After her parent's death in a car crash, Shadow was left to live her life all alone, without being taken care of. She couldn't even get to say goodbye to them. Shadow was forced back to her home, now with no one to rely on.

That was a week ago. Shadow, looking for some books to read, noticed the dark attic her parents never allowed her to go.
She wondered why she wasn't allowed up there.

With a flashlight, Shadow slowly opened the door and walked inside. As she pointed her flashlight toward some areas, she noticed a book on a pile of old furniture. Bringing it out of the attic, Shadow opened up to the first page. It said:

"Only the Chosen Ones
can save the lost city of Anuria"

The next page showed a map of Anuria in the rest of the world, and a map of Anuria itself. The page after that described the curse laid upon Anuria, which was that it would stay underwater, invisible(visible to the Chosen Ones) and that it would never find happiness until the curse is broken. That could only be done by releasing the evil in the Sacred Bottle of Anuria. Unfortunately, it's guarded by demons along with the city itself.

It was located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, perhaps it was an underwater city?

Determined to find out, Shadow packed her bag with as much food and water as she could and a few other necessary supplies.
She took off, realizing 20 minutes later that she needed a boat to get there.

And she was lost. Shadow wondered if there was anyone she could find to help her on her journey...

Meanwhile,

A demon spying on Shadow saw her trying to get to Anuria while keeping Anuria from breaking the curse upon it. Saving Anuria? That would not happen.
