Title: January 20th, 2021

Late post as this is on the very border of the server reset but going to try and make this quick: I'm slowly going off of hiatus, but I wouldn't expect much activity here. Most, if not all, activity is placed on other places like Pokefarm Q and Pixpet (both using same username) as well as offline means. Again, most of it is due to the fact that I really need to simmer down a bit and get sorted out what exactly I would like to do.

Title: January 11th, 2021

Happy (late) New Year as I'm writing the first entry of 2021 - and will probably be the only one for a while. After a lot of not quite as rare activity here, I finally decided that now is the time to go to "hiatus" here. As of now, most of my activity if any is still pretty common around PFQ with the Type Races ongoing and recently trying to learn Pixpet as well. I will take the other Lucario I've been using to breed Riolu eggs with out of the daycare and that hunt will be put on hold. As long as I don't somehow pick up new eggs, I should be okay with the radar chain not breaking.
Any incoming plushies that are sent to me will more than likely be returned if they are still found on my notification tab. Otherwise, I apologize for those that send me one and get nothing back... I'll be putting this as my status for folks to see as well as possibly turn off Pal Pad and PMs for anyone outside of friends list. My Tumblr blog has also gotten the hiatus status as well while PokeFarm Q won't be getting it due to the lack of other activities that require constant checking (berries there take about a couple of hours before they need water).

Title: December 26th

Merry (late) Christmas folks, and sorry for skipping on yesterday as promised but things were busy then... Of course the internet at home is still as colorful in character as always but it wasn't willing to play nice closer to the evening hours. Regardless it eventually worked until bed at almost 5 in the morning local time... While I didn't get much for gifts, I was able to get an adorable wolf blanket and it was oh so heartwarming to where it was all that mattered. That, and chocolate cherries that I ate the entire box of! Hahaha....
But enough personal talk, now onto the hiatus business. The way this'll work is that I won't be able to send back interactions for folks that help warm eggs up... In that case, those folks are free to PM/PalPad me and I'll make sure to give you a big helping of thanks when I return back to regular schedule. I will still try to do the Riolu hunt as much as I can, even if it ends up with some of those Riolu eggs going into the wild (much to my dismay...) but sometimes I need to be willing to make sacrifices at times.

Title: Thurs. December 24th, 2020

Considering that the time for me locally is now on the same day as that of PH's, Merry Christmas eve to those that celebrate (not just for those in the US as you can tell). As always, first form of business is that I'm still planning on taking hiatus - but this will be more than likely a soft hiatus (I'll elaborate on that in the following entry tomorrow). I do accept any questions folks want to ask - PM only please - but will mostly answer some of what might be roaming around other people's minds about the hiatus.
As far as PH goes, I was able to receive a gift from the Christmas Gifts - granted its only one and right after sending them one... Honestly, I shouldn't be too surprised considering how still fairly young my account is here and haven't done much in terms of getting to know folks aside from journal entries and the spare posts here and there on the main forums. On a side note, Tumblr has been having issues with their spam filters terminating false positive accounts. Granted, there are still some nasty bots there (both NSFW and the regular ghost blogs). I ended up getting a secondary blog all set up and after the painful battle with both the internet here at home and the phone I use, I got it to where it's less of a bot blog and more of an inactive blog. My main one (aka: the one sharing the same username as this account and the URL posted on contacts) will still be in use but I'll refrain from posting art there until Tumblr figures out what broke their spam detection AI.
Been getting better at sharing my art to a more public crowd but really haven't shown the persona until at least now. Granted, I do believe the forums are locked to only those signed in as a user - but regardless, it's not a big deal considering that he was also shown in a high school club's comic book they compile every year. Admitting this now, I still struggle with sharing him because social anxiety can be the worst bully. Even then, I would still stick to sharing him with FB buds despite the controversy involving their stance on user privacy.
On another note, I've started my Riolu Hunt! Yes, I finally got a hold of the PokeRadar and managed to get my first fresh battery for it (using Electric Gems, since it was cheaper that way). I had to save a bit of PD for the egg storage to put aside the Darkai egg so that I don't already start off with a little boo-boo... Regardless though, I'll try to wrap this up by saying - expect one last avatar change before I go on soft hiatus.

