My daycare quest still says come back when you hatched the egg. Although I hatched it and sold it. What do I do?

Please check out that forum post about it.

Anyways, have you checked your "egg storage" first.. for that quest egg?

I won the "Event Spriting Contest" as it says on News Announcement #224.

According to that forum post's reply..

You needed to buy an egg storage.. and then it'll be automatically filled up with your missing quest egg.
