I would say not unless you can't sell them on/ use them to trade. Since trades for pokemon seem to require another pokemon in exchange even when you are paying pd.

No, I don’t think so. What’s better is you put them in the auction house and sell them with a starting price of 1. You’ll have a better use of the mons if you sell them at the auction house, and that’s what I do when I have trashmons.
