Illusionist carefully landed, placing the trays down, just as he heard the sound of heavy rain hitting the roof of the building. "Are you okay?" He whispered, sliding Halu's food closer to him. "Should we go back to the library or something? Maybe the dorms? Something seems to be up." Illusionist's mischievous noted voice seemed to have swapped to concern, now, as he could only guess what had caused the sudden storm. Something was making his friend anxious, and he doubted standing in the middle of the hallway was going to help much. He noted Halu's panting, no way that short dash had left him so burnt out. This was strange, not something Illusionist had been prepared to deal with, but he was here now.

Illusionist had taken notice of Halu rushing out, an anxious look on his face. He tilted his head, wondering what had caused his new friend to run out like that, so distressed, even leaving his unfinished tray of food behind. He decided to check on him, whatever had caused that must not be good for his mental health. Grabbing his tray with one arm, careful not to spill the remaining bugs, he swiftly grabbed Halu's tray as well and chased after him, flying this time to leave free use of his forearms.

The hallway seemed to be a lot less chaotic when he stepped out. the noise of the cave fading almost instantly. He supposed this was why the phrase "This is a library, not the school cafeteria!" was coined in the first place, though he could still very clearly hear the loud conversations of his fellow students. He could see Halu's sleek tail vanishing around a corner, and followed him. He thought he heard a faint crackle somewhere overhead, but ignored it for now.

"Halu?" Illusionist called gently, his physique allowing him swift movements through the air. He tried to ignore the smell of the uneaten seafood rising from the tray in his arms, focusing on the serpentine.

Illusionist nodded, heading to the table on his own, setting the tray down and waiting. He debated getting out his toys for a few tricks, but decided against it. Perhaps he'd just focus on making friends for now, before attempting to blow any minds. He stabbed a spider with a claw like a fork, and bit it off. The legs hanging from his mouth seeming to gross out nearby arachnophobes. With a long, pink tongue, he swiped up the rest into his mouth. That particular spider seemed to be a new species. I gave him...earthy vibes, as if that had been the territory it had originated from. Fascinating. He wondered if he could guess the origin of the other insects on his plate by merely taste. He certainly had a large variety. He began to make a game out of it, picking up another spider and trying it. Hmm, maybe...light this time? Yeah, light. It gave him the vibrant, flavorful vibes that came from light imbued regions of the world.

Itsu set aside some of the meat and squashed it up for her foxes, feeding them each individually as to prevent any fighting, which tended to happen around feeding time. Itsu was a very stern dragon when it came to feeding her companions, and the newbies soon learned: Her food was her food. Any attempts to steal it would earn a swift retaliation. Kitsune dragons and foxes may be friends, but a good tamer knew how to set boundaries.

After she had fed her foxes, she set to feeding herself. Itsu was a very fast eater. The best way to avoid being stolen from, of course, was to not give anyone enough time to steal from you. This didn't just work against foxes, but annoying siblings as well, as sometimes the first one done would try to take from anyone who hadn't finished. Itsu had grown strong from not only fighting wolves, but racing her siblings. Apparently outsiders considered wolfing(pun intended) down your food to be disgusting and rude, but Itsu never understood the problem. It was just nature, right? Her tray was licked absolutely clean within moments, no trace, not a scent or a crumb, left when she was done. Eclipse of course decided to check and make sure, and even without Itsu's tail nudging her away, she could see that there was nothing for her.

Illusionist saw a couple other dragons at the insect table, and followed them. His natural diet consisted soley of bugs. He'd heard there were dragons that had an irrational fear of them. He didn't understand. How could something so "disgusting" be also so delicious, especially when cooked and decorated with cactus sauce? Hopefully Halu wouldn't be too grossed out. It would be shame if this dragon had a fear of bugs too, even though they were all dead.

Grabbing a tray, he filled it with a variety of spiders, butterflies, and roaches, as well as other things. "Oh? What's this one? Never tried it before...Oh! That's an oddly colored bee." Soon his plate was filled with a salad of bugs...minus the plants.

