![]() Ten people wake up on an island. Each of them has committed a sin against themselves; betrayed the one thing in the world they valued. Whether that be a person, an ideal, or simply their own self-respect, they have failed themselves and others irrefutably. Hence why they wake up here. Ten people. Ten days. Every last one of them must admit to themselves, to everyone, the truth they hold dormant within them. Or else, at the final day, then Cygne Island itself will put them to death. And the one traitor among them, who has organised this whole ordeal will reveal their truths to the world. Can these strangers learn to overcome their distrust, break past their personas in order to work together, and reveal on the tenth day? Or will their lies swallow them whole, and have them take an honourable death over that one, crushing moment of vulnerability? I can't answer that. But you can. After all, you are one of these ten liars. The mistakes of your past weigh heavily on you; in the beginning, your answer will be no. But after you come to know the others... what then? Can you sentence nine human beings to death, at the price of keeping your secret from them, just a little longer? Welcome to Judgement Day![]() ![]() 1.
PH rules apply.
2. Characters must be balanced. They may be as smart or strong as you like, but above all, they must be a fairly flawed person and not an idealised form. 3. Do not control others' characters. You have your own character for a reason. Characters will only make their choices under the person whom they belong to. Example: Example lunged forward, her fist at the ready to punch Example2 and relished in his squeak of fear. The person controlling Example cannot make Example2 squeak in fear. It is up to Example2's roleplayer to make that call of what Example2 will do. 4. Keep your characters consistent! This roleplay is all about character development, but make sure that it's as linear as possible, and the changes that occur have a basis in who your character is. You have ten days! Take your time. 5. Paragraph style and third person. This style means that you will write your posts like a book. Such as- ("Hello," she said. "It's nice to meet you." She held out her hand for a handshake.) opposed to (Hello, it’s nice to meet you *I said and held my hand out for a handshake* ) This is to keep the posts clean and as easy to understand as possible. There is no minimum word count, but try not to do one liners. 6. If you are going out of character, then please put it in brackets. It can be confusing otherwise. 7. Your character MUST be human. 8. Send @Serendibite a PM describing your secret, but make that that you put thought into it beforehand! It can't be changed once the roleplay starts, and it has to be something intrinsically tied to their motivations and their characterisation. Don't reveal it right away, either. Definitely foreshadow it, but until Day Ten, it should be a secret from everyone, roleplayers and characters included. There can be exceptions, depending on how the roleplay goes, but keep it under wraps in the beginning. 9. Be active. The roleplay runs on a timeline, so be sure not to miss anything! It's all about character interactions, and you don't want to be the one character everyone forgot was even in the roleplay. Let's make it angsty! 10. Have fun! If you have any questions go ahead and ask! ![]() [b]Name:[/b]

Persephone hated this stupid guy, his stupid itchy sweater, and his stupid weird-ass smirk every time he thought he'd pulled something over on her. Even his ugly face (UGLY, you got that? He was UGLY) just made her want to scream, and before she knew it, some snarky comment was falling off her lips. The guy reminded her of Vivienne in the worst ways. From the very first moment she saw him in the cafeteria, she knew what he was. A liar. Maybe even he didn't know it. Just like her, he'd pretend to himself that he was a good person. And everyone would fall for it, and they'd hate Persephone and whisper about how much of a bully she was, and oh, poor little Jacob, or whatever his name was. Stupid phony people, loving their stupid phony hero and his hideous taste in clothing, and hating Persephone for catching onto their bull. Liars all around, that's what this school was. Whole party of 'em. Just full of it. And the whole lying shebang just made her sick. But it didn't change anything. No, nothing at all. No matter how much they lied, how much they twisted the story, no matter how they elevated this guy in the end, she'd rule this place 'till graduation. If they wanted her, then they could have her for all she, Persephone O'Couna, was. She'd be their Regina George if that was the game they wanted to play. She'd be their bad guy. And this guy had no idea the storm she'd bring down on his head. He might think he was some big shot, getting to stand at her side in this infantile school play, but she'd show him. She wasn't a sweet spring shower, she was a hurricane. And he would learn just what happened to people who understimated her. Thunder crackled outside. Persephone gasped, suddenly jolted out of her thoughts. "What the..." she muttered, peering at the window. It was totally blacked out- she couldn't even see a flash. [Read more] |

