Tsukasa could feel it again; call it what you will, a sixth sense, a minor gift of prophecy, but he was unnervingly alert to the presence of others. Glancing around the room, he let out a happy gasp upon seeing who it was. Breaking off from the group, the brown-haired boy bounded over to Alison, face lighting up like Christmas had come early. "Hey! Hey! Alison, come with us! We're going to make egg goo," Tsukasa said, already dragging the poor girl behind him. "You'll love it, don't worry!"

-

Amane briefly wondered where his brother was off to, but shrugged and dismissed it. It didn't really matter - he knew Tsukasa would be back by the time they started. Raising an eyebrow at 'Ri's words, he wondered exactly how long it would take to wash egg out of his robes. "Uh, aren't raw and uncooked eggs the same thing?" Internally, he added, and since when were we limiting this to each other? It wouldn't be wise to let the Head Boy in on their full plans, though, at least not yet, so he had to appreciate Hurricane's tact.

-

Stumbling slightly to keep pace with her best friend, Nene smiled, surprised that such a random idea was quickly turning into a group activity. She didn't know Suvansh very well, but she knew that he wasn't the most stuck-up, pretentious person like one might expect of a Head Boy. With that in mind, she figured it would be fine for him to come along. What's the worst that could happen? The teachers were all busy with preparations and such, so she didn't think they'd be expecting any trouble on just the second night.

W-WHAT?! All Nene could do was give a soft squeak as her face started to heat up. Okay, sure, he wasn't her type, but she wasn't exactly expecting him to outright flirt with her! She was just caught off guard, that was all. "T-that's-" She took a breath to try and compose herself. Stupid Ravenclaw boy, being mischievous like that, of course he was just messing with her. "If my choices are three in the morning in the hallway or being stuck with you, I'll take the hallway," Nene shot back, only half-serious.

-

"W-whaaaat?!" Amane gave Nene a playfully wounded look before huffing and whirling around to face the student following them at a distance. "Fine then. Hey, you! Are you joining us, or what?" Smiling once more, he beckoned to the Head Boy, already sensing Tsukasa's intention to drag the poor unsuspecting student into the fray. Although in truth he was a bit miffed at Nene's sharp rejection, he felt more challenged by it than discouraged by it.

-

Tsukasa grinned, amused both by Amane's attempt to flirt with Nene and by the way the Head Boy seemed to be joining in without realizing it as he laughed at the small group's antics. Elated that Amane called the boy over, Tsukasa waved at Suvansh as well, internally smirking but keeping an innocent grin on his face. Perfect.

At 'Ri's last comment, Tsukasa noticed Suvansh lurking suspiciously in the background and simply winked. "Weeelll," he said, making sure that he kept his voice a little too loud, "if he wanted to join in, I wouldn't object." Now that would be something special - dragging an actual Head Boy into the chaos. Oooh, he really wanted to see what would happen if a Head Boy got caught egging students, but he figured it would be even more fun to have someone so high up as an accomplice instead, so no ratting him out. For now.

-

Nene huffed, grabbing her best friend's arm tightly. "I don't 'put up with you', you put up with me," she retorted, adamant that Hurricane never feel like she was a burden. She smiled at 'Ri, bumping her gently. "I mean, not just anyone would follow me around like a tired mom trying to keep her kids from putting their hands on the stove." Sheepishly, she turned to the boys. "I uh...have a reputation for being impulsive. Like, for instance, following-strangers-into-the-dungeons-because-they-look-cute-and-ending-up-locked-out-of-the-dorm-at-three-am-thanks-to-them-leaving-me-behind kind of impulsive." Nene sighed, rubbing her face with the palm of her free hand. "In my shallow defense, he was really cute, and he promised he'd stick with me!"

-

Amane couldn't help but laugh slighly at the blonde's unexpected antics. Ah, so she found it hard to resist interesting things or pretty boys, huh? Well, although it was a bit silly, it was still pretty sweet. Allowing a playful smirk to cross his face, he sneakily grabbed Nene's free hand, leaning close to her. "Stick with me instead," he said, deliberately lowering his voice. "I'll treat you way better than that guy did."

Eyes sparkling, Tsukasa nodded vigorously. "Chaos, yes," he said, thinking that he liked this Hurricane girl very much already. "What are we going to call this? Amane said that the original incantation was something like egg goo," the boy rattled off, tucking his hands behind his back as he walked. "Should we work with that? Or use egg yolk in the name? Or make it a pun? Or use Latin?" Now he was really on a roll, ideas for variations on the spell popping into his head.

