Fortem swapped directions to head for the school. It hadn't really changed from yesterday; there were still just a few students, and the main hall looked the same too. He looked to see what pokemon he could find.

Audax internally admired how brave Emerald was being, too shy to say it out loud. He at least knew some of the loyalists and where they were, and somewhat how they acted, but the republicans were more of a mystery. It would be dangerous, though. "Stay safe, ok?" Audax asked of him, putting a paw on his shoulder.

Fortem was back on his balcony, trying to get over that scary situation with the escaped republicans. Thankfully, none of them had attacked them when he let them go. He was definetely gonna keep his side of the promise and not tell anyone. Speaking of promises, he needed to find some more recruits... He padded back into the main hall of the castle to listen to and observe pokemon, looking for possible neutrals.

Audax looked to riptide, the greninja. Where would he choose to go?

The ragtag bunch of pokemon made it back to the arena. Thankfully, they hadn't been caught again. Clamor let out a sigh of relief. They'd done it!

"Partners... sure." Audax wondered who might be willing to go with him to spy in the loyalists.

Clamor flicked his tail, leading the republicans to the trampolines. How convenient. He used them to heighten his already high jumps, and landed up on the top of the wall. He looked down expectingly at the others, with another tail flick, as if he were saying "come on up!"

The group of republicans halted at the walls. There were guards at virtually all the exits, and Clamor didn't know what to do... Suddenly, a smaller exit with no guards caught his eye. It was a little further down, and they had to sneak past or knock out a guard or two, but eventually the reached the exit...

Fortem was heading back to his room. The main gate had tons of guards and Fortem didn't really feel like interacting with anyone, so he decided to take the entrance nearer to his room. It would be quicker, anyway. There weren't as many guards, and at the moment, there seemed to be none. As he entered... Fortem shockingly found himself face to face with a horde of pokemon. Recognizing the luxio in front as one from the jail, he concluded that these must be republicans making a jail break of sorts... The group looked about ready to attack him... But making his first big neutral move, Fortme stepped back. "I won't say anything. I saw nothing," He said, turning his head to the side.. Even if the jail was good, Fortem didn't think these republicans deserved to be there.

Clamor looked at the lycanroc skeptically. Was he lying? Was this pokemon a loyalist tricking them, or a republican ally, or just neutral? Either way, Clamor recognised this as the knight who had tried to get them food in the jail. He was already feeling guilty for making all those other knights faint... wow, a day had really changed him. Deciding to show mercy for once, he nodded begrudgingly at the lycanroc and walked past him. If one of the other republicans decided to attack him, he wouldn't stop them, but he told himself he was doing this as to not add to his own guilt. Hopefully the knight kept his word.

That was reasonable, seeing as Yung was well known. "The school of magic guards already think I'm loyalist," Audax put forward. "I can help there. Well, I'm actually pretty free to do whatever you need." Audax volunteered.

"Perhaps," Fortem smiled at the mages. "Thank you, I'll keep you updated if I find anyone or anything important," He promised.

Audax smiled at Remus's antics, then turned to face the lucario. "I think Fortem is a neutral spy for us in the loyalists, and so is my teacher, Thea, and some of the other mages!" He commented. "Thats a good plan, Yung."

Evidently, the guards hadn't expected an escape, as there weren't many here at the moment. Clamor gave one facing the other way a thump on the back of his head with his paw, knocking him out. He honestly began to felt pretty guilty... that was one of them discussing how to keep the republicans here comfortable. It had to be done though... right? He carried on, breaking locks, and having those pokemon continue breaking locks and silencing guards, as loyalists were apparently talking about in some strategy room nearby. They had to keep quiet.

"I'll do my best to find and recruit more pokemon," Fortem promised.

"Hmm?" Audax followed the other neutral pokemon as they gathered around Yung, listening intently. It was clear that Yung was a very respected pokemon.

Clamor's eyes widened. This was perfect! Slowly, Clamor opened the door, so it wouldn't creak. He snuck over to the Fraxure, opening his door too. He silently pointed at the lock, and the other cages. Hopefully he got the message: Open as many cages as they could before fighting and running away. Maybe they could start an invasion of the castle itself too! His mind was buzzing with ideas as he began to break locks. It wouldn't be long until he was noticed, but by then, there should be other republicans helping too.

