Sanctuary for the Fallen

(Cookie Run: Kingdom)

✬ ✬ Nebulaflower Cookie ✬ ✬

Show hidden content
Nebulaflower Cookie is a Primeval* Cookie of the Healing type. Her position is prioritized to the Rear. Nebulaflower Cookie is generally referred to with She/Her pronouns.

Description:
"As the primordial clock ticks, the fate-binding threads detach ever so slightly. The cries of the once-grand Primeval Witches reverberate throughout the hallowed halls as the eerie blades of the timepiece strike midnight, reminding Cookies of their sinful deeds and the ultimate retribution they will face in the eventual conclusion of their existence. A sanctuary for deceased Cookies exists in a faraway land sealed with cursed dread, and in its foreboding glass atrium dwell the Cookies the Primeval Witches once saved. Nebulaflower Cookie, the Sanctuary's ruler and Primeval Witches' leader, lives in the atrium's centerpiece - connected by the Ancient Thread of Legends. Though the Cookies of old declared it to be indestructible, even the Thread cannot withstand the will of a Primeval Witch until the end of time and beyond. The start of a new era in Cookie history is unavoidable, but one can only hope that Nebulaflower Cookie and the Primeval Witches are willing to recreate the ancient past's peace and equity."

Soulstone Description:
This glimmering stone holds a piece of Nebulaflower Cookie's soul. Intense dread and terror emanates from it ceaselessly.

Appearance:
Nebulaflower Cookie has lavender-tinted dough and long, flowing nebula-like icing hair. She has insane-looking royal purple eyes with lavender highlights, and wears a starflower wreath on her head. Nebulaflower Cookie's outfit is composed of a long, glittering black-white gradient robe with galaxy-like streaks, with an accretion disc-shaped ring on each sleeve and many star-like candy decorations surrounding them. A dark orb is situated above her chest as well, which creates an illusory pattern similar to the event horizon of a black hole. Nebulaflower Cookie holds the legendary Crestfallen Starlight Rod with one hand and multiple floating starflower-shaped jewels with the other.

Skill: Haunting Nebulaflower Greenhouse
"Brings forth the Primordial Luminescence of Dread with forbidden magic, healing all allies based on a percentage of the team's maximum health. Using the power of the Eternal Bloom, Nebulaflower Cookie is able to extend the duration of all buffs and provide periodic healing after the initial heal. With stardust of the most pristine condition, she also removes all debuffs from her team and grants immunity to debuffs for a limited period of time. Her divine spellweaving abilities also allows her to nullify enemy buffs by placing a Glittering Nebula on the enemy formation. The Glittering Nebula poisons and briefly silences the entire enemy formation as well. As a Primeval Witch, Nebulaflower Cookie is fully immune to interrupting debuffs such as Stun and Silence, along with fear-based debuffs such as Terror of the Abyss."

Description:
TBA

Soulstone Description:
This iridescent stone holds a piece of Rainbow Beryl Cookie's soul. It glimmers with bitter resentment and hatred, as if all it once cherished was stripped away from it and destroyed.

Appearance:
Rainbow Beryl Cookie wears a vibrant, colorful ensemble that reflects her energetic and powerful nature. The outfit features a rainbow-colored suit of thin, crystalline armor that is adorned with gems and prisms, giving it a radiant, iridescent glow. She wields the Penultimate Delusion Staff that shimmers and glows in the light and allows her to focus her destructive magic into a small blade-like point.

