(Not sure; just...try your best!)

Mia gazed at the rapidly emptying halls as Felicity looked up at her.

'Are you all right?' Felicity asked.

Mia huffed slightly, blowing her auburn hair out of her face. 'Not really. All of these people I've met; Timmy, Amanda and Alyss..how in Merlin's name are they going to react when they know about my ability?'

'Well, if they are good friends, they will stick with you to the end, right?' Felicity answered optimistically.

'I suppose...do you want to explore the school?'

'Why not? I need to know all of the secrets Hogwarts holds,' Felicity replied as she gently bound off the bench and towards the entrance.

'Call me if you don't know the way to the common room, alright?'

'Will do.'

Amanda walked within the crowd and to the Hufflepuff common room. She had finally escaped her parent's path. Savage, if Mia is in Ravenclaw does that mean we'll never meet each other again? She turned to her mouse. You just wait. And stop looking to me for answers, Amanda. You don't want to be known as the girl who was mentored by a mouse, do you? He mouse's nose nudged her shoulder. Better than being an illegal animagus. Amanda replied shrilly, a slight tone of sarcasm in her thoughts.

(Bad at making up clever questions for the Ravenclaw common room. *steals one from the book*)

Emily hurried to the common room. "What came first, the Phoenix or the flame?"

She paused for a moment. "Neither, just like how a circle doesn't have a beginning or an end."

"Wisely put."

Albus, her barn owl that she named after her first ever chocolate frog card, cooed and followed Emily into the common room. She had been expecting to get Ravenclaw, her mother was in it after all.

Emily sat in the corner of the common room, nose in a book of Magical History, (Hogwarts finally updated their history book.) trying not to be noticed.

And to think I had one prepared...ah well, I'll use it next time.

Mia gracefully followed the rest of the housemates who were jostling in line impatiently. As they entered the common room, she felt something brush against her leg.

'Felicity! Had fun exploring the castle?'

'Yup, and I saw two other cats as well. One of them seems to love the other...but the other is somewhat oblivious..What about you?'

'Nothing much happened, well, except for maybe various people losing their appetite looking at Timmy eat.No offense meant, but I'm starting to think those Liquorice Wands weren't enough to fill his stomach.Wonder if he ate breakfast?'

'Well, it's late to think about it now.Besides, didn't you want to reread 1001 Magical Herbs and Fungi?'

Mia smiled. 'It was used to keep me from losing my appetite just now, so I'd rather stay here and take in the place where we'll be staying for the next few years.'

crystal looked around and was amazed about the gryffindor commen room.
sally leaped up and crystal caught her.
''that orange puffball didn't even notice i followed him... kind of funny really, if i were a snake he'd be in trouble'' sally purred in amusement.
crystal sighed.
''can you for once get along with tyson's cat...?'' she asked quietly.
''fluff no... that cat was annoying before you turned me into one.. now he's think's i'm a nice she-cat that could be his..... i will not, i repeat, i will not get along with that ignorant, stuck up, selfish tom-cat'' sally growled.

tyson scrunched up his nose when he entered the slytherin commen room, completely angry with the hat.
''why did it have to be slytherin..'' he grumbled.
blaze strode in and hopped up into a chair meowing.
''what blaze?'' he asked.
''how are you doing in the slytherin house so far, i know you don't like this house, but your stuck here...'' blaze muttered.
''doing just fine.....'' he grumbled.

Clarisse had just been slapped in the face by the Sorting Hat. In a way. She had walked down so into her thoughts, that the crowd was now so much ahead of her that she was glad to have her memory--that prefect had said the password this year was ''Skurge''. Clarisse was surprised that she had gotten into Slytherin, though. It's not like she wanted to flip a table over (like that other Slytherin boy that had been sorted; she knew she wouldn't like him. He was just so tempermental, and seemed disloyal to his house) because of her house sorting--it was the point that her personality didn't seem to fit very well in the house of the serpent.

Slytherin referred strongly to the element of water, which was probably her only relationship with it. Clarisse had heard rumors about their common room being underneath a lake, so you could fall asleep to the sounds of the water. She would enjoy that, if the rumors were true. But it was probably just that the hat thought she'd do best in Slytherin; there were many great wizards and witches that came out of their house. Merlin (true fact), Severus Snape (risked his life), and a few others. Although, their house ghost kind of scared her, counting he was: 1) Covered in blood and 2) Murdered the love of his life, Helena Ravenclaw. She would steer clear from the Bloody Baron.

