"Just fighting enough to survive day by day is a routine at this point. And for you, well you have those fancy schmancy arrows to keep you safe." She never wanted to tell anyone about her horrible dreams, not even her uncle whom she felt closest to. And it was too personal to tell...Maya was it? anyway. Eliza easily caught up to Maya and called out a pleasant "Good morning!" before slowing down to a walking pace. "Did you sleep well?" she asked, tying her hair quickly into a ponytail, knowing fully well that she sure didn't. Though after being so shaken up, talking to someone would be a good distraction. It was actually a little strange. She wasn't usually the first to go up and start a conversation, especially with someone she didn't know too well. But some company would be nice during these rough times. Her uncle would be proud of her and, she hoped, her parents would be too. If they were watching her somewhere up above.

Running endlessly. Flames licking the back of her neck. Feet pounding the ground so furiously that it felt like sprinting on shards of glass. Why can't I outrun it?? Eliza thought to herself, trying to push harder. It seemed the fire was spreading faster...or was it she who was getting slower. Suddenly, she felt like she was trudging through molasses, her legs feeling as heavy as concrete blocks. Helpless to escape her fate, she was silently consumed by the inevitable fire.

The young archer gasped and woke up, sweating and shaking. It was just a dream, as real and as emotionally painful as the last. She didn't want to tell herself it was a nightmare. Only children spooked by old ghost stories get nightmares. She stood up a little too quickly and sat back down reluctantly. Eventually, she got dressed and took everything she needed, including her dad's shabby journal which had fallen on the floor. Patrol. Let's do this. she thought as she quickly headed out.

Appearance: long straight black hair tied back, brown eyes, tan, well fitting short sleeved red shirt, leather bracers, chest guard, quiver across her back, small bag to store other useful items, black pants, flat comfortable shoes
Personality: a bit fiesty and may let her emotions get the better of her sometimes but when the situation is serious, she is calm and collected; may not be friendly at first but will warm up to those with strong morals
Weapon(s): Bow and arrow (carries normal and poison tipped arrows), knife, ~~confidence~~
Other: She's always been agile and good at hitting things from a distance. Her favorite pastime was hunting with her dad in the woods. He died trying to save her mom when their house burned down and she misses them both a lot. Because most physical objects in it were destroyed by the flames, her most prized possessions to remember them by are her bow and arrow and her dad's old journal. She now lives with her uncle and is hard on herself after loosing the two people she cared about most.
