the world suffered through its war, but now everyone is at peace.
a small coffee shop resides in the busy city of seattle, washington.
it may be small and unpopular, but its cozy and a good place to hangout.

won't you share your story with me?

Theo checked the ingredients he had, frowning a bit. He would have to restock later. He closed his eyes and smiled again, finding a bit of peace while listening to the soft noises of the light rain outside, and the muffled noises of the city. The rain and usual ambience created a sense of comfort, and the rain...he could just curl up and fall asleep. But nope, he had a coffee shop to run, but how the sweet lure of sleep beckoned him... Snapping out of the trance, he double checked his ingredients before returning to the counter, smiling. The coffee shop was empty for now, considering the day had just started.

It was a peaceful morning. ...For now.

the doors of the coffee shop opened, and kendo walked in, yawning. He rubbed the sleep out if his eyes and brushed a lock of his messy golden hair out of his eyes. He took a seat, resting his head on his hand.

"Heyyy~ How's my favorite barista?"

"Mmmf...tired." Theo mumbled, stretching a bit. "And how is my favorite customer doing?" There, obviously, wasn't even a hint of a tease in his voice. He's not one to tease or flirt, after all. But that doesn't mean he was lying. Theo quite enjoyed when Kendo was near, it was somewhat...comforting to him.

he sighed dramatically.

"Pretty well, but not that great. it's like 10, 15 people per show. I'm getting a stable income, so that's good enough for me."

He gestured to one of the windows that showed the busy streets outside. "Sad that nobody wants to stop for coffee..."

The door opens slightly, as a brunette with a beanie entered and took her time. She closed down her umbrella outside, shaking it so she doesn't carry any water inside. Placing it, alongside her jacket, at the coathangers, she approaches Theo. "A hot chocolate, please."

You know the first rule in combat? Shoot them before they shoot you.

Theo smiled at the compliment, but he had his back turned so nobody could really notice. "Can't stop an artist from making philosophical remarks." He said, half joking.

"Hot chocolate? Got it." He pushed some buttons on the old coffee machine, and the aroma of coffee soon started to fill the shop. After a few seconds, Theo placed a cup of hot espresso infront of Kendo, and started on the hot chocolate.

She hesitates a little but then nods. "Peppermint... sounds like a good addition. And whipped cream." She was still a little confused of both of their responses, looking down. "If you want, I can retreat to a more discreet corner."

"You can st...stay if you want to." He said, but it turned into a quiet mumble. He blushed a little bit, but luckily he was busy making the hot chocolate so they couldn't really see. He didn't possibly register that what Kendo said was a joke. He's tired.
