She turned to go.

As Cath dissolved the flames, she called out one final time.

"Oh and Melvin, I was able to see the manuscript. I memorized every page before it was destroyed..."

There was no evidence of the ritual circle left behind. Cath returned to her dorm to think. She closed the door and locked it behind her.
It was never meant to be.