-

Amane, having recovered a bit, laughed as 'Ri nearly tripped over herself. "Yeah, nothing," he agreed teasingly, rolling his eyes a bit. Turning to Nene, he tilted his head curiously at her. "How did you get roped into this? Honestly, you don't seem like the troublemaking type to me." She seemed...well, not exactly innocent, but not like a person to go looking for trouble, either.

-

Nene giggled as 'Ri caught herself, and closed her eyes with a thumbs up in response to her best friend's attempt to save face. Jumping slightly at Amane's question, she turned to look at him, wondering why he'd been so shy a few moments ago but so outgoing now. "Oh, well, 'Ri is my best friend, so I want to go along with her, and this sounded fun," she said, explaining herself a bit. She sighed. "You're right that trouble usually finds me instead of the other way around, though," Nene added, thinking of many previous instances that had been less than ideal.

Amane grinned as he made his way over to the two girls, pulling Tsukasa along with him. "That's Hurricane," he said, waving back at her. "I'm glad we were able to find them so fast." Tsukasa nodded, following his brother closely. "I was talking about the other girl, though," he said, pointing to the blonde-haired girl that was now jumping out of her seat to join her friend. Amane blinked, shifting his gaze...to... Woah.

Giggling, Tsukasa waved to the girls. Ah, he knew his twin so well. That blonde girl...was totally Amane's type. "Hiiii," he said, grinning both out of enthusiasm for the planned activity and out of satisfaction at seeing Amane so flustered. "I'm Tsukasa, this is Amane." Nudging his brother with a knowing smirk, he did his best not to laugh as Amane gave a weak greeting to the girls, now staring hard at the ground. "Ready to get this party started?"

-

Nene bounced up to join her friend, nodding eagerly. "Yesss, let's go, let's go!" Smiling as the two boys approached them, she couldn't help a pang of disappointment. These boys...were totally not her type. Oh well. She gave them both a wave as well, taking in the twins as Tsukasa introduced themselves. Tsukasa was a Slytherin, she noticed, and he had a wide smile and a somewhat innocent face, but something told her that there was something...strange about him. Amane seemed kind of shy, by the way he was sort of glaring at the ground; he had the same innocence and smile as his brother, but there was something about him that felt kinder, and more genuine. Nene stuck out a hand to Tsukasa, pleased that he shook it. "I'm Nene Yashiro, it's nice to meet you both."

Hanako nodded, giving the pocket knife back to the slightly less upset girl. It was sweet of everyone to share, but he wasn't about to give his life's story to a few strangers. "Well, I'm glad you're doing better, now," he said, standing up. "But Mr. Magic is right. Are you sure you're alright?"

Hanako nodded and slipped the small blade into his pocket. "I'll keep it for you until you want it again." Keeping his hand on her shoulder, he shook his head. "The big blonde guy is sweet, but not helping." He sighed. "Death...is the end, for the dead. But this doesn't need to be the end for you." He knew all too well what she was feeling. He'd...rather not think about how he knew, but it was hard to stop the memories once they started. Willing his hands not to shake, he quietly said, "I've killed someone, too. Someone I cared about. Out of hurt. I know how you feel."

Hanako quietly sat down next to her, putting a hand on her shoulder in comfort. "I bet that was scary. Trust me," he said, dropping his gaze for a moment, "I would know."

With another sigh, but still smiling, Hanako wet a washcloth at the kitchen sink and crouched down next to Spyder, gently pulling one of her hands away from her face. "Spyder, right? I'm Hanako. Here, why don't you wash up a bit," he said kindly, handing her the damp cloth. "I know you didn't mean to do that. It's alright, I'm not going to do anything to you."

Hanako raised an eyebrow as she changed form and ran out. Hm. Maybe better than Tsukasa after all. Figuring it would be bad for someone super involved to go after her, Hanako sighed and held up a hand as if to stop everyone else. “Let me give this a shot. If she doesn’t respond to me, I’ll come back and let you know.” With that, he left the group, eventually catching up with the distraught creature. “Hello...uh, Spyder, was it?” Letting his cape form fall away, Hanako gave her a smile. “I’m Hanako. And I’m not going to hurt you or yell at you, or anything.”

Hanako, though admittedly a little indifferent to the death of a complete stranger from another world, did NOT like where this was going. Whoever- no, whatever that thing was, it was reminding him way too strongly of a certain brother of his. Well, he reasoned dryly, at least it wasn't any more than he was used to dealing with. Tsukasa...had done worse. "Haku-joudai," he muttered quietly, holding out a hand as if to beckon the spirit that transformed him. The folds of his cape gently sweeping behind him, Hanako calmly stretched out his arm, pointing the knife at the murderous creature. His world or not, he felt as though this was close enough to count as his job. "Who are you, and what do you want?"

