“Nothing interesting has happened recently, ya know? Usually something exciting happens, but life is just... boring for some reason.” Ivan stated, as he poked at the rice on his plate with his chopsticks. He wasn’t very skilled in using chopsticks, and probably could use some assistance, but he was too scared to ask. Melanie noticed his nervousness almost instantly, from the sullen tone of his voice and his anxious behaviors. Melanie got up out of her chair, and knelt next to Russia.
“Ivan, do you need some help?” she smiled at him, and Russia gave a small smile. He nodded,
“Да! I don’t know how to use chopsticks very well...” and Melanie grabbed his chopsticks, adjusting them in between his fingers,
“It’s easy. All you have to do is put them in between your fingers, like this...” Melanie demonstrated, and Russia watched carefully. He attempted to pick up a sushi roll that was plated beautifully on his plate. He had the sushi in the chopsticks, and he giggled,
“I’m doing it, Melanie!” and Melanie laughed along with him,
“You’re doing a great job!” she patted his head, before the sushi fell out of the chopsticks and onto the floor. Everyone in the room, including Italy, who was fast asleep, were fearing for the worst. Melanie thought quickly, and picked up another piece of sushi and immediately pushed it into Russia’s mouth. She chuckled nervously, waiting for his reaction.

Russia was silent as he chewed on the sushi. Japan’s eyes widened, along with DJ’s. How was Melanie able to calm him down so easily? Melanie rubbed Russia’s back in a consoling manner, resting her head on his shoulder.
“This sushi is very good! Спасибо!” Russia beamed, and everyone squealed in shock.
“How was she able to comfort him that easily?!” Lithuania screeched, and Latvia was hiding behind Estonia, literally quivering.
“I was expecting him to get angry!” Latvia whispered, and Estonia let out a tiny chortle.
“Leave it to Melanie, eh?” and Russia closed his eyes, before he grabbed Melanie’s hand gently.
“Now I can return the favor!” Russia giggled childishly, before leaning towards Melanie and placing a delicate kiss on her lips. Melanie blushed furiously, as Estonia started screaming. Japan and DJ were watching all of this go down, contemplating on whether or not they should get popcorn.
“Спасибо, Ivan.” Melanie pulled away from Russia’s lips, trying to obscure the deep blush plastered on her face.
“We should continue our little chat, да?” Russia suggested, and Melanie agreed.

It wasn’t very long before Belarus and Ukraine came home from a girl’s night out. They decided to spend some sister time together, and by the time they got home, everyone was gathered in Melanie’s living room, cuddled up on a humongous couch, watching movies together. Melanie was snuggled up underneath Estonia, his arm wrapping around her, pulling her close to his body. Japan and DJ sat at the very foot of the couch, watching the movie in complete fascination. Russia was curled up with a blanket, drinking a mug of hot chocolate. Lithuania and Latvia were already fast asleep on the other end of the couch, and it was a very silent night, after dinner was served. They decided to have a big sleepover, and watch lots of movies together! It was going to be so fun!
“DJ! Psst, DJ!” Melanie yell-whispered, trying to get his attention. When he turned around and looked at her, she smiled,
“Do you think you could make more popcorn?” she gave him her signature puppy eyes, hoping he would give in.

Melanie was enveloping Russia in her arms, resting her head in the crook of his neck. She felt so much safer around him, so much more secure whenever he was present. She had admired Russia for the longest time, and was one of his closest friends. Melanie had a romantic eye for him, however, but she knew he was a little bit too old for her, and Estonia was just around her age, so it all worked out in the end. Russia chuckled heartily, patting Melanie’s back delicately,
“Ahh. Спасибо for the warm welcome, Melanie.” Russia smiled warmly, and Melanie buried her nose into his scarf, taking a huge whiff of the cologne he was wearing. It smelled so good. But, before Melanie could try to hug him any harder, Estonia was flailing his arms wildly in attenpt to get Melanie off of Russia. However, she wasn’t budging, at all. She stood there snaking her arms around Russia’s waist, slouching forward to hug him at an angle.
“Спасибо! Спасибо... You can let go now, Melanie!” Russia snickered, trying to pry his friend off of his body.

“U-Um... Melanie! Perhaps you are getting a little too close to Mr. Russia?” Estonia suggested, and Melanie giggled,
“I just... Russia is like my big brother!” she lied through a smile, knowing she would never be anle to be with Russia. It was a good thing that she had fancied Estonia much longer than she fancied Russia.
“Let’s continue working on your blog, eh Melanie?” Estonia asked, and Melanie nodded in agreement.
“That sounds like a good idea, Eduard!” and they both went into Melanie’s room for what seemed like hours to type a single blog post.

Later on, when Japan arrived, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Italy, DJ, and Melanie were all gathered at a round table, where Japan had placed a variety of homemade Japanese style cooked meals, from lunch, to dessert, and even the pasta for Italy. Although Italian food wasn’t exactly Japan’s preference, he was good at making it, after making it so many times for Italy.
“Itadakimasu!!” Melanie beamed cheerily, before digging into the rice, as the others began to chow down as well.
“So, Kiku.. How’s life like in Japan? I think I should come back again during the spring, where the cherry blossoms bloom..” Melanie tried to make small-talk as everyone ate happily.

Melanie saw DJ and Italy standing right in front of her, panting heavily after running for such a long time, and certainly a lengthy distance. She rushed to her mini-fridge in her bedroom, handing Italy a bottle of water. He never really ran that fast to begin with, and to run so rapidly to get here, she knew he had to help him out.
"Drink up, Feliciano!" Melanie beamed, and Italy immediately opened the bottled water and started chugging. She heard DJ ask if Japan was allowed to come an accompany them on this fine sunny afternoon,
"Well sure! Of course Kiku can come! The more the merrier!" she beamed brightly.

"Erm.. Melanie! I would like to talk to you, if it isn't any trouble..." Estonia squeaked in his adorable Estonian accent. She pushed past DJ and Italy, pulling Estonia to the side. Estonia was very red in the face and seemed to be heating up... Maybe he needed some cold water, too?
"Do you want some water, Eduard? You look pretty flushed.." she pressed the back of her hand against his cheek, feeling the instant heat that radiated from his skin. Her chilly hands were able to cool him down, a sigh of relief escaping his lips.
"That feels nice... u-um! Anyways! I needed to talk to you about something. I posted something on my blog about an hour ago, and I felt like.. I had to tell you about it. As you may already kn--" Estonia began, and she rolled her eyes.
"Yes. I know. From what I could read, you have a crush on someone. I get it. You don't have to tell me." Melanie weaved her slender fingers through her dark brown locks, having quite the haughty attitude. Estonia chuckled nervously,
"Well, you see... The girl I just so happen to have a crush on... is you! U-Um.." Estonia stammered, and was blushing furiously. When Melanie heard this, her body froze. He had a crush on her?
"Wait... Eduard, you have a crush on me?" she questioned, and Estonia nodded slowly.
"For.. a pretty generous amount of time, eheh. I've liked you for a long time." and suddenly, Melanie started blushing.
"W-Well... Eduard... I-I like you too!" and Estonia's face lit up completely.
"Really?! Then... would you like to go out with me?" he asked, and Melanie nodded.
"Of course I will!" Estonia cheered happily, lifting Melanie up into his arms and spinning her around.

"Привет!" a voice echoed in the halls. Russia was here, at last!
"Oh! Привет, Ivan!" Melanie smiled, squirming out of Estonia's grip to go and hug Russia. She tackled him joyously, hugging him tightly to her chest.
"How are you?" he chuckled, squeezing her tightly.
"It seems we have company!" he added with a grin.
