*As the battle unfolded and Tani fought the Cloaks bravely, Barry was hidden in one of the wagons. He held his hands over his ears to drown out the howls of Marchhounds and the screams of men. But then he opened his eyes for a brief second and saw Megumo walking towards Tani. He watched as Megumo slaughtered all in his path on his way to Tani. Barry then got out of the wagon and ran to save Tani. He tried to yell at her to move, but his yells were muffled by the battle. Finally, as Megumo nearly reached Tani, Barry pushed her out of the way and took the full force of Megumo's blade*

*Tani watched as the Marchhound's rider was shot off of it. She then saw the Marchhound look directly at Eric and charge towards him. She began to run towards Eric and just before it reached him, she lodged her sword into the beasts head, causing blood to spray all over her.*

*Maddy watched as a whole pack of Marchhounds and riders charged into the caravan. She then head one walking next to her wagon and began to hold her breath. She then saw as it began to walk past her wagon and charge into the battle*

*Maddy felt the caravan began to move and let out a wigh of relief. But then she hear a low growl coming from the trees. She then saw a pair of glowing red eyes in the forest running steaight towards them. Suddenly, a Marchhound and its rider pounced from the darkness and it began to tear into Irida's men*

*Tani watched Irida as her eyes constricted. An arrow flew thorough one of her men, causing Tani to draw her sword*

	Tani looked at the burning village. She slightlybegan to wander throughout it and saw a half charred toy animal. She picked it up and brought it closer to herself, realizing tge horrible things that may have happened to the toys owner. Tani went outside and went up to Irida. Was this a village of yours? *Tani saw Barry run down the line towards the front of the caravan. Suddenly she heard a tree branch crack and she looked towards it with her hand on her sword. She saw nothing. Nothing accept the infinitely expanding forest. Tani looked next to her and saw Eric. She quietly began to speak.* Do you ever feel like they are watching you?

*Maddy looked around at the forest next to and behind her. The tree's trunks were thicker then her wagons wheel and the trees themselves touched the skies. She looked at them and longs so much that she too could touch the skies. She then heard a bird chirp and looked towards it. It looked strange. Slightly larger than a normal bird and it watched Maddy. Suddenly, a slightly larger one dived in and grabbed it in its talons and ate it, causing Maddy to look away.*

*A few days later, the citizens of Telmar had left their kingdom. Many brought a wagon full of their possessions but some only brought what they could carry. Amongst the group however, many had grown weary of the forest and what followed them in the shadows. The night before they left, some people had complained of hearing howling wolves in the distance but no one took stalk in it. But as they began to venture deeper and deeper into the woods, certain things became more terrifying.... like the sight of smoke nearby.*

*Tani yelled at Maddy. Tears started rolling down her face and her voice began to break* Like this!! In pain! In a constant state of depression and rage! *Maddy's eyes slowly began to revert back to their normal color as Tani yelled at her* And you talk to me like I dont know what your going through and who knows!? Maybe I dont! But you have to help me Maddy! You have to help me understand! Because until you do, I cant help you! *Tani stopped yelling and almost collapsed onto a chair. She put her face in her hands and began to break down. Maddy slowly wheeled over to her and spoke in a more calm voice* Tani? *Tani ignored Maddy. But then Maddy heard Tani quietly speak.* I'm done, Maddy. It's over. *Those words were a huge punch in the gut to Maddy. She felt as though a blade was being pushed right through her heart. And as Tani stood up and walked out of the house, Maddy just stared. A single tear began to roll down her face until it too fell to the ground and broke.*

*Tani walked down the streets of Telmar and walked back to Luke's home, with tears in her eyes. She was in disbelief at what she just did. But she felt it had to happen. Once she reached Luke's home and saw he wasnt there, she closed the door behind her and rolled into a little ball at the base of it, weeping heavily into her arms and knees.*

It's not healthy- *Maddy interrupted Tani* Why did you come back? Why did you-*Maddy's eyes began to change colors as her rage grew* Freaking??! Come back??! *Tani's eyes began to tear up and she tried to speak* Maddy, Gwen told me- *Maddy interrupted Tani* Oh, Gwen!! I guess because Gwen told you it must be true! *Tani yelled at Maddy* Maddy stop it!! Gwen's your friend! She was just worried about you!

*Maddy continued on her rant* You listen to everyone else talk about me, but you dont listen to the person they look down upon! *Tani yelled at Maddy* I made a mistake, I shouldn't have come back! *Tani began to walk towards the door and Maddy continued to berate her* Ya, that's right! Run away! Run like you always do! *Tani turned around and held up her finger* DONT YOU DARE TALK ABOUT WHAT I HAVE AND HAVEN'T DONE MADDY! *Tani ran up to the house but right as she reached for the handle, she stopped. She listened and waited for a moment. She then took a deep breath and opened the door. As she walked inside she saw the mess Maddy had made during her rampage a few nights before.* Maddy? *Tani heard a floorboard creak in the hallway and saw Maddy wheel out of their bedroom. *Tani shook her head and began walking backwards* No, I'll take care of it. You just get the people ready to leave! *Tani then turned around and began to run to Sages home. But when she got there, Maddy wasnt there. She then began to run to her home, knowing Maddy had to be there.*

*After several more unsuccessful attempts to try and walk, Maddy's arms were bruised and slightly bloody from falling onto the hard wood floors. She hit the ground out of anger and yelled at it before angrily dragging herself back to her chair. She pulled herself up it and readjusted herself and just stared at the poles. After about a minute, she moved backwards and went to the bedroom. The sheets were torn up and the drawers were open, with some clothes half way in the drawers or completely fallen out. She moved to the bed and reached under it, dragging out a little box. She opened it and saw her sword, still shattered into many pieces from the day she lost her legs. She slowly moved her hand to touch the hilt but once she did, she had a flashback to the day Talla crippled her. She heard the sound of her blade shattering and saw Talla's eyes, causing her to quickly close the box and put it back under the bed*

*Maddy nodded her head and sat there as Leaf walked out and closed the door behind her. She began to move around the front room and saw the damage she had caused in her rampage. But then she saw her walking rods. They were two poles about three feet apart from eachother that were used to help Maddy strengthen her legs and maybe help her walk. When she had hope that was. She wheeled over to them and grabbed one and began to lift herself up to grab the other. She felt as her feet touched the ground and for once, she felt normal. But after a few moments, her arms gave out and she fell to the ground and hit the ground in anger. Maddy grabbed the pole and pulled herself closer to it and propped herself up. She grabbed the poles once again but this time tried to walk, but it didn't work. She couldn't move her legs. All she could do was feel like she was actually standing.*

*Maddy nodded her head and behind to remember the night Tani and her had their fight. She remembered as the two of them were bickering constantly until it finally boiled into a screaming match. She remembered as she flipped over several pieces of furniture in her rage. She remembered as Tani ran into their room and locked the door before beginning to pack a bag to stay at Luke's. She sighed and nodded her head* Ya... no place like home.. *Maddy tapped Leafs hand as it was placed onto her shoulder. Maddy then looked up towards Leaf* I can take it from here, Leaf.

*Tani looked at both Blossom and Rose as they began to catch up. She then saw as Gwen began to walk towards her* Excuse me guys, duty calls. *Blossom nodded her head and Rose, looking visibly annoyed, nodded as well. Tani then walked towards Gwen*
