"Melvin? Who's that?" Her brows wrinkle in confusion. "Look, do you want help or not?" She turns Ayran on his side to slow the bleeding.

(No, she cannot. As for where one is, you have an infinite source nearby if you remember a previous part. No, it's not in Melvin's library)

Lucinda halted. “You don’t know Melvin but you are older? He was definitely here when you were, you are definitely not a student here, who are you.” Lucinda knocked another arrow and aimed it at her chest, over her heart.

(According to previous posts, there was Kitsune flowers where Scarlett was ‘kidnapped’ before, the maze chamber thing)

She scrunched her eyebrows more. "I seriously don't know who you're talking about. All I know is I got back today, and now there's a new Headmaster." She stands up, brushing off Lucinda's bow and then herself.

"Good luck healing your friend then." She starts to walk off.

[Nope, that's part of his library. But think about the situation. ;) ]

Lucinda watched as Tamari disappeared, then it hit her that she might be Melvin disguised. She tried to follow her.

'Tamari' rounded the corner, and in the brief second that she couldn't been seen, disappeared.

Melvin merged himself with Ayran's shadow, and a second shadow blade appeared. It sliced Scarlett's arm, and she woke with a start. And then started screaming, gritting her teeth.

Lucinda rushed back. “Scarlett- are you- ok?” Then she saw the cut on her arm. Lucinda took out a few more herbs and laid them on her arm, it only soothes the pain for a while but it can’t cure the shadow blade.

She looked to Lucinda in wide-eyed fear, hyperventilating. "Something is moving.... Inside..." She shivers, eyes watering. "Lucinda, please."

Lucinda recalled what she had read about Kitsune flowers before, she found a flask and slowly dropped a few drops of Scarlett’s blood and walked outside, pouring it slowly onto the floor and Kitsune flowers bloomed. She picked a few and brought them back to Scarlett and Ayran.

"Wait!" She thrusts out a hand before Lucinda can do anything. "Don't... Don't use it on me yet, what if it seals whatever this is inside?" She points to her arm.

Her eyes go dark. "Lucinda, please take care of Ayran. In the meantime," She takes a breath. "I need you to knock me out again."

“You- are you sure?” Lucinda stammered, she didn’t know what to do, she didn’t know a lot about using Kitsune flowers as medicine, sure she did lots of research on herbs. But she never used Kitsune flowers.

Scarlett nodded and pointed to the bottom of the stem. "See how it's dripping? Use that." She fought another shudder. "Lucinda, please. I'm pretty sure it's Melvin."

“Ok…” Lucinda agreed and hit Scarlett with her bow again, and grimaced when it hit her. She knelt besides Ayran and let the liquid of the Kitsune flower stem drip onto Ayran’s cut. Then she stood up to find where Melvin was. She headed the direction she had went.

Ayran groaned in pain, he was surrounded by darkness, where was he? Was he asleep? What about Scarlett, was she ok?

Those question, were in his head, but all he can see was a black void that seems to never end. He knew he was trapped in a dream, but no matter how hard he tried, he can't seem to get back to reality.

Lucinda then turned (how many times does she turn to find someone and then someone else gets her attention XD) heard Ayran groan, she ran back and shook him, hard. Then she got some water (totes not cuz of Royal’s latest meme drawing) and forced it down his throught.

Scarlett woke up to darkness. Or she thought she woke up. But looking down at herself, her wound was gone, and so were the shakes. Everyone was gone. Except for Melvin.

"What do you want?" She spat.

"Your body." He said calmly. "I assure you I can be a much better leader than you could ever be." Scarlett's eyes flashed. "And I certainly wouldn't let my girlfriend die at the hands of Felons."

"You don't know anything!" She yelped, snarling louder.

"Oh, but I do. Such a pathetic excuse for a person. You let your girlfriend pretend to be injured and alone, allowed her to get herself captured to reveal the __cpLocation of the Pelt Hunters, and then you were too slow and weak to save her. You could have saved her when you found her, but you sat there and watched it happen." Scarlett's subconscious drops to her knees. "You didn't even capture the ring-leader, he got away and you knew it."

"No... No..." Scarlett whimpers.

On the outside, Scarlett's body is slack, having stopped shaking, but every word that is said comes out of her mouth, in both voices.

The darkness in front of him changed, instead it became a snowy field, in what seem like a distant memory, there were two figures treading through the snow.

One of the figure was in blue, while the other looked like Ayran.

Ayran's eyes contracted, he stepped back, 'nononono'

The Ayran in the snowy field held his hand to the man in blue, 'We are almost there! Hang on! Please!' he begged. His wings was broken, he couldn't fly, and his partner was poisoned and need to be treated urgently.

Even though the snowy field didn't affect him, Ayran felt like he was in a blizzard, watching this scene over and over again from his nightmares.

As if there was a terrible voice inside saying, 'It was your fault, you are and still so weak, you couldn't save him because you were so weak that you couldn't save him from a simple poison.'

Ayran shook his head rapidly, trying to deny it, but... could he really, when he couldn't even fight off this nightmare that has been plaguing him for centuries?

"Get out of my head!!" She screamed, lunging for Melvin. The two fall over, and engage in a battle. Scarlett's body falls over, then sits up again.

"Get out, get out, get out!" She slashes his face, and he roars with furry, hands at his face. Seeing her opening, she shoved him through a crack in her conscious.

Her eyes fly open. "Lucinda, now! Before he gets back in!!"

Scarlett's breathing is hard, and she looks around wildly. Melvin's angry yells echo through the halls as he disappears.

Scarlett watches with half-interest as the wound magically seals itself. Then she crawls over to Ayran, still weak. "Ayran?" Tears start to fall. "Aryan! Please... Please don't leave me."
