Iteral did not risk calling again. Last thing she wanted is her being captured or her phone being destroyed, that is the only lifeline they had. She looks over, keeping her injured appearance up and when seeing Mercy, she just weakly shakes her head.

You know the first rule in combat? shoot them before they shoot you.

Moon shot a murderous look at Elodie, and slowly held out her arm. She knew what was going to happen next, what with truth serum, or something else that would force her to spill her guts. But resistance wasn't an option.

She only had one secret in this world worth protecting anyway, only one promise she would not break.

What the heck was happening to her? This wasn't medical attention she was being drugged! Thoughts randomly flew around her mind.

She could barely control the words coming out her mouth. Moon could only slightly steer the conversation in the direction she wanted it to go.

The last braincell advocating for Moon's self-preservation wondered if Bliss was having Elodie freeze her to death.

But that was ridiculous. Bliss was Bliss. She was perfect. Moon smiled at the thought. She was so lucky to have been selected for this honor.

"Any skin to skin contact that isn't by you alone will begin to be too hot for you. It'll probably drive you crazy, but you'll get used to it. That's how it was for me, anyway."

Maybe Elodie wasn't so bad. If Bliss thought that she was good, then she must be good. Moon was strong and chosen; anything would be bearable at this point.

"If she thinks your will is strong enough to break out of her spell, she'll usually have a whole process. This is just standard procedure. You're very lucky to have her take a liking in you, she even let you be her pet. I'm just doing work for her- but it's fine. She has a grand plan, and if you're close enough to her, she may even tell you."

Elodie smiled. "She thinks you have incredible talent. I'm not sure about your will, you'll have to ask her yourself. With the serum, you can only go so long before going into horrible withdrawal. So reasonably, you'll be around her often."

Azazel had finally finished healing himself of all of his injuries. He really had to get used to actually fighting again. He sighed. Perhaps later. He got back into the place where the other Distortionists were. He looked around. Well, the big house looked pretty nice in what he had seen of structures.

As he was stalking the house, he noticed that Goddess leave. Score. Now, the leader had said that he wouldn’t be able to kill her. But like, come on. She was going out alone. And she was weakened! He was stronger than the Gods. He just had to wait.. to see where she was headed. And ambush
