And a slight correction on the math: 30k is 14.29% of 210k 200k is 16% of 1.25mil So the difference isn't as much as you initially thought, their payback is near-identical statistically speaking. [Read more] |

Improving things to make them more fair for the future (whether that's something completely unimportant in a game, such as making a Pokemon easier to obtain, or something very important in real life) does mean that people who worked through the unfairness before will have missed out; but that doesn't mean that future people should have to continue to suffer through the same unfair situations when they can - and should - be improved. Especially considering that the number of people who will benefit from the change is drastically more than the number of people who have already obtained one or more Shiny Swords. Not to mention that it makes no sense for a group of Pokemon that aren't that special being worth 1mil PD each in summoning items... that's higher than the exclusive event Legendaries like Shaymin and Kyurem that are only available 2 weeks or less each year. I disagree with changing the minigame-trigger to being a definite link you click on as in my opinion that removes a lot of the "spooky" from a Halloween-themed questline that is supposed to be startling, plus makes it too quick to complete. I'm neutral on changing the spawn odds as a whole, since the gap between minigames has always felt fine to me but I've never gone through dedicatingly converting several in a row, so I can't really comment. I remember Greggory_Lee mentioned in the past an item such as "Alolan Lei" which can be found via the Alola rumble area, and when held by a Cubone, Exeggcute, or Pikachu that rumbles in Alola would cause them to evolve into their Alolan version. A Galarian item could be something such as "Galarian Tea" or something similarly british-seeming. Alternatively a single item, perhaps called "Faraway Stone" or something like that, could be used for evolving Pokemon into their Regional evolutions when sent to the appropriate region Rumble Area. In my opinion this would keep the regional evolutions linked to the Alola and Galar Rumble Areas and still not "easy" to get, but allows them to be readily available as Shiny without relying on full-odds random luck. I would however still be happy with simply an Item or sending to the Rumble Area. [Read more] |

The price of Pokemon Eggs from the Gem Collector are a set number of Gems that changes depending on the rarity of the Pokemon you're asking for. - A Ditto Egg costs 10k Normal Gems - by far the most expensive Egg on site at approx. 10mil PD value per Egg. - A Legendary Bird Egg costs 2.5k Flying Gems + 2.5k Fire/Ice/Electric Gems (5k Gems total) - half the price but still significantly more expensive than any other Eggs in the game. Other Legendary / Mythical Pokemon's summon items are usually much closer valued to 200-300k PD each maximum, despite being significantly easier to obtain than a whopping 10k Gems. Even Xerneas and Yveltal, which are ONLY available by Gem Collector, only take 300 Gems each (though 75 of those are Dragon Gems, which are drastically more valuable). This isn't balanced or fair and, as Karp points out in his post, the math on how many Gems you would need to obtain for a full Shiny Hunt and how much that comparatively costs in PD is beyond ridiculous. Considering that the only other way to obtain Legendary Bird / Ditto Eggs is via the Lab, the only possible way to hunt these Pokemon is through trading with the Gem Collector, which is currently infeasible, and needs a massive change. Something I went through several years back caused me some pretty serious trauma, and amongst other things there were certain Pokemon that, in various ways, were linked to the situation and therefore became a trigger On top of that. Sometimes people just don't want a plushie sent to them cause they'd rather receive meaningful plushies and not be spammed with "I need to spend DP" plushies. And that should be respected too. It doesn't have to be deep. [Read more] |

While I like the idea of specific berry compost improving the growth of another specific berry, I have another possible suggestion for how these Composts could work; their effect could be based on the "flavor" of the berries used. So for example: If you make Pecha berries into compost, you'd end up with Sweet Compost which boosts yield and lowers growth speed. If you use Chesto berries for your compost, you'd get Dry Compost that increases growing speed but decreases berry yield. Berries with more than one flavor - like Sitrus, which is Dry, Sweet, Bitter, and Sour - could randomly select one of the flavors to use for the created Compost, plus have a very low chance to make a level-up Compost instead which would instantly boost the Berryplant's level by 1 (and possibly a low chance to make a "bad" compost, to balance out the risk of trying to get the level-up compost). To preserve the Nugget-value of Mulches, it could require a large amount of berries to make a bag of Compost - like 100-200 or something - so that it still takes quite a lot of effort, and it could perhaps take 6-12 hours to fully compost. Another possibility is to make the Nugget-bought Mulches have no "drawbacks", ie they just give a benefit such as increased yield, whereas make the Composts have a "tradeoff" effect similar to the original games, ie boosts yield but lowers speed of growth. Some suggestions for the possible Composts, all single-use and only usable on soil BEFORE a Berry is planted (to prevent avoidance of the increased growing time): - Sweet Compost - Increases yield by 2, decreases growth speed by 10%. - Sour Compost - Increases yield by 5, decreases growth speed by 25%. - Dry Compost - Increases growth speed by 10%, decreases yield by 2 (to a min. of 1) - Bitter Compost - Increases growth speed by 25%, decreases yield by 5 (to a min. of 1) - Spicy Compost - Doubles experience gained from harvesting the Berries, decreases growth speed by 20%. - Rare Compost - An equivalent of the level-up Mulch, named after Rare Candies. Instantly boosts the Berryplant's level by 1. Would have a very low chance of being made when Berries with 3 or more flavors are composted. - Curious Compost - Randomly either increases yield and decreases growing speed, or increases growing speed and decreases yield. Would have an uncommon chance of being made from Berries with 3 or more flavors being composted. Suggested so that we can balance out the possibility of getting Rare Compost. [Read more] |