Thomas scurried down the corridors, as fast as his could with this crowd of first-year Gryffindors, repeating a Christmas song in his head over and over for comfort--the moving pictures that held up on the walls scared him. Cosmic soared above his head, wings fluttering freely and hooting as loud as possible. Thomas tried desperately to ignore the staring faces, but it was no use. Jingle bells, jingle bells... His head rang as he hurried down the corridor. Hogwarts would take him a few months of getting used to, there as his pudgy owl was as happy as can be... Thomas glanced frantically around the halls. It was silly of him, to be scared. Dashing through the snow... His head sang again.

Mia closed her eyes as she felt Hogwarts' ambient magic wash over her. Welcome, young metamorphmagus, it seemed to say. Your journey here will be harsh, but fruitful in the end. Remain true to yourself, and open up to your friends.

Mia's eyes flew open as the strict looking Ravenclaw professor finished his speech. "..rule-breakers are also dealt upon severely in Hogwarts. That's all for tonight, to bed, all of you," he said, thankfully gazing in the other direction.

'Did you hear what he said, Felicity?' she asked.

'Yes, a welcome to Hogwarts and saying rule-breakers were not allowed. Rather simple, to be honest, but simpler might be better for the nervous ones.'

Mia heaved a silent sigh of relief. 'The same as I. Ready to go to bed, Felicity?'

'You bet, the train ride was tiring,' she answered, leaping into Mia's waiting arms.

(Figured we could move onto the first day of classes; there really isn't that much to do; choosing a bed and going to sleep is a bit..well, boring)

Mia walked down the hallway, following the Ravenclaw prefect as they took several twists and turns throughout the castle.

"Wow, isn't that amazing?" several people whispered.

Mia sighed internally. Felicity had snuck out in the middle of the night to explore the castle and gotten pranked by Peeves. She was now stuck in Mia's bed, forced to stay there for the rest of the day until the emergency potion a prefect had fed her wore off.

As they reached the table, Mia glanced at the ceiling. A clear sky with barely any clouds. 'Felicity will regret sneaking out in the middle of the night; she loves to frolic in the Sun,' she thought as she glanced at the other first year students.

(Is there room for one more? I know the books don't really tend to focus on many of the sortings, so it might not matter that the sorting's over.)

First and last name: Arashi Zadkiel.
Year: First
Appearance: A lanky fellow with long, tied-back dyed-lavender hair (his natural hue a light blond), rectangular plain-glass spectacles to make himself look smart (and make people think he'd be disadvantaged if he lost them), curious purple eyes resulting from a potions experiment on the part of one of his ancestors, and an irreverent sort of half-smile.
Wand type: Cedar and Sphinx tail-tuft.
Heritage: Arashi is the result of an old Squib line merging with a long-Anglicised off-shoot of a Japanese pureblood line. Both sides of his family are prone to eccentricity and dabbling in oddities. Arashi himself is not certain whether he qualifies as a pureblood or a halfblood.
House: It was a close call between Ravenclaw and Slytherin, but the Hat made up its mind to put him with the 'claws after he asked it a number of probing questions about its level of sentience.
History: The Zadkiels, though largely composed of Squibs, retained their family enterprise through the years - that being the breeding of magical pets. Since a conditional amendment to the ban on experimental breeding - spearheaded by one Rubeus Hagrid many years ago - the Zadkiels had striven to produce engaging and innovative pets. True, not all could be sold to those living among muggles, but there were plenty that could. Arashi has helped raise these magical pets since he was small.
Blood-type: Debatable.
Love Affliction: Does 'somewhat clueless' count?
Personality:
For the most part, Arashi is fairly laid back, preferring to observe the situation before he speaks up or changes variables, but he has a fondness for irreverence. He has a breezy lack of regard for arbitrary authority, and simply refuses to respect on demand. If he believes that the suggestions of an authority figure are reasonable, he is likely to go along with them, but he reserves respect for those he believes have earned it. With Arashi, no obedience is automatic save when the situation is perilous or it is so obvious as to become routine.

Occasionally prone to silly moods and flights of fancy, Arashi may sometimes attempt to approach situations in unconventional manners, and he wishes to cultivate a reputation as an eccentric. He is not quick to anger, preferring plotting to yelling in someone's face, but he never forgets an insult. He also has an interesting sense of morals, and sees no problem with vigilante action if he deems it required. His alignment, therefore, I describe as Chaotic Good verging on Chaotic Neutral. Oh, and he dislikes the colour crimson to a slightly irrational degree.

