Cassie listened as the other two explained why they had come to Thres. Privacy and relaxation seemed to be the main points people came here. She wondered if her presence wouldn't be welcome. Why was she here? Joy was skipping along happily next to Natalia and Aube, which made her smile softly. That's why she was here. "I came to..." She hesitated a bit. "I have two reasons for coming here really." She shuffled her feet a bit before continuing. "I travel to Poke Centers all over to make sure they are properly stocked and able to handle emergencies like Joy." The Audino heard her name and perked her ears up at her. "I try to visit the more remote places, so when I heard about Thres I figured it would be a good place to check." Stuffing her hands in her pockets and sighed a bit. "My brother has been changing a lot in our business since our mother passed, so when I do my checks I take a bit of an extension to get away from the family drama. Thres seems like a nice place to relax." Cassie looked out over the fields. She loved her work; she loved being able to provide the tools to care for pokemon of all kinds. Sometimes she felt as if her brother was trying to push her out of Danver's United altogether; if that happened Cassie wasn't sure what she would do. "Hi there!" Cassie raised her voice and waved as they came closer to the first person in the field- a guy with a Wingull on his shoulder. A bit further out was a girl with a Lycanroc at her side. As the three began walking out toward the berry field and the other inhabitants on Thres, Cassie's Audino trotted happily along side Natalia's Skiddo Aube. It wouldn't take them very long to reach the fields so Cassie kept a light pace with the others while looking around at the expanse of the fields ahead. She never would have guessed they would be this large- hidden away and not seen from the outside. Natalia asked them how they all came to be in this remote Town and Cassie had to chuckle. "It wasn't the easiest thing to fine, I will admit that. I head about Thres from a few elders in Lavender Town as I was doing a check on their small Pokémon Center." She stressed her arms above her before continuing. "We got lost a few times... I was hoping I could find someone whose been here awhile and ask which cabins were available." She looked over her shoulder to the Professor, "I know you came to research Porygon in a peaceful setting- but you've been here for atleast a day maybe?" She asked thinking about all the boxes that were moved in. [Read more] |

"Great!" Cassie chimed as Professor said he would join them to search for the other residents of the town. She shook Natalia's hand and smiled as she made her way back out onto the porch of the Professor's cabin. Joy stopped with a poffin mid-way to her mouth when she noticed her and tilted her head in question. "Audi?" "Looks like you're making some good friends- want to see if we can find some more?" Cassie asked her partner who jumped up happily. "I hope you shared some of your snacks with this nice Skiddo...?" Joy looks between her bag of poffins, Re and the new Skiddo before holding out her hand and offering them the last two from her pouch. Cassie shielded her eyes to try and see out to the berry fields and could make out two figures within shouting distance from one another. "I guess that's where we should head, then?" She asked the other two, motioning to the fields as she stepped off the porch and her pokemon followed close behind. [Read more] |

Cassie listened while the Professor went onto explain more of his research to her. She wished there was some way she could help, but she doubted she'd be very useful. "...So what do you do for a profession?" He asked as she put away a few books. Before she could answer there was a knock on the door followed by a girls voice, "Hello? Hi, I'm Natalia. I wanted to... I wanted to see if there was anyone here who could... tell me some things about this place." The girl seemed a bit unsure and hesitant. Cassie smiled and went to the door, seeing a Skiddo now joined on the porch with Joy and Re. "Hi." She held out her hand to the girl, "I'm Cassidy, you can call me Cass or Cassie." She motioned to the Professor. "Sorry, but seems we are both pretty new to the area ourselves. Professor, you said something about hearing a few other people, right?" Turning back to Natalia, "We could both go looking to see if any of them are more informed about the town? I have a few questions myself." Hesitating, Cassie looked back to the Professor. "Oh, unless you'd like me to stay and help more?" She had already breezed through a good amount of the boxes for him. "Or I could come back and help once I'm settled..." Joy hesitated only for a moment before happily sharing her poffins with Re. Cassie was glad Re wasn't afraid of Joy; they had encountered a few pokemon in their travels that seemed to not trust her with her odd markings. "Don't wander, ok?" She said before going into the cabin. Cassie worked on the larger pile while the Professor talked about his Porygon studies, and wanting his privacy here in Thres. She resisted the urge to apologize again, instead just listened and put away some of the belongings. "...But you probably don't want to hear about that." He said, which made her raise a brow. "I don't mind." She shrugged with a smirk, "I'm naturally curious." She made quick work through two of the boxes already, breaking them down as she went and stacked them against a far wall. "Didn't Silph Co. create the Up-Grade originally?" Asking, she had a vague memory of Silph Co. being located in Saffron City- which was just South of Thres...right? "Going all the way to Johto seems like a long way to go for an item if you could get it closer..." She hmm'd to herself, wondering if Danvers United still had a standing contract with Silph; it had been far too long since her brother let her even glance at the books. [Read more] |