Itsu didn't take too much time deciding on her food. She found some caribou meat, one of her favorites, it reminded her of home. Occasionally when they'd eat wolves, they'd find a herd of their prey nearby, and bring back both the hunter and its quarry. Usually the caribou would be covered in snow and stored for later, but Itsu remembered the satisfaction of ripping through their thick hide with her claws, and munching into the bulky meat underneath. It tasted different from wolf meat, and that had fascinated her. She took her tray and went with her classic strategy of sitting as far away from everyone as possible.

Illusionist was already packing up his things, dropping them neatly into his neck pouch. "Sure thing!" He agreed, feeling rather hungry now that dinner had come up. He slid off the chair and began to pull out his map again, scanning it until he found the location of the cafeteria. "Doesn't appear too far off." He noted, taking a step or two towards its location. "It appears to be too our left." He pointed with a claw, and made his way out of the library.

Itsu paused from her wandering at the sound of the announcement. She happened to already be near the cafeteria, so she simply made her way inside, her foxes eagerly in tow, as if they knew what lie in that massive room. Itsu, much like her vulpine companions, was omnivorious, though she prefered meat to all others. She was sure to set aside enough food for the foxes as well, if they weren't fed, they might eat something she didn't want them to.

"Hmm?" Illusionist glanced over upon hearing a voice calling his name, and saw a familiar slithery dragon approaching him. He smiled at Halu as he approached. "Hi there! I was just coming here to see if I could meet some people. Didn't expect so many to show up, though!" He tried to keep his voice low, as to not irritate the other dragons. At this point he had pulled some cards out of his bag, and spread them across the table. Now how to best attract an audience? Perhaps Halu could be his first. Perfect timing. "Say, how familiar are you with...illusions?" He grinned. This was one of his favorites

Illusionist would arrive a minute or two after Frost, his ears twitching from the noise coming from a dragon supposed to be in the library. Though he supposed anyone racing to this of all places probably wasn't the most quiet dragon. He made his way over to one of the tables, watching the ice dragon and the larger, electric dragon that had followed her. With all that electricity, Illusionist was surprised she hadn't been knocked out of the sky. Settling into one of the chairs, he began to slowly open his sack, his ears wary of all that was going on around him.

Illusionist attached a little sack around his neck when he was done, shoving a cloth, some balls, and a stack of cards into it. He took a look at his map, wondering where most of the students would be at this time, apart from their dorms, that was. Tracing the map with a finger, he stopped on the library. This was a school, and surely some morons would be there studying on the first day...or, not really a first day, more like an introduction day, but still. Perhaps he could meet some fellow dragons to victimize make friends with. It seemed no one else was in the dorm anyway.

Making his way out into the hall, he made mental note of the signs on the walls, and the ceilings, marking which places he could recognize should he ever walk these halls without a map. Along the path to the library, Illusionist caught sight of an icy blue blur dashing toward the library, a trail of mist in her path. Stopping briefly, he shivered in the icy air left by the creature, before continuing on his journey. Hopefully none of them would accidentally touch him with those powers. He kept a slow pace, the other dragon would probably reach the library before he did.

Itsu waved goodbye and watched the dragon go on her way, probably to study or something. Itsu had no interest in studying when not obligated, so she simply opened the door to the dorm. She hadn't seen the darker dragon from before come back yet, so she assumed she had gone off to do something else as well. She didn't know if she had any other roommates, she hadn't seen them. Apart from the foxes, of course, speaking of which, Eclipse and Vix decided to let themselves out upon the door opening, and Itsu hesitated in the doorway. She had nothing else to unpack, so what would be the point of gong back inside? To browse online? Meh. Itsu had heard something at the ceremony about a crystal chamber. If this school was special enough to house such an important artifact, there must be more to it than met the eye, and with her foxes by her side, her curious nature took over. Turning around, she began to walk in a random direction, with the intent to get a feel for the place.

The halls were almost seemingly empty by now, she supposed most of the students would have found something to do, or were busy acquainting themselves with their roommates. Perhaps there were a few students off to explore the vast halls of the school, but they seemed few and far between, and Itsu was fine with that for now, at least. Again, kitsune dragon, hehe.