Casually pulling a knife from his pocket, Hanako grinned at Beatrice. "More like getting rid of anything trying to cause trouble. I actually have a human assistant, but yes, there are rules about how the two sides can interact."

Hanako smiled, tipping his head to the side. "Close enough," he said, shrugging. "I'm an apparition, and in my world, I have a duty to maintain balance between those like me and the living."

"I'm also dead," Hanako offered, not really wanting to jump into the whole family side of the story. He knew quite well how monstrous people could be.

Nene giggled, happy to see 'Ri so excited about something. Both of them seemed to have had a long first day, but honestly, she was kind of glad for an excuse to just let loose and relax. Most of her professors had given some admittedly terrifying speeches about how important O.W.L.'s were, leaving Nene with lots of stress. Messing around with 'Ri and pranking some of the Hufflepuff boys did sound like a great way to get her mind off of things for a while. "Well, alright, I guess I can't argue with that," she relented, nudging her friend warmly. "So, who're the masterminds who inspired this? You said...uh, Yugi? Something like that?" Craning her head to look behind 'Ri, she let her gaze wander over the Ravenclaw table. "What do they look like?"

Having finished up, Tsukasa leapt up from his spot, bouncing in place eagerly as he waited for Amane. The longer they stayed here, the more excited he was getting; what an interesting year this was going to be! From a deadpanning, staring Ravenclaw to an apparently mischievous pair of Hufflepuff girls, this was shaping up to be a great time. Glancing over at the Hufflepuff table, he let out a small gasp as he locked eyes with one of the students, a girl with blonde hair and a curious smile. "Hey Amane, I guess we're popular, huh? There's another person staring at us. That makes two today," Tsukasa noted. Amane raised an eyebrow, standing up to join his brother. "Huh? Who?"

Hanako nodded to Beatrice and Annabelle, raising an eyebrow slightly at the talking flower's cynical attitude. What on earth got that thing in a twist? It didn't seem to be...an apparition, really, but there was something very unusual about it that made him wary. "Your dad?" Well, that explained how they were connected to "Four". "Why are you looking for him, then?"

Torn between being amused by the banter between all of the random people - well, creatures? - around him, being offended at everyone's distaste with humans (even if he was technically an apparition now), and being confused about who Four was supposed to be (last time he checked, Number Four had in fact not followed him here), Hanako jumped with the others upon hearing the shout and loud noises. "That sounds...unfortunate," he said, although he didn't look too bothered by it. Shrugging, he followed Wirt.

"Mildly dangerous?" A white wisp was suddenly followed by a grinning young boy with choppy brown hair, a black school uniform, and a strange patch on his left cheek. "Count me in. What is this, by the way, and what are we doing?" He'd been immensely surprised to find a new path suddenly open up in his world, drawing him to whatever this place was; some sort of pocket dimension he guessed, judging by the very strange array of people that he now saw in front of him. "Name's Hanako, by the way."

Amane was interrupted from his hamburger by being tightly hugged from behind. Coughing slightly, he patted his brother's hands, managing to squeak out a hello before Tsukasa let go. "Next time, please warn me," he said, shaking his head but smiling all the same as Tsukasa just shrugged and sat down next to him. The two hadn't been able to meet up for lunch after all, as a career counseling meeting for Tsukasa dragged him away from the dining hall that afternoon. Instead, Amane had arranged to meet the Hufflepuff girl, 'Ri, after dinner, though he had yet to tell his brother about it. "Tsukasa, listen. You're going to love what I've got planned for tonight."

"Oh?" That had certainly gotten the Slytherin boy's attention, hand halfway to his mouth clutching a biscuit. Leaning confidentially towards his twin, Amane explained in a hushed voice about the "Prot-egg-oh" mishap and the resulting spell. The more he revealed the plan, the wider Tsukasa's grin got. "So. We're going to meet the Hufflepuff and her friend and turn the spell into a real spell to prank everyone." Giggling and clutching Amane's arm, the boy simply started to scarf food down as fast as he could, showing his eagerness to get to the 'meeting' ahead of them. Though he rolled his eyes, Amane began to eat faster as well.

-

Nene raised an eyebrow at her best friend. While this wasn't exactly unusual for 'Ri, it was also not Nene's typical vein of troublemaking. "Wait, so...you messed up a spell in class, and now you want to...take all the yolks out of eggs?" Although she understood the hilarity of the situation in class (how nice of that one Ravenclaw to help her out!), she had to admit she didn't really see the point of messing up perfectly good eggs. "But what are you going to do with it all? And isn't it messy?" Despite her doubts, her curiosity had already gotten the better of her. "I mean, of course I'm going, anyways," she said, grinning. 'Ri was her best friend, after all. Whatever random mess one of them got in, eventually the other one would be dragged in, so might as well just speed up the process.
