides. There were several hunters around her
holding the net. While four walked up, and two of them each grabbed
one of her wings and the others got ready with swords. Khomich
screeched as they swung. And with a sickening thunk her wings fell
to the ground. The net caught on black fire and they all leapt back
as she stood up out of the pitiful burning rope net. Instead of
spraying acid, she spun and sent out black fire. Upon touching the
black fire, their flesh began to decay rapidly. Soon they were all
just skeletons crumbled at her feet. Khomich stood, staring at her
wings laying on the ground, she was covered in blood and black
flames.
Ember landed and stared at the death and the black fire still
slightly burning the bones of the hunters. "Oh my god... Draco, you
get Khomich, I'll get Void... Oh Gods he's dying..." She ran over
to him and shifted into her true form to carry him easier.
Khomich opened her eyes faintly. "V-Void..." She said very weakly.