Title: Late Sun. December 13th into Mon. December 14th

Because it has come to my attention through a PalPad message that my activity has been down over the past few days/weeks, I think it's time for a bit of an update to why that is. Aside from the rather finicky activity that has occurred in the form of the PP incident (no further comment other than I take full responsibility of how that was badly handled on my part), most of which is due to the activities taking place in my personal life. Along with the tasks given to us through the Advent Calendar that might of caused some negative thoughts to rumble in my head (still processing it), I've been a little bit negative towards the holiday season in general.
While I'm going to take a bit of a minor hiatus (aside from the stealthy comings & goings), I will refrain from interacting unless specified by Adv.Calendar task as ironic as it sounds. Most of my online activity will be more along the lines of my Tumblr blog as well as PokeFarm Q and PKMN Eclipse (which does indeed have a friend function on the left sidebar as I found out recently). All three sites I'm a part of use the same username as here so you can always get into contact with me there.
Because I'll probably forget to mention this later on, the poll on preferred device when playing PH will remain up until I return - which might be sometime in January (mid to late as an estimate).
Maybe as a way of saying in a passive form - I'll probably update the avatar from my current Lucky Star Christmas themed picture to a more typical of me pic. I will also post an update to folks saying that I would be on Hiatus when they stumble upon my profile as well. The full hiatus status will take effect after I finish off both the Advent Calendar and my log-in streak with the nuggets at the end.
At the beginning of the following year, activity is going to more than likely stay the same as it is now: sparingly on. At that point, I would like to try and get some self-improvement in for myself and get a job in real life as I keep promising myself. Again, activity then will more than likely be allocated/used towards my Tumblr blog more than likely than the other PKMN fansites.
Like almost everybody else, 2020 has been a bit of a stress-inducer & while 2021 might bring on better days - I can't really put much faith when it comes to improving my own self as much as I can. Internet has been shaky on the PC/laptop for a while now as it will sometimes play nice until it disconnects it from the network and won't let me back on until I try to manually force it to accept the PC back on or do a restart of the machine. In that case, the mobile phone has been the best bet in that scenario.
As always, I'll be on PokeFarm Q and PKMN Eclipse under the same username, so feel free to look me up there and send a friendly wave. I do have the links for those on my profile. Tumblr is my usual go to as well and always open for messages. I will leave a link to this specific post of the journal for folks that find the profile and see that I'm not returning interactions or messages for a good reason. I hope that folks that read this have a wonder holidays, a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, and a wonderful New Year.
Hello, this is the post-edit JW here! I am just tacking this little comment down here to say that the only edit I've done to this is just crossing out the part about going stealth aside from the Advent Calendar events/tasks. That will not be the case while I'm away. I have decided to continue the AC events and up to the point where my daily streak is cleared with the reward of gold nuggets waiting for me. I'll try to make one last journal post prior to me going hiatus. I'll also post that somewhere on the profile to signal folks that I'm away.

Title: Later into the same Day - Mon. Nov. 30

Even though the site has rolled over to the first of December, it's still November here and I'll start off by saying - I'll cut the polling stuff out. Not because it's a bit difficult but when it seems like people use that to just have their little "lol" moment and try and anonymously troll (not making the assumption, but it seems to come off that way), I won't take that fluff as easily. I can understand that my humor can be a bit farfetched and silly - but at the same time, no need to get a bit rude about it even when the answer for that is there. I asked for that of course, but needless to say - that doesn't mean take the opportunity while it's on the table. :/
I think the real one that gets under my skin is the next one: When asked if it was too fast for me to share art, I had possibly the same anon answer with "Too much too soon". Anon - are you hurt in the head? Is there something that is getting under your skin to where even with the small tidbits of art I'm sharing here through my personal Tumblr just a bit too much? I'm not sure what the issue is with the question considering that I'm coming from a standpoint of where I used to be in a tight spot of NEVER sharing my art online anywhere aside from the personal Facebook page - and that in itself is a bit on the edge with the privacy issues that have been hitting the site as of recently. I'd really like to talk with you if you manage to read this and see your viewpoint on this. I'm not at all angry (even a little), just a bit dazed and confused at why you picked that answer. If it's for kicks and trying to rattle me up, mission failed buddy. I can understand that a lot of anxious folks would handle the change in their self confidence and I would be straight up lying if I had said that the altercation in my social openess with my art hasn't had its drawbacks. I do recall having some issues with getting to sleep at times and still having little anxious ticks now and again.
To the other anon that selected "Not Exactly", thank you and sorry you had to read through that yacking of mine. Regardless, I think the question overall was just - not a good poll question.
Poll #2 was probably dependent on each person and not exactly me in general. I think that was something I probably failed to account for when setting that one up. Poll #3 will remain up and stay up until at least Christmas Server time on PH. That one will be at least a more interesting one and a generalized question that would hopefully yield a bit more general audience-based results...