Fortem nodded. "I want to help stop this war, but I definitely can't do it alone. I know some more neutral pokemon... but I don't know if it's enough." He wouldn't say that they went down to the surface just yet. He didn't trust these pokemon fully either, though they seemed more skeptical of him than he was of them.

"It's a bubble," Audax explained. "Yung and Emerald and some other pokemon are really good at making them, and Remus makes balloons, which are similar. They're fun to play with, and you can also use them as beds or trampolines, or massage chairs!" As he spoke, he wondered if he could somehow turn his own protect attack or dark magic into some sort of balloon too.

Clamor pondered this for a minute, then realized his tail was longer and more flexible than his limbs. He was able to pull the lock back through the bars using his tail. The fraxure probably had some better moves and strategies for breaking locks, but Clamor could probably try using crunch... That move might break it. He nodded, determined, towards the fraxure, and, taking a deep breath, used Crunch as hard as he could into the lock. The guards might be alerted by the noise, so he'd have to be quick.

Fortem nodded at the trio. Their gaze felt pricky on his pelt. He hadn't done anything like this before, let along do it unexpectedly and in the middle of a civil war... "What am I here for?"

Audax nodded at Emerald. Hopefully they'd come up with a good plan. From the bubble, he spoke to Lumi, who was nearby. "So, how are you liking the world outside the castle?" He asked, cheerfully for once.

Clamor sighed. This must be some sort of ploy... right? Maybe so they could keep them here longer under the false impression that the knights actually cared... maybe they really did care though, but Clamor didn't want to belive that.

Fortem nervously padded up to the three. Not only were these three important, respected pokemon, but they were very powerful too. He dipped his head respectfully at them, and waited for them to speak.

"Do you know what we're doing today?" Audax asked Emerald eventually, a little anxious about Luminia of course.

Ah, a berry juice. Clamor begrudgingly supposed that it wasn't half bad. Even as he sipped it, he kept his eyes on the guards and the other pokemon, being as observant as he could. Every little bit could help him escape.

Fortem quickly read the note. He supposed his shift would have to end early... who could this be from? His first thought was Yung, but they had left yesterday... perhaps Ryn was getting back to him from yesterday? More hopeful, he left his station and headed towards the stage.

Audax hugged Emerald, but kept his ears high and unfolded to overhear what Yung and Remus were discussing. He wanted to learn more about what was going on.

Clamor watched the young knight leave as he munched his breakfast. It definitely wasn't the best breakfast, but who was he to be judging, trapped in a cell? Perhaps he'd have another go at escaping today. Breakfast had made him more positive, that's for sure.

As Fortem heard growling, he first assumed the republicans were just really mad. After a while, though, he realised they were probably starving... they'd all been in battle yesterday, and he didn't think the guards had given them food yet... Mustering up his courage, he padded up to one of the higher up knights at the jail. "Excuse me... I don't think the prisoners have had food for the past day... shouldn't they, you know, eat?" He asked, awkwardly.

Clamor's ears perked up at the conversation. Not many knights actually talked that much while guarding, for some unspecified reason, and this seemed like a lower up one approaching a higher ranked knight about something concerning him... At least he might get a snack soon, hopefully... though knowing loyalists, they would probably just leave them to starve. He supposed it was nice of this knight to ask about it though... No, all knights were bad, he corrected himself, but the argument started getting weaker.

As Fortem padded across the outside walkways of the castle, he saw the battle raging below, and wished he would be able to help them. However, if he didn't go for his shift as a jail guard, he'd probably be questioned about it... and he wasn't willing to give away the fact that he was neutral to everyone until later. He realized that he and Audax were similar: neutrals pretending to be loyalists. He marched into the holding cell area, his fur pricking with the gazes of angry republicans, and he looked at them, worried.

"Oh!" Audax was woken up by Emerald, and he fell off his bubble, thankfully without harm. "Morning," He laughed, almost forgetting his surroundings. He wondered when they would be heading back up to luminia, and what might have happened last night.

Clamor awoke, finding himself, unsurprisingly, still in his cell. New pokemon seemed to be guarding today: a machop, a staravia, a few other pokemon, and a lycanroc just outside his cell. He glared at them, firm in his belief that knights were more trouble than they were worth. He felt his belly growl from hunger, and realized he hadn't eaten since two days ago.

