So my first console was a DS lite, on which I played Animal
Crossing: Wild World, Big Brain Academy, New Super Mario Bros, and
eventually Pokemon Diamond version (which changed my life
forever).
But that's not really the start of the story. My first real
exposure to computer games was with online flash games on sites
like Newgrounds. So I started out playing things like Zelda and the
Lampshade of No Real Significance, the Submachine series, and a
hundred other poorly coded indie projects.
Well actually that's a lie because before that I played the free
games equipped on Windows XP, i.e. Solitaire, Minesweeper, and 3D
Space Pinball. Might sound silly but they did some heavy
lifting.
and at some point I had a Tamagotchi, but that's more like a pet
I grew up with my DS! my favorite games there were sonic colors and
super mario Bros and the love for the franchises still goes on
strong to this day. I did also spend a lot of time on computer
games but my most fond memories come from those sonic fan made RPG
flash games with a final Fantasy sort of battle setting
Firstly I'd mention the PS1 games: Digimon rumble arena, Legend of
Mana, Granturismo 1, Tekken 3 + others. It was my first contact
with video games and have left a deep mark on me BUT the absolute
crown goes to School of Dragons! I remember creating my account
back when it was available on facebook, in 2014, I remember
leveling up my starter dragon, I remember how it comforted me when
I was getting to high school, and even one time I was playing it
during a family trip. I played it for SO many years, and even tho I
wouldn't actively play it all that time, I knew I would find
enjoyment whenever I went back there. My memories of it are also
eerily clear, which is a bit odd for someone so forgetful like me.
I've played on mobile for the longest time, and only recently got
to play it on pc again thanks to the wonderful community that kept
the game alive, the difference is so huge, and what usually looked
like a lazy money-grab game turned out to look really lovely and
done with care when you take the crusty low-quality mobile import
out of it. I even got to make some mods for it and it was so
exciting to see a bit of what's behind such a precious piece of
media to me!! It's a shame it was so poorly mantained and
eventually gone, but as long as the community keeps it running I'm
sure I'll go back there every now and then ^^
The Grand Theft Auto series, is that series of games I grew up on.
I first played it when I got a computer. Honestly, I still play it
to this day. Especially often I started playing it during airplane
flights, when I read the article https://www.unfinishedman.com/can-you-play-games-on-your-phone-while-flying/
and saw there the information that this series of games is a leader
among games for tablets. I was pleasantly surprised that in the
mobile version of this game, everything remained the same as it was
when I first tried to play it on the computer.
I'm still a kid >:3 But I love the games Deltarune, and
Undertale that I'm growing up with, and Hollow Knight, and I guess
you could say Pokemon.
Don't you know how to greet a new pal? Shake my hand.
Oh. They found a Warp Star. Which-a means... eventually...
they'll-a stumble across the others. But don't-a worry... Mario get
you next time!

Gladius and Dark Cloud were my favorite games growing up. I wish
more people were able to enjoy them. Neither of them were super
popular but they were a staple of my childhood