Arashi has a slight tendency to intellectual egotism, which expresses itself in terms of his inordinate fondness for using long words whenever he thinks he has sufficient excuse, wearing glasses that have no true lenses in order to emphasise his intelligence, and having a lower opinion (though not usually contempt) of those he perceives as stupid. Additionally, he is somewhat paranoid, and prefers to be as prepared as he possibly can, often taking a leaf out of whichever books he's currently reading. In the case of the start of his Hogwarts career, this means the inclusion of rope and a length of steel pipe in his belongings, for reasons best known to himself, along with the usual provisions and a set of night-vision goggles (enchanted, not muggle - acquired from a joke shop of some renown). He also has less than ideal social skills.
Pet: Isaac - a honey-blond tomcat with piercing blue eyes resulting from the breeding of kneazles with North American pygmy ball-tailed cats.
Changeling Fate - A Pokemon/Potter crossover starring Mewtwo.
Metrocity Magic - a Megamind/Potter crossover.
Cat's Paw - a Mewtwo fanfiction.

(Gratefully accepted. It's a rather slow-going RP, so I believe you can fit in just fine. Right now our characters have just started their first day of classes, just a heads-up for ya'll. Oh, and just if you haven't figured it out yet, you can make new spells as well, counting our RP takes a time far into the future of wizardry. Although I recommend that the made-up spell isn't an actual word in the English dictionary...)

(Thanks~ I'll just slot him in near Mia, as she seems to be an available Ravenclaw to interact with.)

Arashi yawned as he ambled along amidst the other new Ravenclaws, trying to wake up. His bleary purple eyes fixed upon a girl just ahead of him so that he wouldn't be tempted to try figuring out a short cut - which would be ill-advised - he absent-mindedly straightened his glasses. Isaac, his ball-tailed kneazle, padded along behind him, glancing around with interest, while the young wizard was distracted by the ceiling. He couldn't help it - it was just too interesting. Thankfully, he'd managed to reach the table before his focus slipped, so he wasn't lost this time. Tearing his gaze away from the sky, Arashi took a seat. He hoped that the food would present itself soon, as he didn't really feel awake until he'd had breakfast, and he didn't want to make too much of a fool out of himself.

(Also noting that the professors are all different...)
Clarisse walked to Potions. She found it very dull-minded of herself, to not remember any names of the Professors, which was probably expected of her. She wasn't the flexible type to get answers on the first try. She would probably need a lot of extra studying while she was at Hogwarts. She practically dragged herself and her schoolbag to the Potions room, and collapsed in her chair. But she did it ''lady-like'' just like her snotty-attitude mother screamed at her to do. ''Studies first, and if you actually manage to get decent friends make sure they're full-bloods. I don't want you to be influenced about the future.'' Her mother had said.

And just because of that, Clarisse would be notified to get on the good side of a half-blood, if she could. And her mother was obsessed about Charms class, so Clarisse had to flunk that too. Even if she was a bit natural with the Charms her mother had taught her before. "You all have your Year 1 Potions book, yes?" Asked the professor. He had ''magically'' appeared in front of the class, with an ivory-white smile, electrifying gold eyes, and a light-brown skin. His dark-brown hair was tinted with colors of turquoise, and for a moment she thought that he was a metamorphagus or something. Then she realized it was that Muggle hair dye. "I am Professor Lacroma, speacialized in Potions." The teacher announced.

[Gah. To get into the mood of writing and so I can actually freaking finish this fanfic update, time to work on all the RPs I'm in...]

To be honest, Hogwarts wasn't so bad.

Blowing some wayward strands of hair out of her pale face, the newly sorted Gryffindor studied her common room with mild interest. Students scurried to and fro, exchanging the latest gossip, meeting up with old friends, and some grouped together rather suspiciously in corners of the room. Later that night, several fifth years would be pranked, but Callie didn't find out about that till the next morning.

All the books she had bought from Flourish and Blotts had been pretty much devoured during the train ride, scaring off the students she shared the compartment with with her sharp and impatient tongue. One simply did not interrupt Callie's reading time. It was like fighting a dragon with a broken wand, alone in the wilderness. Play with fire, and you burn.

