*Maddy looked at Sage* If he wants me gone, he will have to use more than a few men to remove me from the city. *Sage lead Maddy to Blossom's home. Maddy put her hand on the doorknob but the door opened from the otherside. Dylan opened the door and looked slightly surprised upon seeing Maddy* Maddy? Wh er n did Benton let you back into the city? *Maddy shook her head* Never, I just came to be with Tani. *Dylan chuckled* That's right, I keep forgetting. Well *Dylan moved out of the way* she's all yours. *Maddy nodded and went inside. She saw Tani was asleep and laying in a bed. She was covered in burn marks, bandages, and what looked like a herbal lotion on her skin. Maddy sat down next to Tani and helped her hand.* Tani, it's me, Maddy. *Tani remained unchanged upon hearing this. Maddy began to tear up* Tani, I promise you. I will find who did this to you. Just hang in there. *Tani began to say the phrase she had been saying before in her sleep* Silver....... Maddy...... war. *Maddy heard this and leaned over Tani to kiss her forehead. After kissing her, she stood up and began to walk out the door. She passed Sage and looked at her* I want guards watching this place at all times.

	An hour passed by and Tani was taken to Blossom's house to be watched and protected. Maddy sat in her cell with her face in her palms and her legs shackled to the floor. *Two guards stood at the gate talking to one another. The first guard seemed to be making a joke* So I say to the guy, "Man, what god? The only people I worship are the teenagers controlling us on a futuristic play system *The second guard just looked at him* Lou, that has got to be the worst joke I've ever heard. Worse than your joke about how Rat leaders and lizards with crowns *Maddy ran past the two and the two of them watched her until realizing she wasn't suppose to be there* Hey stop! You can't be here *Maddy didnt stopp running, so the 2 guards chased after her, one of which miraculously caught up to her and tackled her to the ground. Maddy began to struggle* Let me go! My girlfriend is in- *The other guard hit Maddy over the head with his sword and began to shackle her.* You are under arrest for treason and treasury against the city of Telmar *The second guard looked up at the Lou* You mean trespassing? *Lou nodded* Oh ya, and that! *The two of them picked Maddy up and began to bring her to the city's jail*

*Tani smiled and grabbed the piece of pie. She brought it with her to her home where she immediately sat down to eat it upon returning. While eating the pie, she heard movement outside but wrote it off as merely just the cityguard doing their nightly rounds. But that was until something flew through her window and landed right in her pie. She looked at it and realized immediately it was an arrow.... with a message on it. She picked up the little message and read it aloud* "And we shall smith the wicked by casting them into the firey pit" *Tani suddenly began to smell something. Something that made her cough. She looked towards her rooms door and saw smoke coming out from the bottom of it* Fire... FIRE!!

*Tani ran to the door to get outside her house but it wouldn't open. She then tried getting out through the windows but they wouldn't budge either. They had been boarded over, with only a small crack to let the arrow through. Tani looked through the hole and screamed* Help me!!! Somebody!! Please!! Hel- *Tani began to cough and she looked away from the hole. She looked back out the hole and saw three masked figures, hand in hand just watching the house go up in flames. There, Tani noticed something about the one in the middle. The fires light illuminated their face and Tani saw a silver eye, causing her to scream.* Benton!! Benton please!! Let me out!! *The three figures turned away and scattered. Tani began to cough more until collapsing onto the floor*

*From the distance, Maddy saw a faint, orange light coming from the city. At first, she just thought it was just someone walking through town with a torch. But then the light began to glow brighter and smoke began to flow from its source. A realization hit Maddy* Fire.... Tani! *Maddy began to run towards the city*

*Maddy heard footsteps outside of her tent and slowly grabbed her sword. She jumped out of the tent and drew her sword but upon seeing (Shadow?) she put her sword away* Hello there.

*It was nighttime now. Dylan rolled around in Gwen's bed to look at her* Well that was- *Dylan looked at Gwen for a moment* I don't know how to explain it. That was beyond words. *Gwen chuckled*

*Maddy heard a wolf cry out from behind her tent, somewhere. She began to have a flashback to some time 6 years prior. In the flashback, Maddy saw Tani sitting on top of Francis's home. Tani was shaking and crying. Maddy put her hands on Tani's shoulders and she flinched* Please, Master, dont hurt me. I just needed some air *Tani looked up at Maddy. Her eyes were red and bloodshot and her left eye was badly bruised and swollen. She tried to smile upon seeing Maddy* Oh, it's you *Maddy sat next to Tani and Tani sat there awkwardly, trying to cover her bruised face. Maddy put her hand on Tani's to stop her and Maddy put her other hand on Tani's face to angle her face into the moon light. The light lit up her face more and Maddy could see how bad the bruise really was and the defeat in her eyes.* You dont have to let him do this to you, Tani. You can just say no *Tani jerked her face away and sarcastically chuckled* There's nothing I can do, he has all power over us. Especially me. He calls me his play thing.

*Maddy looked around and heard a wolf cry. She then came up with something* You know, my father once said that every time a wolf cries, it just means they are trying to let you know they are out there *Tani looked at her and spoke in a slightly stern voice* What does that have to do with anything? *Maddy looked at Tani* A better life is like that wolf. It will always be out there, but occasionally it will call to you to let you know it's still out there *Tani looked around and thought for a moment. Maddy inched her face slightly closer to Tani's but stopped herself and stood up to walk away. Then Tani looked at Maddy* What did you say your name was? *Maddy stopped walking and turned around. She couldn't remember so she just said a random one* Maddy. My names Maddy *The flashback ended and Maddy heard another wolf cry. And it comforted her*

*Dylan shrugged* Well, Gwen, we couldn't. We had a duty to eliminate the last of the Cloaks and find Maddy and we intended on finishing it. However, once the others died, I just started trying to follow the Cloaks to their homeland if they even have one. So, I dont know if there is a large army out there, or how widespread they are if they do have a large army. But one thing I do know, is that the group I was following was on the move for something. And judging by the size of the group I was following, its something big. *Dylan looked at a house in front of them.* Speaking of big, is this place yours?

*Dylan nodded his head* It was interesting out there. Our world, its bigger than you could ever imagine, i even made a map. But, after a while, it got lonely. You see, not long after the Western Rangers left- oh, by the way, that's what we called ourselves but anyways, not long after we left, we ran into some Cloaks. And by some, I mean alot. Like a small fortress full of them. *Dylan pointed to his eye* One of them did this to me, you know. And in addition to blinding me in my eye, they killed most of us. And as time went on, more of us died off until I was the-*Dylan paused upon realizing what he was about to say* the last one left.