Skill: Opalescent Splendor
"With blissful hatred, Rainbow Beryl Cookie brings forth the Primordial Luminescence of Vengeance. She disappears for a brief moment and then reappears in behind her enemies, slashing them with her blade. This initial slash also explodes, dealing additional damage to enemies in the area and briefly stunning them. Enemies that are hit by Rainbow Beryl Cookie's slash will gain a Volatile debuff that decreases both ATK and DEF, as well as inflicting Injury. This debuff can stack, making it more effective when applied multiple times. Rainbow Beryl Cookie then unleashes the power of the Conversion Prism, restoring a portion of the damage she deals as HP to her allies and increasing their DMG Resist. Finally, a laser is formed beneath all the enemies she slashed. This laser deals high damage to enemies in the area after a short delay, providing additional damage. After using her skill, Rainbow Beryl Cookie will be more vulnerable to damage due to exhaustion, and her ATK will temporarily be decreased. As a Primeval Witch, Nebulaflower Cookie is fully immune to interrupting debuffs such as Stun and Silence, along with fear-based debuffs such as Terror of the Abyss."

Horatia Arborea - Ultimate Imitative Artist

Show hidden content
Name: Horatia Arborea

Gender: Female (She/Her)

Age: 16 (pretend she's also 16 in blood and water idk)

Birthday: 7th September

Talent: Ultimate Imitative Artist (which is just a fancy way of saying art forger)

Personality: Unlike her (far) future self, Horatia is more level-headed and sane, with more passion and empathy for others and most importantly an attention span longer than three seconds. Although she has the title of Ultimate Imitative Artist, she rather despises the time and effort that she has to put into each of her replications, and dislikes creating art in general, although she does have a keen eye for it and can appreciate it at times. She prefers to learn and obsess about the past, with a particular interest in royalty.

Horatia dreams of time travel, often fantasizing about travelling back in time to meet various important figures and experience life in a bygone era. She also greatly dislikes her last name, Arborea, finding it dumb and silly, and constantly considers changing it to something she likes better (like Aionios :P).

Personality Type: yes

Description: picrew
[]Height: 163 cm (~5'4")
[]Weight: 53 kg

Horatia has long, wavy blonde hair, amber eyes, and a relatively tanned skin tone, along with mild freckles. Her slate-grey dress is incredibly elaborate, with intricate lacework covering the bodice and skirt, colorful jewel embroidery creating vague shapes of different flowers, as well as lighter gray highlights. She wears a black hairband and white earrings, along with long white gloves and boots to complement the dress as well.

History: Horatia comes from a family of artists renowned, but not exactly famous, for their artistic talent. At a young age, Horatia and her sisters were constantly exposed to the arts, because that was how their family thought they would make their children interested in art. And because it worked for the past few generations.

Though she expressed no interest in creating original artworks, she was undoubtedly very talented in mimicking them. And so she was basically forced to replicate her parents' artworks every day, until one day she was scouted by some famous art school that I have no idea what to name. She was obviously very excited at the prospect of never having to replicate her parents' ugly art (they weren't that ugly) and went to attend there as soon as possible.

After a few more years of learning stuff she didn't give a f*ck about, Horatia discovered the silver key that unlocked her passion - ✨ time travel ✨, and started being obsessed over history like a lot. And then she got invited to attend Hope's Peak because I kinda ran out of ideas for her backstory.

Sexuality: Omniromantic Fraysexual

Voice Claim: whatever she had for blood and water

Secret:

“From error to error, one discovers the entire truth.”

~ some philosopher

Because of her future self's time travelling shenanigans, Horatia is perpetually stuck in a time loop, and may disintegrate into nothingness due to a time paradox at absolutely any point in time. At first, she hadn't noticed anything different when she was first affected, only vague feelings of déjà vu when doing specific things, but as time passed she began to notice that everything she did eventually reverted to a state where she had never done that thing. Broken glass reformed into windows, and wounds vanished as if they had never existed in the first place.

Although being a fanatic about anything time and history related, she actually has no idea what the hell is causing this, only that each time she (or someone else) points it out, she seems to feel more...nonexistent. Horatia believes that eventually the feeling of nonexistence will become a reality, and she will cease to exist, and as such she attempts to hide it as much as possible.

