Auspice nodded, keeping her gaze on the beautiful sigh before them.
"I see then. How is your life? What do you do all the time? Any
missions or something like that?"
"Consider me... a traveler of sorts." Iteral smiles, shrugging a
bit. "I'm not well-liked across time. Even went to other
timelines... in one, I was the daughter of the goddess of day and
night. It did not go well. What about you?"

Shoot them before they shoot you.
Auspice listened to Iteral, letting out a small chuckle. This one
was interesting. "Ah, I see. Well, you are a cool person, so I
don't hate you! And me? I'm sort of like... a warrior.
Lightbearers, they call them... I used to be one of them. I'm a
Darkbearer now. I don't wield light anymore. Instead, dark." She
let out a sigh of disappointment.
"Hm. Reminds me of that alternate self of mine. Daugther of light
goddess, she wields shadows. But enough about that." Iteral smiles
again, nodding. "Thanks for not hating me. That's... that's rare."
You know the first rule in combat?
Shoot them before they shoot you.
She was smiling, though it wasn't visible. For once, she found
someone that respected her. One that did not fear her. Most
importantly, cared. "Of course. I must say the same about me. Most
people normally just... run away... all I wanted was acceptance.
The only person that accepted me was my husband, but now... I hope
you accept me. If I ever hurt your feelings... let me know. I've
never been in a friendship much." She let out a chuckle.
"... heh. Two people, both more loners than one expects. Don't
worry." Iteral gives Auspice a thumbs up, smiling. "I'll let you
know. Until then, I'll be your friend." She gives a smile back,
even though she doesn't know that her partner was smiling.
You know the first rule in combat?
Shoot them before they shoot you.
"Mhm. You got that right." Auspice watched Iteral give her a thumbs
up, and giggled quietly. "Y-You'll be my friend..? I- I can't thank
you enough. I'm glad I have someone who I can... seemingly
trust now. Thank you for that."
"Don't worry." Iteral leans back on the bench some more. "A woman
this enigmatic in full force of armor. I don't expect you to fully
trust me yet either. But hey, it's not like we're on borrowed
time." She chuckles a little at her own joke.
You know the first rule in combat?
Shoot them before they shoot you.
She let out a small chuckle. "I guess so. But I still have things
to do, so... I can't be here forever. I have to help my husband
with some things." She giggled, turning to look at Iteral instead
of the sky.
"Well, if you want a helping hand... you know one more person now."
She laughs a bit, smiling and looking into her bag, taking out an
old-fashioned pocket watch, no bigger than her palm. Silver in
color, with a bit of rust. "You know where to call me."
The sky... started shifting a bit. Parts of the sky, stars and all,
started moving out of place like a misplaced puzzle piece. "I know that voice."
A celestial voice halled, with no point of origin.
You know the first rule in combat?
Shoot them before they shoot you.
"Yup, and I could trust you on it, too." She chuckled, then she
noticed something at the corner of her eye. The starts were
shifting in something's wake. It was not before long before she
heard a voice, causing her to jolt up from the bench and expand her
wings in a defensive position.
"Relax, it's just an old friend." Iteral was... strangely calm,
despite facing something of that size.
"Old friend? Well that is a bold
statement from someone so... inconsequential."
Some stars disappear, as a draconic face starts to appear from the
stars and aurora above. It stared down at... well, either of them,
given it's sheer size, but it did not take a mastermind to see it
was glaring down Iteral. "And you brought
along a playdate? How quaint... you know you are not allowed within
our presences, Rulebreaker."
You know the first rule in combat?
Shoot them before they shoot you.
Auspice looked up at the dragon. She had slain many gods before,
but not this one. She didn't know if this was a friend or a foe,
but she drew her sickles from her belt, ready to attack if needed
if the 'dragon' decided to attack, even if Iteral told her to
relax. Auspice was not the person to relax. "Well, she IS the
Rulebreaker. Of course she is going to bend the rules a little."
The dragon just chuckled at that statement. "Bend? Try breaking them completely. We're supposed
to be a celestial race, roaming the cosmos and creating the
universe as we see fit. But she... chooses to pick a form of
mortals, picks the element that is far too dangerous and just
chooses as she pleases. I don't understand what you see in her,
this... thing is no human, no god. She is Iteral, the Rulebreaker.
Time bends to her will, and she bends to no one. She
breaks."
You know the first rule in combat?
Shoot them before they shoot you.
"Well, I choose her because... well... she is a good friend. She
understands me... unless you are telling she will manipulate me at
some point..." She mumbled out the last point, loosening up a
little and turning to Iteral. "Is this true, Iteral?"
"Eh, if you wanna see it as bourgeois as the Star Forger over
there, maybe. But I don't want to manipulate you or anything."
Iteral leans back again, looking up at the dragon with hardly a
care. "I'm just sick of creating and forming, I wanna see what the
universe holds in store for me. Usually disappointment, but you're
the rare exception, Auspice." She smiles. "And you understand me
too, I suppose."
"You always were the starry-eyed type,
Rulebreaker. Name me one reason I should not hurl a whole
constellation at you, alongside this accursed mountain."
"... because we're so far beneath you that it would be a waste of
stardust?" To that... the dragon actually did not respond for a
bit. Iteral just gives a bit of a smug grin to Auspice. "Yes. He's
that self-absorbed."
You know the first rule in combat?
Shoot them before they shoot you.
"Thats nice. I'm tired of people manipulating me for fun." She
scoffed, attaching her sickles back her to belt. She let out a
sigh, listening to Iteral speak to the celestial dragon.
Auspice let off a small chuckle, hearing Iteral speak. "I see. I
mean..." She turned to the dragon. "Why would you waste your
beautiful starts and constellations on us? I've seen a few starless
nights before... its quite unnerving."
"Hm... you are kind of correct. But at
the same time... I cannot let the Rulebreaker go unpunished. It is
time for you to deserve your proper punishment."
Iteral looks a little sly, holding out her hand. "Hold my hand.
Trust me."
You know the first rule in combat?
Shoot them before they shoot you.
Listening to the dragon made her wings twitch, although she was
always listening. She heard Iteral's request, and she listened,
grabbing Iteral's hand, expecting the unexpected.
