Peridot meets Magic's gaze, observing her movements with a calculated weight. A small smile crept up the side of his muzzle. "I presume you mean your Lycanroc pal from the good old days, no? Or perhaps you are referring to Echo?"

The Toxtricity closed his eyes. "I'll be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing that old bat again. I wonder if he's doing his own part in this whole thing."

"Echo?" Magic chuckles, rolling her eyes with a flick of her ear. "..I don’t really keep in touch with him. Last I saw though, he’s teamed up with Lune of all Pokémon for this mess. Thought those two had a falling out, but I guess old habits die hard."

She shifts her weight and folds her arms, tone more thoughtful now. “Anyway, I’m not too worried about them. Velkan’s the one we should talk to. He’s got a little shop tucked away here in Midspire—some kind of historical archive and antiques place. Dusty, quiet, full of weird old stuff.”

Peridot hummed, pulling a pecha berry out of his bag as he looked at Magic. "Velkan and I didn't exactly have the best first impression, you know. Still, I'm willing to follow along."

He turned to Mokito and Finn. "And what about you two? Do you want to follow?"

Magic raised an eyebrow. “Lunch? At 9 AM? Sure, why not,” she said with a laugh, waving her paw casually. “We’ll grab something light on the way.”

But her tone shifted in an instant as she spotted the glint of something slipping into Finn’s bag. Her eyes narrowed.

“Wait—hold on!”

Her paw snapped forward, and a gentle glow of psychic energy surged out, halting the map shard mid-air just before it vanished into the bag. The shard hovered between them, light catching on its edges.

“How and why do you have this?” Magic demanded, suddenly serious. "Is this one of the ones from the guilds?"

"I... um... I have it because... um..." *Finn said, sweating more and scratching the back of his head with his paw in nervousness*

"Alright, fine. There was a rich guy who came to the hotel and I 'borrowed' a few of the maps he had. That one small shard I took too because it looked like a Pomeg berry, but I saw it was part of the map to the treasure." *Finn stopped and took a breath*

Peridot crouched down, lowering himself to the Flareon's eye level. "Why? You know these pieces are important to the guilds, right?" he asked in a gentle tone. "Whatever they lead to, I think there's some reason why no one guild had all the pieces."

Mokito looks at the map shard
"Finn, where did you get that?"
Mokito overhears what Finn says and waits until Peridot finishes explaining
"I agree. These map shards will help our guild to find the treasure, not just keeping it for yourself. Also two questions. First, did you steal it? The 'borrowed' didn't really sound like you borrowed it, no one just hands out map shards like pieces of candy. Second, who was it? Did you still remember what it looked like? Since it might be some sketchy rogue or someone who stole the map shards from guilds."

“Hmm…? One second…!” Bolt said, searching for something. “Bitzer, we are going around evening so we can get to our spot we are going to search first. Winston, it’s quite complicated but the map is a map to treasure that was split up and given to each guild.