The phrase quite literally applied to young Callisto. The little accident that had caused her hair and eye problems did more damage than what met the eye. For one, she was constantly plagued with unorthodox nightmares about Greek mythology. Second, her hands seemed to have grown a mind of their own - and it was a pyromaniac. Third and last, well...her magic continued to have random outbursts, and rather unfortunately usually involved someone's hair into snakes. (Seriously, what was up with this Medusa magic? She definitely needed to come up with a proper incantation soon.)

Callie realized she must have fallen asleep - most likely due to stress and the fact she was a bit of an insomniac - and woke up at the crack of dawn, sweat pouring off her like a broken dam.

"Bloody nightmares," she said out loud to the empty common room.

A fire merrily crackled in the hearth, for which she was grateful. Callie figured that she would have probably frozen to death without it, since she wasn't accustomed to the frigid air of the north, more acquainted with the sleepy heat of the tropics. Stiffly stretching her frozen joints, the mild dark-haired girl managed to stumble her way up to the dorms. To her pleasant surprise, she had been assigned a lone dorm - her dad probably had something to do with that - and Psio gazed at her curiously as she fell through the door.

Muttering incoherent curses, Callie managed to get back on to her faulty feet. Falling face-first into her bed, she barely managed a mumble of "Wake me up when the sun rises." to her pet phoenix. The brilliantly colored magical beast dutifully woke her just as the sun began to peek over the horizon. With a lot of cursing that involved varying gods' names, Callie managed to shower (Dear Merlin, the water was freezing!), get dressed, and find her way to the Great Hall.

Psio followed, dramatically swooping in and out of sight with bursts of rapid golden fire. Callie was amazed she actually managed to remember the school layout, even more so when she found a solitary seat on the Gryffindor table. Several housemates cast wary looks at her, evidently knowing of her lineage. Seriously, just 'cause her ancestors did human sacrifice did not mean she did them too.

Either way, Callie was fine being seated away from her cousin. Ronnie was always excited, and it was indeed a once-in-a-lifetime moment if one could actually manage a brief look at her real hair color - a wavy hazelnut brown. Not many students were up and about yet. The sun was just rising after all. The class schedules had not yet been distributed, which saddened Callie slightly. She was looking forward to Potions and DADA, being a prodigy in both subjects. She had some bacon (no ketchup, no matter how good ketchup tasted), a few slices of buttered toast, and several refills of cold milk tea - which was quite the odd beverage to drink during breakfast.

As she slowly and meticulously went through her breakfast, Callie reread a few chapters of Confronting the Faceless by Ebba Visage and Advanced Potion-Making by Libatius Borage. Psio occasionally swooped out of her golden light shows to take drinks out of her goblet, making a few heads stare at her oddly. Callie ignored most of the looks, focusing steadily on her reading and food. Finally, she lost it when a fellow passing first year - not a Gryffindor, definitely - meekly asked why she just didn't lock her pet into her cage. Slamming her goblet down, Callie shot him a death glare, making him shrink backwards. "She's just not a pet, if you didn't notice," she hissed venomously at the boy. "She happens to be a free-spirited companion of mine, and you happen to be disturbing me."

With one last loathing glare, she went back to what she was previously doing before she was oh so rudely interrupted. Interrupting her reading was like awakening a sleeping dragon by tickling it. When would people ever learn? With a noncommittal sigh, she went back to perusing her books for a certain paragraph that had been nagging at her all week.

A few hours later, she was delighted to receive her class schedule, and after inspecting it, she barely contained a whoop of joy. Potions was first! Callie was no know-it-all. She was patient when it came to waiting for other students to catch up, and she actually liked reviewing through "basic" potions. Practice made perfect, and she had to keep up her game. She was slightly familiar with the professor, noting that he had been a few articles involving potion ingredient breakthroughs. Nothing special. She didn't go all crazy when the teacher started talking, merely paying attention. Her partner was a blonde average-looking Ravenclaw girl. When the professor set them the meager task of making a potion to cure boils, Callie expertly started crushing the six snake fangs with no squeamishness whatsoever. She quietly did not issue any orders to her Ravenclaw partner, and waited for the girl to react on her own.

[I was sort of thinking that we could pair up different students from different Houses. That way - more interaction o3o. And Callie's partner is Clarisse, in case I did a shabby job of describing her (I probably did. I have difficulty describing other people's OCs)]
