this is directly taken and is heavily inspired by an old
roleplay made by ~Fahrenheit~ that never got to be play.
they have gave me permission to take this role play and make my own
version of it.
this will not be a one-to-one copy of it and there will be changes
by me so do not expect this to be a carbon copy.
trigger warning on this one also as it involves cult stuff and cult
sacrifices.
being able to speak as humans do with the addition of being able to purr like an actual cat, building their own little Society with Tokyo being the hottest spot that everyone wanted to go, containing everything you could think of that you would want to find it seems like that you could potentially have by simply opening a door.
even having its own bustling little famous cafe called that was called the Cat's Lucky Paw Corner that you just had to have a bite or sip once in your lifetime, I mean why wouldn't you there's no cafe around here that you would find compared to this one, you're missing out on so much goodness and delicious if you don't try once in your entire lifetime!
Seeming to pop up overnight as famous icons, companies, and advertisements, anywhere you looked you would see a black collar with a pink bow that had a golden bell hanging down off it in the middle as a lot of impressible and easily targeted souls fell under this pressure and got themselves the collar, thankfully they were still a good majority that didn't fall for such a trick and didn't want to spend their money on something so trivial at the end of the day.
But if you're one of those poor souls who bought and put on the collar, oh how unlucky you were...
these collars have an ancient curse placed on them as you would turn and become trapped in your feline form, with no matter how hard you try this collar being unable to be taken off by natural means or any means, you may have been part of a cat but you weren't meant to be a full cat, not to mention it wasn't the most funniest experienced having your body physically transform into a cat with all the pain to boot.
but at least it wasn't purely false advertising, you did let out a pretty chime every time you walked coming from the bell.
being so busy the manager didn't have enough current employees to keep it up, as they would welcome anyone interested in being an employee with absolutely no experience, even if you were a kitty cat, especially if you were a kitty cat as we can set you free!
beginning to advertise that they could help break the curse of the suffering souls, as a mix of regular neko and nonregular neko out of sheer desperation begin to apply, and this is meant to be a friendly little chef right?

It is for the best you do.
Making a proper bell using the cursed bell from collars as you curse ones are immune from the affected the actual sound that the bell has that is made by your collar as well as your other curse friends that are in the same boat not being affected when your bell chimed, but if someone was to shake that Bell to make to chine themself then well... a curse and also not curse once would become in a mind control state but seems to be immune to the customers and only the workers of curse and not curse individuals, shortly being taken to a dark secretive room with a pentagram in the middle and blood stains scattered round of floor both fresh and old.
but more importantly, there was a statue.
a very special statue.
the statue of our god that we kill and give sacrificing souls that were once alive.
this statue is that of a Neko but they had two tails with wisp at the end of their tails, as one cat and one normal one would be pushed into the pentagram by the control ones of whatever one they were being given to the command to do so, with the two of them being brutally killed by the original workers as all the other control ones would sing on and watch, some even snapping from their control due to the scarring screams as all it took was intense willpower to power through this control, only to be gained upon and hold down by other ones that were still under control as they were killed also one by one with these simply dying due to them not being in a circle.
but if you were in the circle...
then you would be reborn as a nekomata with the cursed one still wearing the collar but now able to switch between humanoid and a cat form, as these ones served and worshiped original workers and the manager with unwavering loyalty and would do everything on a whim for them.
not they knew how to break the curse in reality in a way that you would become a slave, as the ones who know how to break the cure are the company themselves but you don't know that yet.
and I think it would not be surprising that you would be killed on the spot if you happened to catch the act and not be under control, there's no way that they can let this get out in the public anyway, we can't have anyone going out and spreading the news, can we?
do you wish to make sure to get out alive and actually seek the real way to break the curse, maybe even trying to save some souls on the way out before it's too late?
are you a worker that's against the cult practices or are you a worker that condolences it?
are you one of the original workers and manager slaves that make sure no one leaves alive, especially if they have the news of the real practices and not to have it out to the public?
or maybe even joined the cult itself without having to be under control to do so?