"Well, the name's Itsu. And yeah, that sounds pretty rude. You'd think they'd at least just dim their side of the room, but not everyone wants to study right now I guess. Most of us are just trying to get settled. I suppose you've already unpacked?" She studied the other dragon, warily noting what she had said about her mood affecting her powers, anger would probably not do anything good. She glanced back at the dorm she'd come from. Whoever stayed with her might be in for a bad time when she woke up, but that wasn't Itsu's concern, perhaps she wouldn't end up with any...rude roommates.

Itsu was walking speedily out of the great hall as always. Domino had swiftly jumped onto her back and did a sort of fox version of a cat loaf, him being a canine he couldn't fully manage it, but it was cute nonetheless. She was starting to like her little backpack fox. Vix had always settled for riding her luggage, if she had any, or simply weaving underfoot while Itsu was walking. It was annoying, but the dragon tolerated it for love of the animal.

She made her way back to the Rose Quartz dorms, perhaps she'd get to properly meet her roommates this time. Her stuff was pretty much unpacked by now, as she hadn't brought much. She was stopped in her tracks by the sound of a large dragon storming out of a female dorm nearby, and turned to see the hybrid from the ceremony storming out, as if irritated by something Itsu lacked the context to know about. "Oh hey...!" Itsu greeted the dragon, or started to, before cutting off realizing she'd never actually properly been introduced to her. "What was your name again? I don't think you properly said." Domino perked up at the strong energy radiating from the crackly dragon, and stayed embedded in the Kitsune dragon's fur.

Upon the ceremony coming to a close, Illusionist gave a quick goodbye to Halu, expressing he hoped to run into the shiny storm dragon again, and headed off to the dorms, carefully, so he wouldn't be trampled by the rush of students in a rather unreasonable hurry to get to their dorms. Maybe now he'd get to meet the dragons he'd be staying with. The dragons that would be his friends for the year. They had to be, as they'd be forced to deal with each other until graduation day.

The black dragon made his way to the Diamond dorm, where he'd left his luggage, hoping to get a chance to actually unpack this time, before being pulled off to another ceremony or whatever. He clicked his keycard and swiped his luggage up from where he'd been forced to leave it near the door. Sniffing the air, he found a bed that appeared to be unclaimed, and busied himself emptying out his things, neatly putting them away in the dresser nearby the bed. His clothing, his toys, his cards, family photos he'd been forced to take, and the little tablet that he'd use to give his family updates. A bit cheesy of his parents, if you asked him, but he could play games on it, so he wasn't complaining.

"Illusionist." The little black dragon answered eagerly. An odd name for sure, very litteral, once one got to know him. As the other dragon--Halu--uncoiled his snakelike body, Illusionist admired his pretty scales. They'd looked sleek and sparkly to him even at a distance, but now Illusionist could see the vast array of cool, dark colors that decorated his scales. Illusionist could faintly hear Halu at his normal volume, on account of using his fins and frills to create a sort of cone around his upward facing ears, trapping sound, buf he appreciated the other dragon accomidating him.

Sitting back in the seat he had helped himself to, Illusionist only regretted he had left all his toys at the dorm. He still hadn't properly met his dormmate or mates when the meeting was called, so he had little to share, but he hated awkward silence, so he continued. "Those are some nice eyes you have. It looks almost as if a storm is coming from them. A sparkly storm. It's cool." He commented on the particles coming from the snake dragon's eyes, glowing with an almost mystical vibe to them. Perhaps some would turn away at the sight of them, but Illusionist was known for being fearless, or perhaps crazy, as was his nature.

Itsu eyed the sparks warily as the crackly dragon took out a book to show her, but decided they weren't a huge threat for now. She studied the book the stranger showed her. Did this dragon unironically read geography books? Odd, the only geography Itsu had ever cared for was the layout of the mountains she had been raised in. "Er, I hope you manage to impress them." Itsu replied awkwardly. She had no idea what to persue after school. Art, maybe? Veteranary care? Probably not, as the only animal she had expertise in was the fox, though she wondered again if that could change. Maybe she wasn't realizing her full potential just yet. She had never needed to, nor did anyone else in her family. That might be about to change as well.