Eden Aconitum - Ultimate Reverist

Show hidden content
Name: Eden Aconitum

Gender: Demiboy (He/Him/They/Them)

Age: 16 (although he claims to be 14)

Birthday: 13th December

Talent: Ultimate Reverist

Personality: Eden presents themself as an innocent, bashful little kid that really wants you to like them and give them headpants, and his childish appearance and voice would suggest so, but deep down, they are much different that they claim to be. Eden is a quiet and blunt person that secretly judges everyone he sees, and will not hesitate to use any information you give them against you. They are also a materialistic person that judges based on looks, and undoubtedly smarter than they look. Although, surely someone sooo adorable wouldn't be such a manipulative person, right?

He also really hates going outside.

Personality Type: yes

Description: picrew (danganpicrew)
[]Height: 152 cm (~4'12")
[]Weight: 38 kg

Eden has soft, fluffy dark brown hair, sparkling blue eyes, and pale skin. He usually wears an oversized gray sweater above a regular long-sleeved t-shirt, plus a zipped black jacket over their sweater. They also wear a pair of short white denim shorts, along with black-and-white calf-length socks and a pair of black sneakers. Additionally, he also wears a beige bow-shaped hairclip in his hair.

History: One might say Eden is a person that lives in the past, with their obsession with reminiscing past memories and looking like a little kid and all that, but they weren't always like this. Like every mentally not okay person, he started out normal - fun, outgoing, friendly, and all around a nice person. Or rather, unexposed to the situation his family was in, at least.

Their parents stopped caring while Eden was around 13, leaving them and their siblings to take care of themselves while they seemingly vanished. The first few days were fine, he was still able to live like he used to, but over time he began to long for the past. They wanted to be happy like they used to be, and soon began to practice having reveries and lucid dreaming. It started out as a way to destress himself, but quickly spiraled into dependence on them to stay sane and happy.

After all, the past is eternal and unchanging, is it not? (horatia begs to differ)

Sexuality: Homoromantic Asexual

Voice Claim: Tori Himemiya (Ensemble Stars!!)

Secret:

“Nothingness is the end, the end to sadness and suffering.
Fear not of nothingness, for in nothingness lies salvation.”

~ eldritch horror anime girl

Contrary to what Eden claims, or perhaps what you would assume at first glance, Eden's appearance is not actually truly their natural appearance. He spends most of his time at the safety and comfort of his home, carefully maintaining and keeping up his childlike appearance with various beauty products and carefully-crafted diets. Not to mention the many drugs and medicines they take as well (well, not illegal ones, but still). Along with that, they have also undergone many cosmetic surgeries, with many of them possibly having an irreversible effect on them (so he'll look like a child forever).

One might wonder how Eden manages to fund what he does despite not even being an adult or having any apparent source of income. Well, to put it simply, they sell...inappropriate images of themselves to strangers on the internet at a ridiculous price while remaining anonymous. Let's just say that he's pretty secretive about this.

Oh, and he's terrified of change and growing up if you couldn't already tell. And they're especially scared of dying.

The Scrying Rite | Nakanotorishima Castle

Current Time: Evening of Day 1 | Prologue
The Game has yet to begin. Everyone may speak and act freely.

Quote from The Rite
Of the nine, stranded on this island,
Two chose the word of the dark, enlightened.
The vile curse of the two,
shall continue even if they are born anew.
And so, the correct action to do,
Will be, for them, the crew,
To murder each other, til there remains only one.
Faction or person? That is unimportant, for it shall have begun.

...

"Ah, I must go to rest. This rite has drained much of my energy."

"Very well, Mira. Please rest well, for there is no telling what might happen tomorrow. I shall interpret the rite and decide on our course of action."

Mirahime made her way to her quarters as Amehime turned towards the scattered pieces of old parchment before her, and began to write.

