Hanako was smiling brightly. She showed visible emotions of: pleasure, cheer, joy, etc. Pleasure that nobody had been murdedededered yet, cheerful that everybody seemed to be in one piece, and joy that things were off to a happy start. She remained standing as she started tapping out a rhythm ~~tics, habits, etc~~.

Character Age: 16
Personality: Hanako is very positive, upbeat, and seems to be constantly smiling. She is rarely seen with the 'sad frown' on her face, and is almost always seen smiling. Her constant cheerfulness can seem a bit annoying at first, but those who have sadness ~~no not mental~~ issues come around to appreciate it. She can be a little awkward at times, when she tries to be positive during a 'sad' moment, but other than that, she gives off 'confident and positive' vibes.
But on the inside, she is rather insecure, emo, and not happy. :DD

Kaori was sitting down on the floor in her dorm room, tuning her violin. She carefully adjusted the fine tuners at the bottom of her violin, and turned each string. While doing this, she reviewed her day in her head ~~cause why not~~. She had gone to all of her classes ~~like a good girl~~ and watched the clouds, bored. She didn't pay attention a lot in her classes, and that often frustrated her teachers; but after a while, they left her alone because she was still getting good grades. Somehow. And like normal, she hadn't payed attention in class and instead just waited for each class to end.

Back to the present. Kaori had just finished tuning her violin. She rosined the bow and started playing something.

Kaori thought carefully in her head. 'They seem to be sincere, but who knows? They might be masking their true intentions, their desires to eat humans. Then that would make my job even harder... But there is also a chance that they are actually not evil, but since when has that happened...'

After a moment of careful consideration, Kaori decided that she would not kill the Loremaster yet, as she needed to figure out their motives. She tilted her head, faced towards the Loremaster, and said calmly, "No... everything's fine..."

Kaori nodded, but soon stopped when she registered what the Loremaster had said. They had called themselves a 'Scientist Demon', and demons were to be slayed. And being a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, their mission was to slay the demons and save the humans. Which meant that Kaori would most likely have to slay the Loremaster.

But just as she places a hand on her sheath, she stops. She had remembered that the Loremaster had interacted with other fellow humans, and hadn't eaten them, which was something any ordinary demon would've done...

Kaori turned around, and saw the same person from earlier. She listened carefully to what they were saying, and to her, it seemed as if they were asking her name. Which Kaori was not very positive about sharing. She had just met that person, and she wasn't positive trusting them. After all, she was a rather distrustful person.

'Kaori, remember the last time you mistrusted a person but they ended up being one of your comrades? This scenario seems familiar, doesn't it?'

Kaori blinked twice. She could swear that she had just heard something... someone say something in her head. A very familiar voice, of someone who had died a long time ago...

[Legit 5 seconds later]

Kaori shook her head to clear her thoughts and faced the person, and muttered, "Kaori..."
