*Maddy heard footsteps outside of her tent and slowly grabbed her sword. She jumped out of the tent and drew her sword but upon seeing (Shadow?) she put her sword away* Hello there.

*It was nighttime now. Dylan rolled around in Gwen's bed to look at her* Well that was- *Dylan looked at Gwen for a moment* I don't know how to explain it. That was beyond words. *Gwen chuckled*

*Maddy heard a wolf cry out from behind her tent, somewhere. She began to have a flashback to some time 6 years prior. In the flashback, Maddy saw Tani sitting on top of Francis's home. Tani was shaking and crying. Maddy put her hands on Tani's shoulders and she flinched* Please, Master, dont hurt me. I just needed some air *Tani looked up at Maddy. Her eyes were red and bloodshot and her left eye was badly bruised and swollen. She tried to smile upon seeing Maddy* Oh, it's you *Maddy sat next to Tani and Tani sat there awkwardly, trying to cover her bruised face. Maddy put her hand on Tani's to stop her and Maddy put her other hand on Tani's face to angle her face into the moon light. The light lit up her face more and Maddy could see how bad the bruise really was and the defeat in her eyes.* You dont have to let him do this to you, Tani. You can just say no *Tani jerked her face away and sarcastically chuckled* There's nothing I can do, he has all power over us. Especially me. He calls me his play thing.

*Maddy looked around and heard a wolf cry. She then came up with something* You know, my father once said that every time a wolf cries, it just means they are trying to let you know they are out there *Tani looked at her and spoke in a slightly stern voice* What does that have to do with anything? *Maddy looked at Tani* A better life is like that wolf. It will always be out there, but occasionally it will call to you to let you know it's still out there *Tani looked around and thought for a moment. Maddy inched her face slightly closer to Tani's but stopped herself and stood up to walk away. Then Tani looked at Maddy* What did you say your name was? *Maddy stopped walking and turned around. She couldn't remember so she just said a random one* Maddy. My names Maddy *The flashback ended and Maddy heard another wolf cry. And it comforted her*

*Dylan shrugged* Well, Gwen, we couldn't. We had a duty to eliminate the last of the Cloaks and find Maddy and we intended on finishing it. However, once the others died, I just started trying to follow the Cloaks to their homeland if they even have one. So, I dont know if there is a large army out there, or how widespread they are if they do have a large army. But one thing I do know, is that the group I was following was on the move for something. And judging by the size of the group I was following, its something big. *Dylan looked at a house in front of them.* Speaking of big, is this place yours?

*Dylan nodded his head* It was interesting out there. Our world, its bigger than you could ever imagine, i even made a map. But, after a while, it got lonely. You see, not long after the Western Rangers left- oh, by the way, that's what we called ourselves but anyways, not long after we left, we ran into some Cloaks. And by some, I mean alot. Like a small fortress full of them. *Dylan pointed to his eye* One of them did this to me, you know. And in addition to blinding me in my eye, they killed most of us. And as time went on, more of us died off until I was the-*Dylan paused upon realizing what he was about to say* the last one left.

*Tani shook her head.* No, I'm good. I just-*Tani sighed* I just- *Tani couldn't finish her sentence. Memories began to flood back to her. She remembered when she first met Maddy. Tani had been abused almost all of her life, but when Tani was with Maddy, she just felt like nothing could hurt her. Could hurt them even. Tani finally found the words she was looking for* Maddy always made me feel invincible, even when I was Francis's- *Tani was hesitant to finish that sentence.* Even when he would- *Tani began to have flashbacks of when she was Francis's slave* He would- *Tani began to cry and was embraced by Blossom who tried to comfort her* I was just so scared that whatever I would do would end with him abusing me in any way he could. But when I met Maddy, and whenever I was with her, I felt safe. Like nothing would ever harm me ever again. But now? Now I'm not sure

*Dylan saw Gwen and slowly began to sneak up behind her. When he reached her, he covered her eyes* Guess wh- *Gwen grabbed Dylan and flipped him over her back onto the ground*

*Maddy heard a familiar voice call her name from behind her. She turned her head and saw Tani standing there, tears streaming from her eyes. Maddy took off her hood and began to cry as well* Hello Tani. *Tani ran to Maddy and the two embraced eachother. Maddy looked into Tani's eyes and kissed Tani on the lips. From behind the two of them, Maddy heard a male voice* And so the traitor returns. *Maddy stopped kissing Tani and turned around to see Benton standing there with a group of guards*

*Maddy heard someone calling Emi's name and followed the call until she saw Blossom. She rode right up to Blossom and made her voice alittle more gruff to hid her identity* Is this children your's?

*Tani raced through the streets, occassionally asking people if they saw a horse ride by. And then she saw it. The horse she was looking for. Its rider spoke in a very gruff, almost forced manner* Is this children yours? *Tani's eyes began to tear up as she slowly began to walk towards the rider.* Maddy?

While she was happy to see the city was no longer in shame like it was 5 years previously, she was scared of what people would think of her for returning after all these years. She turned her head and looked at Emi* Can you take me to your home child?

*Tani ran to the gates and saw Dylan dismounting from his horse. Tani shouted in his general direction* Dylan! *Dylan turned his head and saw Tani running towards him. She jumped into his arms to hug him* Its been too long, Dylan. Why didn't you try and write? Gwen's missed you, even though she wouldn't admit it. *Dylan chuckled* Its difficult to, but Tani, could you let go? I'm struggling to breathe. *Tani realized how hard she was hugging him and let go. She stood in front of him and looked up at his eye* What happened here? *Dylan shrugged* Run in with some Cloaks *Dylan looked around* Where's Gwen? You wouldn't happen to know would you? *Tani shook her head* Last I saw her was earlier today at the council meeting. Did you come back alone? *Dylan shook his head* No *Tani looked confused. She looked around and didnt see another rider* Then, where are they? *Dylan opened his mouth but decided not to tell her exactly. He pointed past Tani's head and Tani followed with her head* They went that way. I'd suggest you go look for them. *Tani have Dylan and puzzled look. But when he nodded, she got excited and began to run in the direction he pointed*