Setsuna JunZzzzzzz. [Setsuna passes out for the next 6ish hours until dinnertime.] Kubo Atsushi"You know, I remember that as surely as if it was yesterday, Kubo. I thought you were just a timid, stammery kid... someone who could break apart with a single touch. I suppose it wasn't that long ago... though. I actually felt bad for you, you know. When Miyako drew on your face that day." "You felt bad for me?" Kubo frowned. "Why? Over Miyako's childish prank? Don't be ridiculous." It was embarrassing, of course... but that was such a minute detail compared to everything else that had happened. Four people dead, a class full of people hating and coming for him, and Darcy chose to focus on something Miyako had done on day 1? So many worse things had happened to Kubo since, he didn't see how it could possibly matter. Though... maybe it did to Darcy. Maybe that was one moment, where he saw Kubo as a soft, vulnerable thing in need of protection. Kubo hated the thought. He really did. But he couldn't help but wonder if maybe, just maybe, Darcy was right. He could see how that day could've been the start of when he really decided he hated this whole school, and everyone in it. The day he realised they were all out to get him and use him for their ridiculous whimsies... Though of course that was nothing, considering that four people were dead. And people had done far worse things in the meantime then play a harmless prank. Whatever he felt about that day, about Miyako... it was unimportant in the grand scheme of things. And besides, for as cruel and manipulative as she could be, Miyako was an idiot. Kubo knew that. But still... somehow, in a way that unnerved him now that he was starting to realise it, her opinion mattered to him, to Darcy now. For a filthy hypocrite with a moral compass that seemed to be wired to go ballistic every other hour, she had too much control over him. Way too much control over everyone. Miyako Hiroto. The name sent chills down his spine. If his suspicions were correct... "You had trust issues. So much difficulty trusting people. And... hell, I think you still do." Darcy looked awkward at the thought, and Kubo found himself unable to capture Darcy's gaze in his. "You thought every act of kindness, people just did it to gain something out of you. You must have thought that of Lucian too, I imagine." Kubo scowled, not appreciating the psychoanalysis. "Pot meet kettle," he muttered, but he strangely found that he couldn't meet Darcy's eyes. "As if half the people in this dump- (including YOU)- don't already have trust issues. I can't imagine that any of us will be walking away from this place without some freshly acquired mental problems." "You know... Kubo. It's not who you are. At least, it doesn't have to be. That's just an excuse. I know that's rich... coming from... me, of all people. Ugh. Jeez. I'm starting to sound like him, aren't I? Spouting all that cheesy, idealistic... stuff. But... saying it's just the way you are. That's no good. That's nothing but an excuse." An excuse? The hell? "Who are you to tell me how my mind works? Who I am is who I am. You don't know what my life's been like, or who I want to be." His brow furrowed as he crossed his arms. "Sure, I'm a sh***y person. Maybe that puts me at higher risk of dying or whatever, but that's my prerogative. I'll play nice from now on, so what's your point?" "Oh, I'M an idiot? I'm not the one...never mind. I've... said some things I regret, too. I can admit that. But you know, those aren't the only people you've been saying that to. Look, I'm... really not some naive, overly idealistic sap like Lucian is. But you can change, if you try." "People say they'll change all the time. But let's be honest here, how many really do?" Kubo crossed his arms. "Lucian's... special. He's a good person, or as close to one as you can get. What can you say about other people, really though? Everyone fakes