Leilani shrugged. She kicked the dusty ground under her feet, it wasn't really any of her business anyway. She'd spaced out of a bit but was suddenly back in the moment after hearing a thud. Her Tsareena had kicked another pokemon across the floor. A wild one from what it looked like.

"Marina? What happened?"

She looked at the pokemon worried, who just chirped grumpily at her.

Angelo checked if he had all of his Pokemon with him,including the luxury ball. he checked his satchel and sighed with relief. he looks at the others "how many areas are here? I've never seen a place this this before"

Athena saw a lot of rocks. she was curious about the area

Sorion stayed silent and carefully walked towards Leilani and peered over her shoulder. A frown resting on his face he asked, "What happened? What did Tsareena kick?"

It seemed to be a loud thump.

Leilani furrowed her brow.

"I think it was a pokemon but I'm not quite sure."

She walked over to her Tsareena who made a sort of warning/growling sound at her. She took a step back. Her Tsareena chirped and all her pokemon decided to block her.

"They won't let me see."

Angelo pets Athena.but then Cloudjumper's PokeBall falls out. and Cloudjumper comes out of the ball. Angelo zips his satchel shut "oh, I forgot to close this. thankfully none of my Pokemon fell out when I went over the fall" Angelo pets Cloudjumper

Cloudjumper smiles.he seees that leilani's Pokemon won't let he see. so he goes to Leilani and offers her a ride on his back"

After struggling to make it up the barrier, Jasper finally clawed their way over. Climbing was never their strong suit, and it was a little embarrassing showing it in front of these new people. They rolled over onto their back and noticed something strange. The Tsareena was blocking something a little ways away. Something didn’t feel right about this, but they needed to get closer to figure out what.

Feeling a pull of curiosity, they slowly made their way over to Leilani’s pokemon to investigate.

Lucas saw the wall and grinned “Flagram, let’s get some speed” The Arcanine quickly ran faster towards the wall before jumping high into the air, clearing the wall and landing light as a feather on the other side. Lucas’s Scizor and Zoroark struggled to keep up with the Arcanine’s speed but they too were able to scale the wall. Lucas still felt exhilarated from the jump when he noticed Leilani’s Tsareena blocking something. Curious, he decided to go look.

Aegir overheard the commotion, shushing his Pokemon and returning them to their Pokeballs, save for Jolteon, who resented his Pokeball. Aegir rushed over to the scene. "What's going on? What was that thump?"

His brows were furrowed, and his head was tilted, hair falling over his eyes. He quickly brushed his hair aside with a flick of his palm so he could try and catch a glimpse. What could that be? Leilani's Pokemon almost hurried to cover up what had happened - and that was incredibly suspicious. What could've possibly gotten Leilani's pokemon to act like this?

Leilani struggled to look past her pokemon, who were doing a great job at stopping her. She eventually gave up trying to push past them. Luckily, the mysterious pokemon had stopped being dazed from the kick and got up, growling at them. It tried to pounce at the closest person but failed to, it's leg was injured.

"...A vulpix?"

The alolan vulpix was definitely out of place. They were much closer to the desert than it's icy habitat. Leilani frowned. It was also being much more aggressive than usual.

"Why is it down here?"

The alolan vulpix lay on the rocky path for everyone to see. The ice pokemon’s white fur was almost blinding in the hot sun. Jasper backed off slightly, stunned by the sudden flashbang, but quickly regained their composure. They carefully made their way up to the vulpix trying not to scare them.

Once they were close enough, they held their tail over the smaller pokemon to provide some comfort from the blazing sun. They lowered their head and quietly inquired as to how the vulpix had ended up here

Aegir spotted the vulpix, and confusion sank into his expression. An alolan vulpix, here? Of all the places in the entire Alola region, this rocky pathway was no place for an icy vulpix. He noticed its injury and dug into his pants' pockets.

Nothing here, nothing there... after rummaging around, Aegir produced bandages from one of his other pockets. He had no medical experience, but surely someone else here did.

"I've got bandages for its injury," He hurriedly exclaimed, "I don't think it... likes me, though. I won't be able to bandage it. Anyone here with.. some semblance of experience?"

The vulpix hissed at him. Aegir shot it an offended stare.

