why is there a celebi in the corner of my screen?

That Celebi icon means that it's a 2× Interaction Multiplier day.. today.

After the Community : Lovemeter filled up yesterday.. all interactions that you make today count twice.

Hover (or right-click) on that Celebi icon and it'll tell you that as well.

I won the "Event Spriting Contest" as it says on News Announcement #224.