it. Manners, smiles, little 'I love you's? Love doesn't last, and neither does any of that. Soon it's off to to screamsville while the kids hide in the closet." He shook his head. "Don't try and sell me any of that 'people can change' crap. You're either born good, or you're born bad, and there's nothing you can do to change it. Some people are lucky, and they don't realise they're a piece of s**t until the day they die, because they never know just what they've done. They're stupid. They don't realise they've killed the kid across the street, because none of the things they said that drove him to hang himself simply weren't important to them. That's what people do. Hurt and hurt and hurt, most without ever even seeing it. Sure, some people are born to help people. Lucian's one of them. But they're not the majority. Most of us are just murderers waiting for the chance, and we're so stupid we don't realise we're just how screwed up we really are." Kubo blinked, surprised to find tears in his eyes. "This murder game... it's a bit of a work of art, isn't it? It forces us to address the demons in us, and come right out and tell everyone how horrible we really are." He laughed dryly. "I said some awful stuff to Lucian and Idris back there. And I hate myself for it, but really, I just hate myself because I know I meant it." He smiled, just a bit. "And I know that... most people would deny that. I'd have denied it a while ago, when I was that 'timid, stammery kid' of yours. But now I..." He forced the words out. "I know that I'm destined for hell. Kaoru knew it too, from the moment she met me." He felt like throwing up. But he had to keep going. "But still, I... I promise, I can play nice. I can know all these things, and still play nice for you Darcy." For a little while longer. Until we get out of this killing game. And then... I can rest. "So please. Just leave me alone a little while longer. I don't want to know you, and you don't want to know me, not really. So don't sell me any of that 'redemption' bull." There was, after all, no redemption for those already damned. Hell's flames licked at Kubo's heels. All he could do was fight so that Lucian, the one good person in all of this, wouldn't be dragged down with him. He had no illusions about the others. Saeko, Akari, Sutaraitsu... they would be murderers too. It didn't matter if they'd evaded the urge so far. If even a sweet, shy kid like that Setsuna could commit murder, then who really was resistant to the siren's call? Lucian. Focus on Lucian. "I don't need redemption. I just need peace and quiet... for a little while longer. I promise you, you'll get a return on your investment." He attempted a grin, but it felt fake, even to him. "...just... a chocolatier, okay?" "Yeah. And I'm just a detective. So maybe let me do my job, huh?" He raised an eyebrow, only half-mockingly. "I'll let you make chocolates, and you can let me get us outta here. Sound like a fair trade?" "Did you just call them... Soy Sauce? Do you... even know them that well?" Kubo sweated. "Uh... that's not important." He shoved the door harder. "Come on, move..." "No... tell me about it." Kubo didn't answer. He'd already told Darcy more than enough. And that particular story... He wanted to keep to himself. His head snapped up when he spotted the two buff figures lurking in the shadows. Sweating, he took a few steps back, feeling for the doorknob- And then they went for the kill. Kubo screamed, his life flashing before his eyes, and then suddenly... BANG! He and Darcy were shoved into a dark cramped space. And before he could start yelling, a gust of air erupted under his feet... sending the two of them flying upwards. The two popped out of the airduct, the vent cover slamming into the ceiling. It stayed there, dust falling around it... but still embedded in the plaster. So that was uh... "What the-" Kubo blinked. "What just happened?" [Read more] |