Sighing, Fortem went to bed. He hadn't heard much, just knight patrols and duties... and apparently, he would have to spend tommorow morning guarding the republican cells. He supposed that wasn't the worst thing, maybe he could learn something, and help some pokemon. He climbed onto his bed, and fell asleep easily from the day's chaos.

Audax nodded, before flopping onto one of the cozy beds. "G'night!" Audax told the others with a smile, beginning to feel optimistic. Then, he eventually drifted away to the sound of the night breeze and rustling leaves.

Clamor sighed. It was beginning to get late. He gave a friendly wave to the fraxure, sorry that he wasn't able to escape this time... maybe tommorow. Then, he curled up on the small, uncomfortable bed they'd placed in his cell, and eventually, fell asleep.

Fortem watched the group walk through the portal before trekking home all alone. This was it... He padded into the castle and went to his room, then pressed his ear against the wall to listen for news being discussed in the main room. If he wasn't going with the other neutral pokemon, he might as well make himself useful in some way by gathering info.

"That's cool that you brought a bubble!" Audax commented, lightly poking it. "Thanks, Emerald!" After being momentarily distracted by the bubble, Audax took a good look at his surroundings... It seemed to be a big forest. The only types of forests he'd seen were the small ones in Slepnir, the rainforest in Rioverde and the ones he'd read about in books, so this was definitely an experience.

This was it. Now or never. Clamor stretched as far as he could, trying to use thunderwave to break the lock... The other pokemon in the jail were depending on him! But... the thunderwave wasn't enough, and the force sent the lock back through the bars, even farther than last time... Clamor sighed, disheartened.

Fortem joined Yung and Remus, creating a stone edge wall to let the neutral pokemon pass. He was wearing his cloak so no knight recognised him, hopefully.

Audax leaned back on Emerald as they headed towards the stage.

Really stretching, Clamor reached his claw into the lock. He'd learned to pick one for fun back when he was younger... could he remember without being caught?

Fortem watched the scene. The neutrals were beginning to move out. Fortem mentally wished them well, before realising he could do something to help too. The pokemon there would probably run into some trouble, and it was the least that Fortem could do to drive them off. Hopping energetically out of his room, he scampered towards the area.

Audax nodded as they began to move. He admired Yung; he was smart and strategic, and made good plans quickly, like Audax hoped to be able to do someday.

Clamor tilted his head, thinking. His limbs were longer than the fraxure's... When the knights weren't looking in their direction, he quickly stretched out his paw and tried to grab the lock and pull it back in.

That was a lot to ask of a ragtag bunch of citizens so suddenly, but it was what everyone wanted, and they could probably do it, even if it would take a lot of effort. "Are we going then?" He looked at Yung to confirm.

Clamor shook his head, but tapped it after. He was thinking... Clamor pointed at the fraxure's tusks. Perhaps they could be useful in breaking something, or prying something open? He could also try picking a lock with his claws.

Fortem watched the city from his balcony. Aside from the big battle happening at the plaza, there seemed to be a crowd gathering near the border of the anthian district and the suburbs... hey, wasn't that where Hiro's bubble emporium was? Maybe the other neutral pokemon were preparing to leave.

Audax debated asking whether it was a smart idea to trust them or if the castle really wasn't that safe, but they had bigger matters to worry about. "What do you want us to do?"

Clamor would have laughed. Instead he shook his head, gesturing at his neck. It wasn't a very clear sign, but oh well.

Audax did think that some of Lumi's mannerisms were strange, but that probably all came from living sheltered in the castle her whole life. He nodded. Hopefully she could adjust quickly, so this whole nightmare could end faster.

Clamor padded towards the divider, and tapped it with his paw. Not loud enough to be annoying, but loud enough to hear. Maybe they could chat or maybe find a way out? Probably not the latter, but hey, they had to start.

Audax supposed magic alone, even if it was strong, probably wouldn't be able to calm everyone down for any long lasting period of time. So even if it was weak... "You shouldn't blame yourself," He told the snowstar priestess. "This isn't your fault."

"Thats fair," Fortem said. "Thanks for hearing me out." Dipping his head respectfully, he padded out of the school and back into the castle.
