"Ok little one, just so you know, I am not your mother, cuz we're
different species, see? But I am taking care of you, well at least
until a) we find a cure, b) we don't find a cure and you have to
grow up again, or c) we get a time dragon to fix this"
"Oh! Okay!" Midori said, running quickly out of her room. She was
messing around with the color of her scales, and so her scales were
left a blinding yellow color. She changed them back as soon as she
realized, not wanting to seem too awkward.
Whiplash turned to Midori. "Oh, hey, come look it him, isn't he
cute! I believe TidePool told you about him already? We're calling
him NightWing for now, since we don't know his real name."
"Aww! He is adorable!" Midori said, nuzzling "Nightwing" lightly.
"Hi Nightwing, I'm Midori." She said gently. She always seemed to
act differently to dragonets than older dragons.
"He doesn't talk either, just chirps. Hard to understand, but
adorable." Whiplash said to Midori
"Sorry, but I don't know who your real parents are." Whiplash said
to "NightWing"
"But it's ok, I'll take good care of you."
Whiplash looked up at blue. "Yep! He's a shadow dragon, about your
age. He is actually a young adult, but is now under a de-aging
enchantment. We call him NightWing"
"That is strange. I hope we can figure out what's wrong with him. I
won't be much help though, I'm just good for entertaining," Midori
said, looking sheepishly at Whiplash. She then turned back to
"Nightwing," and changed her scales to a black color for the
dragonet.