Persephone scowled at him, making no move to take the sweater. "I'd rather freeze." Crossing her arms, she prayed that wouldn't come to pass. She'd really rather die than take anything from this dude. Who knew what he'd use with that information. The school couldn't get that cold at night... surely they'd do some regular maintenance, they had to do something to the upkeep with all that funding from the fifty bakesales they did a year... Then she remembered the football team, and the unfortunate obsession the board of education had with obnoxious sweaty boys tackling each other in a grass pit. With a grimace, she snatched the sweater from him and yanked it on. [Read more] |

"Angry? You're delusional," she scoffed, making no move to take any of the energy bars. "Clearly you know nothing about me if you think I'll take food from you." Shooting him a glare, Persephone gave the window a last tug before huffing and throwing herself down on a chair. "Great. Trapped after school with what's-his-face George the theatre nerd. It sounds like a caption to a crappy anime." [Read more] |

Buffkuma & Wifekuma <333It was a beautiful day in Hope's Peak Academy. The children were murdering each other, the air was filled with the sound of mental breakdowns, and Buffkuma had his beautiful wife in his arms. Just as they leaned in for a steamy, romantic kiss, then a loud *crash* echoed through the corridor. "Oh dear," Wifekuma sighed into Buffkuma's neck. "It looks like the children are at the property damage again. Should I fetch the tutus?" "The only one I want to see in a tutu is you, my darling." Buffkuma pressed a kiss to her paw and she giggled. "Oh, you~" "Oh YOU~" "I love you so much darling," she said with a smile. "I'm so glad I met you. The day in the Build-A-Bear workshop when we met... truly the second best day of my life, besides the day where that loud purple haired girl died. You and your murder game have made my life so romantic!" Buffkuma laughed his incredibly buff cackle. "PUHUHUHUHU---. Oh, such a beautiful day! It felt like just yesterday... I can't believe it'll soon be the three day anniversary of crushing the emo boy's hopes and dreams. Perhaps we should plan out a second wedding?" Buffkuma flexed his bicep, tapping his chad chin thoughtfully. "Yes! And force all the children to attend in tutus!" Their beautiful dream solidified, the two lovers linked arms and rode off into the sunlight without a horse. A gorgeous sunset silhouetted their backs, a truly romantic glow settling over the scene. Great things (tutus) were coming. True love, folks. [Read more] |

She shot him an irritated glare. "I'll have you know that someone did. I don't willingly stay for hours after class to scrub spit-stains off the windows, though I'm sure that's a wonderful hobby that you very much enjoy. I've got a life." Persephone tested the window, frowning when it didn't give way. "Oh shut up. Like I'd waste time on a no-name like you, Joshua." [Read more] |

"Oh great," she said ungracefully. "Stuck with the theatre-for-brains. Could my day get any worse?" She shot him a glare them stormed off down the hall, not willing to be near him too long, lest she catch whatever he was carrying. From now on, she'd NEVER stay after class, no matter how much anyone begged her. Except maybe Narcisse Michon. That kid was cute. Now HE was someone she wouldn't mind being stuck in a room with for a few hours. [Read more] |

Raising her eyebrows, Persephone decided to test that theory. It wasn't that she didn't trust him... but well, he wasn't exactly competent. She gave the knob a twist, and yep, it was locked. "Oh great." She sighed. "What did you do?" [Read more] |

Miyako HirotoMiyako nearly scoffed at his threat. He really didn't get her, did he? No matter how much he threatened her, no matter how much of a dirtbag he was, she wasn't going to blackmail him. It grated on her nerves, the assumptions he made about everything she did. But it was fine. No matter what, she wouldn't lose sight of who she was, and she sure as hell wouldn't sacrifice her morals for some woman-hating idiot. So she'd figure out a way to help him. God save my soul. "Kill me, huh?" she muttered, and her hand found the edge of her bracelet, fiddling softly with the stone. The image of Shi's gentle face flickered in her mind's eye. "Sorry Idris, not yet. Maybe some other time." After all, that life was already promised to somebody else. And until she fulfilled her promise, she'd stay here, with her guilt and her hatred, and she'd do everything she could to make up for what she'd done. [Read more] |

A head poked around the corner. "What's that about janitors? Did they finally see the light and offer you the position you were meant to be in?" Persephone O'Couna strode into the room, flipping her ebony black hair over her shoulder, pale blue eyes already focused on Jackson. A sneer was just starting to creep up her lips, another rude comment on her mind, when she spotted the locked door, with his backpack in front of it. "Are you seriously trying to trap me in here?" she asked with a scoff. "That backpack of yours is gonna do jack, little boy. Step aside before I call the cops. I got practice with my friends right about now. A foreign concept to you, I'm sure, but some of us have lives." [Read more] |
