if you breed a regional form, is i possible to get the original form? Or even just the egg dex entry for the original form.

Depends on the type of regional form

If the regional form has a first stage evo (e.g. Hisuian Zorua -> Hisuian Zoroark, Galarian Ponyta -> Galarian Rapidash, Alolan Meowth -> Alolan Persian) then no, you'll only get regional eggs

If the regional form only exists in its evolved form (E.g. Galarian Mr Mime, Alolan Raichu) then yes, it will breed its regular form