the average citizen that is blissfully unaware to the horror and some desperate for a job like everyone else, thankfully for you that you can get your own job without even needing experience, I mean it would be dumb not to take such an easy job opportunity for the benefit of no experience like everywhere else right?
-Curse Neko-
these are the poor souls that were once an average Neko but now a little old kitty by going under a painful transformation as when nekomata change they no longer feel the pain going under transformation, without much hope of knowing a way to turn back to normal then you're going to take the opportunities of a chance of changing back as a chef began to claim.
some cursed neko though wish to live the rest of the life as a little kitty cat, these ones building their own little Society to become fugitives as they walk among the busy streets and beg or steal food from normal neko.
-Nekomata-
legend and tales have been told but these were worshiped as they were never real, but were saw as gods and the ascended form of the Neko and have a high following of worship and praise with many Neko wanting to be just like them.
but thankfully a cafe has found out how to make them real, all you need to do is to sacrifice them in front of a statue as they would be reborn as one, but the con that they become a slave to whoever were the original members and the head leaders of their respective cult.
they have their own personality, mind, and sentient but when called over they will come over to serve whatever they may need as well as being active member now in the part of the respective cult, with a mix of ones that wish to continue to do their practices but some do not wish to do so anymore but have no choice to say as long as they want to suffer severe consequences.
they also kill anyone without mercy that has managed to catch them in the act, the cafe cannot afford having their cultist deeds going out to the public, or ones that they have gained a suspicion for that they may be starting to know a little too much that there comfortable with.
The Wild Neko Groups

each one having their own sets of rules and how things work, if a curse neko that's part of a group encounters a Neko that is curse also but wishes to join one of these many groups.
then the neko takes them to a special place where they tell one of their members to gather up all the leaders, with all of them coming together to explain their group and be presented with which one they wish to join.
each member is given a unique name that they are able to pick for themselves for whatever they see best which is a combination of words and never a human name.
there are also certain roles as there are ones that raise the kittens they have to be left unattended for whatever reason, the scavengers are the one tasks for bringing back food or materials to build with as well with stealing basic medical supplies for treating injured members, the fighters which are sent out into the battle line against a group may choose to invade or attack, then you have the ones in training to become a warrior or your average one who doesn't have any special tasks and is simply a member.
so why don't we see our group's options shall we?
-The Daybreaker Group-
this group is perfect for cats that are active during the day or dawn and sleep all night which is bit odd for a cat but every cat is different, this group lives by the law of take enough to survive and don't take anymore to not be greedy, as well the ones that are quick to react when a member has gotten injured or hurt and immediately takes action, everyone here is seen on an equal level and no one is more care more than the other, as well as always making sure to remind to be there for one another and to protect one another in the face of danger, as well as holding ceremonies for anyone that has passed and especially fallen warriors.

A normal looking Pallas Cat that wears the curse collar around there neck like everyone else, they have a beautiful golden ring which is engagement ring as it was only a couple days before her and her girlfriend would get married before being kicked out the own apartment they shared when they fell victim to the curse.
Personalities:
surprisingly sweet and caring even when losing her plan to be wife as Sunchaser tends to be on the reserved and quiet side as well preferring to talk in a quiet tone than a louder tone as she really didn't like loud noises that weren't from the city which she gotten used to, as they happen to be on the smarter and when it comes to finding solutions with a problem or issue they were facing being that one someone that you would come to for advice and not scared to say the truth and put their foot down when they need to. Sunchaser and is highly sociable but only towards their own members but can welcome anyone in with open arms if they need somewhere to stay for a little bit or simply needed to get away from their own clan for a little bit also, usually taking walks as they were quite active and enjoyed moving to see if any of their members needed help by chance, enjoying the feeling they would get when they did help other cats and when they saw their members happy faces and enjoying themselves while feeling safe and comfortable here in this environment.
-The Shadowstriker Group-
these cats are awake and active during the night time or dusk and it's the most greedy and selfish out of them all, these cats working together to find ways to sneak into a building and then take off with all they could possibly take, as this group is stained with blood as it was not frowned or looked down upon if you killed another member In cold blood, this usually happening when the leader and everyone else sees no value in them anymore or if members have something that another member wants then they would fight to potential deaths, with the ones that did die having no ceremony as they were left to be forgotten away like they never even existed in the first place. this group lives by the law that you shall not help any of your fellow members as they cry and beg for help and to be a lone wolf and always a lone wolf, to never show any fear even if your face with certain death as showing fear to this group in their eyes was seen as weak, to also always take a risk that may be presented and you would be shunned by the leader and everyone else if you didn't do so.