This one is going to probably be a short and sweet one. Glad to see Pokemon Go is finally putting in the Kalosian Pokemon - granted, it's only Espurr for now but it's a start. Got one from a raid I did solo (because I highly doubt folks would want to do a raid for a common psycho cat) and honestly, screw everyone in my town for that. Most of it is particularly due to how late I was getting into the game (been playing since Mid February of this year) but still doesn't seem like a valid excuse to make a person feel bad about themselves for being behind and acting like the weakest link.
Aside from that, first legendary from a non-quest reward was probably Lugia. Yes, Regirock doesn't really count for me as that could be easily obtainable through Royal Tunnel's Beginner's Path.
(EDITED on December 16th @2:50:30 am) - Finally found out what was causing the issue with Lugia not popping up: Been using the wrong code format!

Title: Tues. November 24

Apologies for taking a good while to getting around to making the next entry... As you know, life can be a bit of a handful - especially when part of that is making a huge change to how you function in a social environment (offline or online) as my case would be. Still trying to figure out how to lay these posts out but I'd figured to just wing it out as we go. Since I've been needing to showcase the poll results, I'd say we start with those.
Poll Results:
To start off the section, I had asked folks if they'd be okay with me showcasing the results here on my journal. Out of 5 votes, folks have said that it was alright with 1 wanting them as just status updates. Not sure if they realized that the results are made anonymously but sorry anon. Not only that, but considering how many folks are uncomfortable with having their notifications go crazy because I've been posting updates in the form of poll results. I do understand that yes, I've been a bit unpredictable with the amount of updates I post so close together, but I do apologize when that case does occur.
The second closed poll yield some interesting results: While 1 vote went for Pikachu and Squirtle, both Charmander and Eevee got two. To be honest, I was anticipating a bit more towards Pikachu but because of Let's Go for the Switch - Eevee had to be added and well, I admit that I can be scattered brained about national dex numbers for Pokemon... I didn't know the dex number for Eevee. Whoops!
Now aside from the changes in how I'm interacting with folks IRL, my activity here has indeed gone down. Not that I'm opposed to continue playing as it's completely the opposite of that! I would be bluffing if I had said that I didn't enjoy that little excuse to pull the phone out and keep the hands busy with something other than doodling a little sketch. Journals might or might not be scarce from that change but I promise you I'd still take the time to try and come on the site - mobile or PC. Speaking of which, why not showcase two of my firsts that have happened today/yesterday?
First and foremost, I was able to Gigantamax my first Pokemon. Of course, I picked Pikachu to be that first since I've had deep ties with Pokemon Yellow Version. Not only that but because it would take a little less time and crystals to have it under go the process. Now with that in mind, I might have to look into doing the same for Butterfree since I do have one in my boxes somewhere...
Now the second one was a first that came as a bit of a surprise. I got my first Pokemon that was capable of Mega Evolution. Shockingly, that one is in fact - a Shinx/Luxray! I wasn't too picky about what one I would've loved to see as my first so having one that is not canonical in the franchise (a la fanmade, and a well designed one at that from the looks of it from other users) was a very interesting one indeed.

Granted, one of my favorite Pokemon fits two of the three and my grass lady from the signature is my favorite of the grass types along with Vileplume.

