	They kinda are in some cases, if enough people realize what it is then they'll want to stop eating it and then they'll hopefully stop producing it... Besides, I think there are some kinds of things that work similar and are vegan. [Read more]

Well it's generally a wide claim that gelatin is an animal product, it's found on multiple sources and it's generally the explanation when you look up "gelatin", I'm not entirely sure about confectioner's glaze, but one of my family members looked up that insects are harmed in the making and I think it was also referenced in a book on insects.

I'm not taking any chances with that sort of thing, though. Not to mention I kind of gag just thinking about the contents of gelatin.

Gelatin is absolutely disgusting and not at all vegetarian. It's apparently made of ligaments and cartilage and other gross animal parts left over from meat production.

I can't eat anything with confectioner's glaze in it either, which is a common dessert ingredient. It's made out of insect goo and the insects do not survive the production.

So I'm not too disappointed about not being able to eat it...

	Being away from this thread for a few hours is being away for too long, I guess Back to the jelly bean thing, I think I've heard of it, but I have a low tolerance for gross-out stuff.