A little bit more on the heavier side but not my much as they were a normal looking Caracal, but the set them apart they had chains wrap and running up their entire leg with real life crow feathers hanging down, as well as wearing another chain around their head that didn't have crow feather hanging down but instead a real life top part of a crow skull hanging down in the middle.
Personalities:
cruel and ruthless they seem to express no other emotion than rage and irritation as they had a lot of blood on their own claws that were inflicted by them, with Hexblade murdering members that they saw were unwanted or unuseful as there was a case here and there where they were able to recover from their severe injuries but most don't, he's highly selfish and greedy as most materials go to him his members only getting enough to measly survive but can give up materials if a member has met up his standards which were usually unrealistically high, the ones usually get the most reward if they have killed another member in some way that dare to define or protest of his hogging of the materials. Hexbalade intentionally and only has the ability to actually care about members that have done the most or are valuable in his eyes which could be a blessing and a curse, as the more valuable you were to then less likely you were going to get unsustainable injuries, but thanks to that if you fall in his eyes you will experience the worst that he has offered, being incredibly stealthy and fast will not stop pursuing them until they have grown tired and the claws have strike the skin, most who joined his claim come for thrill that it provides with its gambling and it's luck or perish nature and being a ruthless environment all around the survival of the fittest if you're in the group.
-The Sirensong Group-
this group is for those "weird" cats that like to swim or take a bath in it as they share a similar quality with Daybreaker when it comes to caring and looking out for other members, but the main difference that this group is a lot more cautious and advise to be cautious and on guard when putting your trust in members that aren't from your group, making sure you get to know the most about them as if you did then at least you know the weaknesses and strengths and possibly backstabbed them, which was strongly recommended to do so and encourage if another member that wasn't from a different group had happened to backstab you, with deaths and violent being a acceptable form of punishment the only ones who have backstab you as if you did it when they didn't backstab you then you would only the only ones who have backstab you as if you did it when they didn't backstab you then you would only meet death yourself. this group are trained fishers as members would go out and break into ponds that may contain fish, striking at the right moment as they would take it back with this group staying around areas where ponds and fountains were easily access so they can do their water shenanigans, this group being good friends with the day group as they would often trade fish to any other group that wasn't Shadowstrikers, always making sure to remind their members out of everything you do not ever put your trust into a member from the Shadowstirkes.

A skinnier than average ocelot, they wear a pearl string bracelet that was actually given by her mother before passing away in hospital due to long-term health issues that we're starting to become too much for her mother.
Personalities:
peppy and energetic as well as calm and compose as Seashore encourages others to try new things and loves to try new things herself and is very much curious as well playful, making sure everyone gets breaks while they have done their hard work which she also reminds for everyone to put their hardest work in, as the harder you put into work and the longer of free time you would have to play around would be longer before having to go back. Seashore is someone who has a hard time taking things seriously as she tries her best to light up and break up tensions with other members or leaders themselves, while also ensure that they be careful who they trust as and to always treat them as sketchy before you actually lean in some trust, unless you were a member of the shadow strikers as it was advised to never trust them, as this was the group that they made sure to never trade their fish with compared to other groups and would only close off training if they didn't have enough fish to give away so they can also keep themselves in check.
-The Jungleclimber Group-
these are for the cats that love to climb the trees and would make their territory around the park area similar to the Sirensongs but unlike the other group they were not nearly as sharing and caring when it comes to stepping into park areas that they claim, as it was not uncommon for a fight to break out if the group wanted this land but the other group also happened to want it, this was inevitable to happen and couldn't be avoided when it happened to decide which part that the group would take, as the Jungleclimber group will always ingrain that if you see a member from the Sirensong then to always attack them no matter if it was until death for one of you. They often have members come in to steal their caught fish populations similar to the shadows due to trade refusal, leading to these two groups becoming close allies due to their sharing disdain for this group, so they would often have members on patrols though out the night to try and prevent their fish from being stolen with as day also offering their own members to help them with this, they have a lower and higher ranking when it comes to each member in the leader eyes as the difference is they don't actually kill their members no matter how useless they were but they would still insured a punishment being delivered.