Title: Friday, November 20th

To start this one off, apologizes for missing the previous day even though I had said I wouldn't miss it... I admit things had gotten busy personally but I hope to cover that bit of ground here.
I've been slowly getting into trying berry gardening here again. But on the side, also been trying to battle my social anxiety. Long story short: I come from a family that has been cursed with every single mental instability in the medical books - but not technically every one... Ugh, just ruined the joke there.
If anyone has had the chance to pop onto Tumblr, I've been slowly emerging from the well acquainted shell of mine - and been loathing for a while now. Although that's not to say that I've started over here with PokeHeroes despite a little less than most of the clicks to the Diary thread of mine is partially me just dropping in to make another entry. Regardless, I've been needing to get myself a starting point of being a little more sociable. Boundaries have been a bit too plentiful but have been keeping track of those.
Managed to get the "Pokemon-ized self" box up and running on the profile. The sprite I admit is hosted on Tumblr. Both the Mystery Dungeon Portrait and edited Platinum sprite of Riolu are there - but only the later is used. Maybe I might have an excuse to use the other one. Maybe a bit of Roleplay or something... Don't take my word on that!

Between talking on the phone or chatting online, I would go with the latter on this. Not just because I prefer texting over phone calls (which is why phone calls give me anxiety...) but as someone that has Discord and while some folks are fine with video chatting, I get antsy at the idea of having other folks hear my voice... But even with the chatting online thing, I just cannot fathom the idea of talking to complete strangers - unless there's a common interest we share. And even then, I'm still an awkward little kiwi... Don't get me wrong, you put me in front of a computer and I'll type my heart out like a speed demon. Phones - I can try but sometimes the keyboard is a bit less smart than the phone itself. And sometimes, I do find someone I really want to know better, but goodness knows my brain is full of buzzing butterflies on high sugar mode.

Title: Wed. November 18th

Figured since all I've been doing is just watching TV while doing berry gardening, probably should get the next entry posted as the day rolls over in-game. At this point, I've gotten used to most of the game mechanics and ropes. Still fickle with the forums it seems... Not well known but can't really say much. Hopefully at the start of December, I'll post the poll results here. Regardless, I might just end up posting the avatar of the edited Riolu sprite to somewhere like my Onedrive on Outlook (on public settings) or to make it easier - my Tumblr blog.
That is still on the table and will be placed at the backburner for a while. Otherwise, not much to add on that front

Going to the PH-related things: Got at least a set finished and one nearly finished. With a bit of some help from the wiki, I've been just sending out critters on the Rumble missions. Also so I can unlock the methods of evolution for later Eevee and the current Chargabug and Magneton. Managed to get enough coins at the game center for a Dratini egg, and back to saving more for another badge.
Following up on a previous status update on the digital art program - it's a bit confusing to work with... It was made from the folks that run Pixiv (a DeviantArt site I prefer many times over dA) and a bit in beta.
I use a PC that is bare minimum specifications, which for someone like me that does a lot more researching and a bit of basic digital art and story writing - it's just enough to satisfy my needs. Granted, I would like to build a PC of my own centered for gaming (using Steam lately, but can't add folks there yet since I've yet to spend a dime there). On the bright side, at least the tablet is getting a bit of a workout. Ever since the USB mouse battery gave up the ghost, I had to rely on the tablet (Wacom Intuos Draw, older model) and for most of the tasks - it gets them done. All except for a game on Steam, but again - most of my Steam games are shockingly, Idle games.

Title: Friday, November 13th

Again, doing this on the PC - just like most of the future entries. I'll make sure to signify whether or not one is coming from the mobile or PC.

Most of why activity has somewhat declined is just to slow down a bit. I do try to restrict clicking and returning clicks to folks via mobile as it feels easier on my fingers (oddly enough). Nothing against the USB mouse I have (Logitech brand for those wondering, really nice), but the clicking noise does get a bit irritating. Maybe I feel like the mobile phone tapping is more natural to me and puts less strain on the thumb? I dunno, I'm sadly not a chiropractor and have no knowledge in that field...

Most of my time offline is spent on trying to keep thinking of ways to break out of my comfort zone. I've shared the link to my personal (and only) Tumblr blog and there I've been doing reblogs with some occasional original text/content... I've been thinking about sharing some of my artwork there - mostly just the small doodles for my pen pals since those have departed from Area 52 that is my own home... The thing that's been stopping me: fear of art theft - and the constant fear of attracting the wrong crowd. To elaborate on that last point, Tumblr had been rather notorius for some rather NSFW bots roaming around posting nasty links and just - things I don't believe a youngster should ever have to be subjected to...

I guess most of it is just fear while that part of me is struggling to cope with the pandemic in the form of long-term absence of seeing other folks outside of immediate family.