(read the spoiler. it has important plot stuff in amehime's perspective.)

write a long story, at least 2000 words, about a 15 year old femboy named yukari with fluffy light purple hair and long bangs that reach his eyes. the plot should be about yukari having to pee but not being able to find a bathroom or suitable place to relieve himself for various reasons and trying to hide his desperation. yukari´s favorite beverage is coffee and he drinks a lot of it every morning and throughout the day. be descriptive with his desperation and extend it as much as possible from the start of the day to the end, going into detail in notable events as well as his gradual increase in desperation over the course of a few hours, and have the story follow a typical structure. after yukari finds a bathroom to use, change the narrative to focus on yuuto, who had also been holding it the entire time but didn´t decide to go with yukari in order to not appear weak, so he tries to hold it until the two of them get home. go into detail his predicament as well but his tight jeans make it easier to hold it in. also include dialogue between yukari and his friend yuuto. again, have the story be at least 2000 words. do not include a moral to the story and try to subvert tropes in interesting ways.

Alice Beaumontt-Devereux

Current Location: The Elysian Plain. Travel eastward to the Acheron and Ekuto rivers.

Alice Beaumontt-Devereux, clad in regal attire that shimmered with hints of darkness, stood at the edge of the ethereal Elysian plain. The Lost Souls, her loyal legion of shattered spirits, hovered nearby, their eyes filled with a mix of awe and trepidation. With a wave of her hand, the air crackled, and a gateway of swirling mist materialized before them.

"My dear Lost Souls," Alice's voice echoed with an ethereal resonance, carrying a sense of both command and sorrow. "Behold the radiant expanse of Elysium, a realm of eternal beauty and tranquility. Here, we shall reclaim what truly belongs to not only me, but us, and forge our own kingdom."

With a blast of magic, Alice shattered the nebulous veil that covered the Legion, revealing the breathtaking scenery beyond. Fields of vibrant flowers danced with every hue imaginable, their fragrances filling the air, while gentle rivers meandered through emerald meadows. The sun bathed the land in a soft, golden glow, casting enchanting shadows upon the landscape.

"This is our new home, where you shall find solace and purpose," Alice continued, her voice filled with determination. "In Elysium, we shall weave our dreams into reality and reign among the heavens. But remember, the path to power is paved with challenges and sacrifices." The scent of blossoms and the distant melody of chirping birds (that may or may not be cursing at each other in the language of bird) beckoned them forward.

"Follow me, my Legion of Lost Souls," Alice beckoned, her eyes gleaming with both ambition and a touch of melancholy. "Together, we shall reshape this land, weaving our illusions into the very fabric of Elysium. Let us stride across this resplendent terrain, reclaiming our destiny as the ones who shall reside in paradise."

"We shall meet at our next stop, the idyllic little town of Arcadia situated between the Acheron and Ekuto rivers, and discuss our plans. But for now, I have other...godly matters to attend to. I bid you all adieu." And with a final glance at her devoted legion, Alice vanished from their view in a burst of prismatic radiance.

The Elysian Plain:
Show hidden content
A sprawling, lush landscape of rolling hills, verdant forests, and colorful meadows, the Plain is the birthplace of all Elysian deities and a true paradise. The air is thick with the scent of blooming flowers and the sound of buzzing insects. The fields are dotted with grazing animals, and clear streams babble through the countryside. It is a place of unparalleled beauty and abundance, where life flourishes in all its forms.

Acheron and Ekuto:
Show hidden content
The Acheron and Ekuto rivers are the natural borders that separate the Elysian Plain from the Iteruna Mountain Ranges. The Acheron river is a wide and deep river with murky waters that run slowly but steadily. It is fed by many small streams and tributaries that flow down from the mountains, and it winds its way through the valley, cutting a deep channel in the earth.

The Ekuto river, on the other hand, is a much smaller river with a faster current. It runs parallel to the Acheron, and its waters are clear and sparkling. It is also fed by mountain streams and small tributaries, but its flow is more turbulent and erratic than the Acheron.