A average weight and normal looking Snow Leopard, they have sturdy arm cuffs that are made out of bark as well as a cuff for their tail also.
Personalities:
Putting on a facade that they were rather nice but in reality they were rather nasty as they did encourage support and did give their members all to support they could, but everything has to be done their way and only their way and they definitely don't like criticism towards their group, as they were rather narcissistic as well manipulative without feeling a hint of remorse or feeling bad for doing so, able to be rather violent and will attack members they have grown sick of as they were known to have the highest tolerance. Timdersaping only sees their members as toys as they simply enjoy having toys at their disposal, always making sure to attack after weak point so they would feel bad about themselves and then use it as a bribe for other cats to take care of her to show that they really care about her, not hesitate to hurt another cat's feelings but doesn't feel bad on doing so, certainly being someone that has that charm to them that they use their charming abilities to use on herself then other.

having medium length hair that was a mix of white, orange, and black as well as her tail has she had a slender intractable as build she was someone who always made sure to stay fit and made sure to have a balanced meal that had a little bit of everything as balance was one of the most important thing to her, with her eyes a orangish yellow color and where do work uniform proudly and would always look down at the workers who didn't wear the uniform, as this was one of the establishments out there that you didn't have to wear the work uniform if you didn't want to.

Being one of the first and original workers for the cafe when it first opened doors as Bella had two distinct demeanors that combine and become intertwined together to flow with each other and she could switch between with ease, coming from a large family of brothers and sisters which made Bella very much a family person by nature and is very protective of her own family as well as when she saw and felt as family to her, as she was highly sympathetic and empathetic and in tune with other emotions and knows when something is wrong and it's always there to be that one person you need to talk to, cracking jokes for fun and joining in the laughter as she has some child next to her with the adultness, simply being a fun person to be around and that one person you always wanted to invite. but there was some more concerning side of her as she could be rather sadistic and twisted as she was always into really interested in insanely dark practices and all sorts of not so good crafts, always finding them interesting and almost a guidance to them as she would suddenly begin acting all derange and suddenly pull out a weapon to try and slaughter you in cold blood in the special hidden room where the practices were done, simply becoming insane as she found thrills and enjoyments when they would scream and especially when they would try and struggle to fight back, becoming rather mocking when she was in this state but yet had no desire to change it as she enjoyed it as much as her other state, as long as you weren't family to her then you were a target to her that could be the next victim she could kill and become reborn into one of the new companies and worker slaves, as she would always see it that she was granting them a blessing for them to be a better and more potential state they were before.

Having long hair with a mix of black and darker orange as the front of her neck was entirely light but wasn't fur compared to the ears and the tail that had the mix orange and black also, wearing a set of earrings on both side that were gold with them wearing gold colored glasses also as their vision was blurry without them but could still make out basic shapes and colors and movement without them, with ray having solid green color eyes as he wore a simple pure pink shirt was a pure white light jacket over it and light blue jeans or shorts depending on the weather but definitely preferred shorts, with him finishing off with black slip-on shoes as he didn't wear to work uniform much, as he definitely enjoyed his usual clothes much more and not to work outfits if he didn't have to.

Being an extremely rare case of a male Tortoiseshell Calico as eyes were on him from the very beginning and one of the very few males that were in his large family of sisters with Bella be one of them, as he soon got an invitation from Bella to work in this cafe as Ray needed a job and he didn't see the harm working with one of his siblings. Ray is calm and composed but is also highly serious but equally as friendly as he enjoyed working with other as well helping them out, he isn't one to complain about any task that was given to him as he knew someone had to do eventually, usually being rather quiet as he only felt the need to talk when others were talking to him or when he simply needed to, also being a great problem solver and visualizer as he always had a suggestion to add if you ever wanted to hear it, being good at giving commands In the heat of the moment to others and being quick to react as he waste no time getting involved in situations if someone needed to get involved.

a rather average looking tuxedo with long fur, they wear a very light pink sweater so they don't get too warm but like the look of wearing of feeling one.
Personalities:
loveing and caring as they decided to apply to work at the chef to see if there's a way of turning back to normal but this didn't stop them from now wanting pets all the time as well beginning to let a continuous purr every time, as Jojo despises being alone as they would almost always be laying next to someone getting pets but only vocally demand for them to continue petting them if they ever did stop, very much a vocal kitty who enjoyed talking a little bit too much that they didn't know when to stop their rambling until someone tells them that it was more than enough now. JoJo is also very helpful in loves to help others and especially staff workers by going up to them and asking what they may need so she could bring it to them, enjoying the feeling of gratitude that they would give as when it comes to new people compared to people she already began to grow to knew, as JoJo will become extremely frightened and skittish and will flee to find somewhere to hide but would let you touch them if you did find them as she would grow more comfortable to the ones that would come often compared to the ones that didn't come too often, usually coming over to greet those ones with a warm welcome due to her being extremely friendly when she has deemed you safe.