"Nice to meet you Professor Cypress." Cassie shifted to set her pack down on the porch so as not to interfere with his belongings. "Au?" Joy tugged at her pants again, still unsure. Cassie thought a moment; with Joy being very inquisitive she thought it best to not let her inside the cabin- especially if there were certain boxes she wasn't supposed to touch. Digging around in her pack she pulled out a small bag of poffins and handed them to the pokemon. "Audino!" Joy's eyes lit up at the sight of her favorite treat and she came up on the porch finally. She sat down and munched one happily. "Maybe you could make a friend?" She said nodding to the Chatot. Turning her attention back to the Professor. "Research equipment, huh? What are you researching way out here?" She asked ready to tackle some of the boxes- she really didn't like idle hands. [Read more] |

Cassie gulped when she heard the irritation in the mans voice and bowed instinctively. "I'm so sorry to bother you!" Standing back up, "I was hoping you could tell me if I'm in the right place- this is Thres, right?" In the not-so-far-off distance she heard the distinct sound of a Taillow and wondered if it also lived in town with a trainer- she wondered if her own Taillow would befriend it. Looking back at the man and his Chatot she noticed the boxes spread out inside. "Would you like a hand?" She asked tentatively motioning to the boxes, not wanting to over step. Cassie and Joy had walked to the largest fire pit in the center of the town. Joy peered over the stones to try and touch the old firewood that had long been torched but yelped when it crumbled to ash. It blew up a gust of the soot up at the little Audino. Cassie shook her head, leaning down to wipe off the grime. Sometimes she really thought she was taking care of a toddler. Out of the corner of her eyes she spotted another bird; a Chatot? Idling wondering if it had been the same one that had squawked before. "Hmm..." When she stood back up she was sure she could even hear voices as the wind carried over to them. Deciding to follow where the bird went, it didn't take long to come to another cabin. A bit cleaned up then some of the others, and looked like the porch itself had shoes prints as if someone had made a few trips in and out. "Hello? Is anyone there? I'm sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if I could ask you a question or two..." She said as she knocked softly on the side of the door, Joy watched the Chatot closely as she found safety behind Cassie's leg. [Read more] |

Cassidy held her two maps out infront of her, trying to make sense of the hand-drawn one compared to her larger map of Kanto. "How is this place not even on the regions map?" She mumbled, half frustrated with her self for getting lost and annoyed more with herself for listening to such an elderly woman on how to find the town of Thres. At this point she wasn't even sure if it actually existed. "For all I know she could have been thinking about a different town in another region altogether!" Making a sound in her throat she tucked them both back in her larger cargo pocket of her pants, deciding to just enjoy the scenery. "Au-di... Au-di... Au-di-nooo." She smiled as Joy sang, bouncing from one foot to another. Cassie sometimes forgot just how child-like the half pint acted; it was enough to make her let go of some of the frustration she had built up. Joy stopped short and tilted her head, her good ear twitching right before Cassie heard the squawk of another pokemon. "Audi?" Joy whispered when they heard the distinct 'Help!' cry at the end. Cassie walked closer and placed a reassuring hand on her partners head. "It's alright. Maybe we are close?" Sure enough in a matter of moments they pushed through into a clearing; cabins lay peacefully around, a large fire pit loomed off in the center. At her calf she felt Joy shudder and wondered if she thought the same-- It gave an all new meaning to 'Ghost Town'. Regardless, Cassie kept walking albeit much slower now as to not startle anyone or any pokemon. [Read more] |

While her brother only focused on large cities, she made more of an effort to reach the distant and remote centers. Recently, Cameron took full control of the company and after many arguments she started spending longer periods away from home. On one extended stay in Unova she helped Nurse Joy when a damaged egg was brought in after a horrible lightening storm. Cassie slept bundled with the egg for nights until it finally hatched into a very small Audino with odd markings- almost as if the egg had been struck by lightening. Naming it after Joy, she partnered with the small pokemon and decided to travel to more remote healing centers in order to make sure they are well equipped for such incidents like the one involving her partner; whether making sure it was stocked with supplies from her family's company or Herbal remedies. Coming to Kanto was no different; after visiting Lavender Town she was given a crude hand-drawn map of how to reach the Town of Thres. Main Pokémon Companion: Audino - Joy (F) Shiny*. *Due to an accident involving her egg, Joy hatched as a shiny with small lightening shaped pale pink marks all over her body.