Together, the Acheron and Ekuto rivers create a natural boundary that separates the lush and fertile Elysian Plain from the rugged and unforgiving terrain of the Iteruna Mountain Ranges. The rivers are flanked by dense forests, rocky cliffs, and steep mountainsides, providing a stark contrast between the two regions. Despite their differences, both rivers are revered by the local inhabitants for their natural beauty and the life-giving resources they provide.

Arcadia:
Show hidden content
Flourishing between the Acheron and Ekuto rivers lies Arcadia, a small town specializing in the lore of herbs and botanical magic. This idyllic town is known for its abundance of greenery and colorful gardens, where skilled botanists and herbalists grow and cultivate rare plants for their potent properties. The town is often shrouded in a misty veil, giving it a mystical and enchanting atmosphere that draws visitors from far and wide.

Despite its small size, Arcadia is a bustling hub of magical activity, where alchemists and apothecaries create potent potions and remedies for a variety of ailments. The locals are fiercely protective of their town's secrets and traditions, making it a difficult place to penetrate for outsiders.

Anastasia Blackthorne

Current Location: Inside the Cathedral of the Ghastly Rose

Anastasia Blackthorne, the Necromancer of the Ghastly Rose, stood atop the grand dais of the Cathedral of the Ghastly Rose. The air was heavy with an otherworldly presence, as her loyal mercenary defense force, Le Monde Rouge, gathered before her.

"Listen well, my devoted warriors of Le Monde Rouge," Anastasia's voice carried through the vast halls of the cathedral, commanding attention. "Alice Beaumontt-Devereux, the wayward, foolish weaver of illusions, seeks to invade our realm. But fear not, for we shall stand united and resolute in the face of her treachery."

The jet black banners bearing the sigil of the Ghastly Rose fluttered ominously, casting shadows upon the assembled mercenaries. Anastasia continued, her voice resonating with both authority and a hint of underlying sadness, "In the coming days, we shall formulate strategies, strengthen our defenses, and train relentlessly. Our aim is to safeguard the Black Garden, our homeland and my realm, and ensure that Alice's ambitions meet with defeat."

"Within the hallowed halls of our Great Library," Anastasia declared, her gaze sweeping across the vast expanse of the chamber, "you shall find knowledge to aid us in our endeavors. The priests and priestesses shall guide you, providing access to the vast tomes of strategic wisdom and arcane lore. Study diligently, for knowledge is power."

Her gaze shifted towards the neophytes, young and eager initiates clad in black robes, who stood ready to assist. "The neophytes shall attend to your needs," Anastasia announced. "From nourishing meals to maintaining the cleanliness of our quarters, they shall ensure that you can focus on the task at hand."

With a commanding gesture, Anastasia directed her mercenaries to begin their training, their weapons ringing in the cathedral's hallowed silence. "Remember," Anastasia's voice carried over the clang of steel, "we fight not only for our home, but for the balance of power in this realm. Together, we shall defend the honor of the Ghastly Rose and emerge victorious against the illusions that seek to ensnare us."

In the sacred Cathedral of the Ghastly Rose, filled with the scent of incense and the murmur of whispered prayers, Le Monde Rouge prepared for their fateful confrontation. Bound by loyalty and strengthened by the blessings of their goddess, they were united in purpose and ready to face whatever darkness, or rather, whatever light awaited them.

The Black Garden:
Show hidden content
The Black Garden is a city unlike any other, ruled by the Necromancer of the Ghastly Rose herself, Anastasia Blackthorne. Its massive black wall looms high above, separating the city from the outside world and creating an air of mystery and foreboding. Despite the turmoil that simmers beneath the surface, the city bustles with life and activity.

Most of the city's inhabitants rarely venture beyond the walls of the Cult of the Ghastly Rose's cathedral, where they seek refuge from the chaos of the outside world. But for those brave enough to venture out, the city's black brick streets and stained glass buildings offer a unique beauty. Flowers of every kind adorn every corner, their colorful blooms a stark contrast to the city's dark exterior. The scent of sacred plants fills the air, a reminder of the power that Anastasia wields over both the living and the dead.