How off-putting seeing an ice type out here in the hot openings of the red rocky plains. Sorion's lips drawn to a taut line in contemplation. This encounter only brings more mystery to this island.

However for now the core question was:

"Aegir you said it seemed hostile? Was it because of the Tsareena earlier? Or... Was it something else entirely?"

After all, usually vulpix's are tame and docile creatures that are protected by their evolved counterparts. So where was it's parent? The ninetail?

Angelo saw the alolan vulpix "maybe the vulpix is lost?" Angelo slowly approached the alolan vulpix "hello little one. Are you lost?" Angelo held his hand out to the vulpix "it's okay little one,I'm friendly"

Athena was a bit worried for Angelo.she thought the vulpix will pounce at Angelo. She tugged on Angelo's hoodie with her mouth

Angelo sighs and pets Athena "I will be fine" Angelo pets the vulpix "see? I'm friendly"

The vulpix recoiled, instinctively biting the hand that touched it. It growled at all of the people and pokemon, to which Leilani's Tsareena growled back. The vulpix looked off. There was just something about it that rubbed Leilani the wrong way. Maybe it was the wild, insane look in it's eyes or how aggressive a usually friendly pokemon was acting.

Aegir chuckled, a lopsided grin forming. He shook his head as he clutched the bandages in his hand.

"Did you really think you could tame a feral Pokemon? We need to understand the problem, not just... jump right in."

He paused to inspect the Pokemon. It seemed incredibly on edge—with a look to it that wasn't common in such young Pokemon. It looked deranged and agressive.

"Does anyone have a Pokemon that can use a soothing move?"

At Aegir's question Sorion paused before stepping forward towards the ferla Vulpix, completely disregarding Angelo whom was thrown back in a mess. He had one hand dangling near his waist dancing between 2 pokeball. He turned towards the group, more specifically Aegir smiling. "It depends what you call a soothing move honey. Do we want to knock this little guy out, or are we just trying to make the Vulpix calm down?"

Sorion calmly enunciated everyword, a playful smile dangling on his lips. The way his eyebrows curled spelled a tongue of mischief while the hair swaying in the wind added mystique.

"I vote for knocking the little guy out so we can delve into a deeper investigation."

Sorion chose the first pokeball.

Angelo signed “I’m fine, the bite didn’t hurt. I actually can handle it. I got used to bites when Athena would playfully bite me” Angelo looks at Sorion “I wouldn’t suggest fighting it. This Pokémon did nothing wrong” Angelo attempted to pet the vulpx again

Athena growled at the alolan vulpix. She didn’t seem to trust it.but she than stopped growling and pets the Vulpix’s head

The smile on Sorion's lips stilled. When he heard the man and the pokemon both reach forward and try to touch the feral pokemon again, this time Sorion didn't hesitate. He didn't offer anymore words of advice nor did he wait for any green light from the people around him.

Nor did he bother turning his head to see Angelo and his pokemon get flung back by the hostile Vulpix. There was no point in waiting anymore it seems.

Sorion's lips twisted into a half sneer half smile as he plucked one of his Pokeballs off his waist in a swift and practiced movement. Pressing the center button a bright red light shines forth.

"Dodo, mega drain."

The moment the monotone sentence finished, Shiinotic let out a bright beam of green light towards the Vulpix, swiftly hitting it with precision.

Aegir, watching the spectacle, chose not to interfere. He didn't exactly have much of an attatchment towards the vulpix, plus, it had glared at him.

It would be better off unconscious, and taken to a place where it can be studied.

"You can stuff it in my bag," Aegir muttered, "...if that helps."

He opened his messenger bag, offering to carry the vulpix along as they walked. He stuffed his bag with a handkerchief so that the items in his bag wouldn't jab at the poor vulpix.

"What was to be expected from a man who wouldn't stop caressing a clearly stressed Pokemon? Treat Pokemon with respect, they say. And who listens," he sighs, picking up the vulpix and cradling it in his arms. "Respect a Pokemon's boundaries, they say," he shook his head, sarcastically lamenting the vulpix's interactions with someone.

"Seems nicer now that it's... well, unconscious."

During the entire commotion, Leilani had been spaced out as she put together what she knew about the way the vulpix had been acting. Her Tsareena nudged her and she snapped out of it, looking at the others.