Despite the beauty of the Black Garden, a sense of unease permeates the city. Whispers of the Necromancer's dark magic and hushed whispers of her plans echo through the streets. The Black Garden may be beautiful, but it is a city on the brink of destruction, ruled by a goddess who will stop at nothing to achieve her goals.

The Cathedral of the Ghastly Rose:

The Cathedral of the Ghastly Rose stands tall and proud, its exterior made of jet black stones that gleam in the sun. But as you step inside, the contrast between the darkness outside and the colorful interior takes your breath away. The walls are lined with intricate stained glass art depicting scenes from the Cult's lore, and silk banners of every color adorn the ceiling, making it look like a vibrant, living tapestry.

The Cult of the Ghastly Rose has a strict hierarchy, with neophytes being at the bottom of the order, and the goddess Anastasia Blackthorne herself at the very top. The priests and priestesses come next, followed by the initiates and then the acolytes. Each tier has its own set of rights and duties, with the neophytes being responsible for the most menial tasks such as cleaning and cooking. As one rises in the ranks, they gain access to more knowledge and privileges, but also more responsibilities and tasks that are expected to be fulfilled with utmost diligence. Anastasia herself is the ultimate authority, revered by the followers, and her word is law.

The Legion of Alice

Alice fled Wonderland, mad and distressed,
And into Elysium, she soon found rest.
A place of beauty, of peace and light,
A land of the gods, where all was right.

But Alice, she yearned for something more,
For a life outside of Elysium's door.
So she left once more, back to the human world,
But nothing there could make her heart unfurl.

Discontent and longing filled her soul,
Until she made a choice to make her whole.
She returned to Elysium, but not as before,
For now she was a god, her heart to adore.

And there she became the weaver of dreams,
Of seven-colored illusions, and fanciful schemes.
A master of magic, she crafted her art,
And in Elysium, she found her true heart.

Alice Beaumontt-Devereux, the Resplendent Weaver of Seven-Colored Illusions, stood before her Legion of Alice. She turned to her companions- lost souls from all over Otherworld, with a sly grin on her face.

"Welcome to the Legion of Alice, my dear souls. I hope you're ready to become my minions," She said. "This is only the beginning. See, with my Legion at my command, we shall be able to...conquer a part of Elysium for ourselves."

The Weaver paused for a moment, lost in thought. "The realm of the Black Garden has been in turmoil for quite some time. Capturing it for ourselves should pose no challenge at all," Alice explained. "Well, I wish you a good time here. If you feel obligated to use any of the amenities provided, please do so."

Anastasia Blackthorne, the Necromancer of the Ghastly Rose, rose from her throne of vines. Her eyes flickered with dark magic as she glared at the messenger who had brought the news of Alice's impending invasion.

"How dare she?" Anastasia snarled, her voice like the rustling of leaves on a windy night. "After all I've done for her, after all the power and knowledge I've shared, she still thinks she can waltz into my realm and take what's mine?"

She paused, her expression turning calculating. "But perhaps this could be an opportunity," she mused aloud. "If Alice wants a fight, I'll give her one. And when she falls, her army will be mine to command."

The messenger shifted uncomfortably under her gaze. "M-milady, are you sure that's wise? Alice is not to be underestimated, and her army of lost souls are-"

"Silence!" Anastasia's voice boomed, causing the messenger to flinch. "I know exactly what I'm doing. Now go, and I shall take care of this myself."

"After ascending to godhood, Alice Beaumontt-Devereux, the Resplendent Weaver of Seven-Colored Illusions, became obsessed with power and domination. She assembled the Legion of Alice, an army of lost souls seeking to enter Elysium, to aid her in her quest to conquer other realms. Her sights eventually fell on the realm of the Necromancer of the Ghastly Rose, Anastasia Blackthorne.

Once, Anastasia, the Necromancer of the Ghastly Rose, had taken Alice under her wing and taught her the ways of magic. But when Alice was discovered practicing light magic, Anastasia banished her from her realm. Now, Alice saw an opportunity to exact revenge and claim the realm for herself.

With the immense power of the lost souls in her hands, Alice has planned an invasion on Anastasia's realm, the Black Garden. Unbeknownst to her, however, Anastasia has learned of her plans, and has assembled a group of powerful people to defend her kingdom.

You are one of the Lost Souls, pledging allegiance to the Legion of Alice. Alice has commanded the Legion to leave the Elysian Plain and cross the Acheron and Ekuto rivers, then scale the Iteruna mountain ranges, and finally cut through the Blackthorn Forests to reach the elusive land of Anastasia. Then, an attack will be made to infiltrate the ranks of the Cult of the Ghastly Rose and tear the discordant realm apart from the inside.

The Elysian Plain

A sprawling, lush landscape of rolling hills, verdant forests, and colorful meadows, the Plain is the birthplace of all Elysian deities and a true paradise. The air is thick with the scent of blooming flowers and the sound of buzzing insects. The fields are dotted with grazing animals, and clear streams babble through the countryside. It is a place of unparalleled beauty and abundance, where life flourishes in all its forms.

Acheron and Ekuto

The Iteruna Mountain Ranges

The Iteruna Mountain Ranges are a vast, rugged expanse of peaks and valleys that stretch as far as the eye can see. The mountains are imposing and majestic, with their snow-capped peaks reaching towards the very top of Otherworld. The landscape is characterized by steep cliffs, treacherous ravines, and deep crevasses, making it a challenging terrain to navigate. The climate is harsh, with strong winds and biting cold temperatures that can last for months on end.

However, despite its inhospitable environment, the Iteruna Mountain Ranges are home to a variety of hardy flora and fauna that have adapted to the harsh conditions. The local nomadic tribes believe that the mountains are the dwelling place of powerful spirits and elemental forces, making them a place of great reverence and awe. For those brave enough to venture into its depths, the Iteruna Mountain Ranges hold the promise of discovery and adventure, but also danger and peril.

Blackthorn Forests

The Blackthorn Forests are a dark and foreboding place, shrouded in mist and mystery. Towering trees with gnarled, twisted branches loom overhead, casting deep shadows on the forest floor. The air is heavy with the scent of damp earth and decaying vegetation, and the only sounds are the rustling of leaves and the occasional haunting cry of a nocturnal bird. The forest is named after the blackthorn bushes that thrive in the undergrowth, their sharp, thorny branches a testament to the hostile nature of this place.

Legend has it that the Blackthorn Forests were once home to Anastasia Blackthorne, the Necromancer of the Ghastly Rose. It is said that she retreated to these woods to hone her craft, seeking the solitude and darkness that they provided. Some even claim that she made a pact with the spirits of the forest, trading her own ichor for their aid in her spells and rituals. Whatever the truth may be, the forest bears the mark of her presence, with dark symbols etched into the bark of the trees and eerie whispers that seem to emanate from the shadows.

The Black Garden

Arcadia

Glaize

Nestled deep in the heart of the Iteruna Mountain Ranges lies Glaize, a small town that specializes in the art of crafting idols imbued with powerful magic. The locals here are expert hunters and miners, skilled at extracting valuable materials such as iron, copper, quartz, marble, and gold from the treacherous terrain, as well as hunting down the local animals for bones and skins. Using these materials, they create intricate and ornate idols that can inhabit incredible magical properties.

The town is known for its hardy and resourceful people, who have learned to thrive in the harsh and unforgiving mountain environment. Glaize is a place of legends and mystery, where ancient traditions and arcane knowledge are passed down through the generations.

Mysterious Pagoda

Deep in the heart of the Blackthorn Forests lies an abandoned, eerie pagoda. Once belonging to a long-forgotten cult of the Kami-no-Tokoyo, the pagoda has since fallen into disrepair and been claimed by the forest. Its ornate, red roof tiles have faded to a dull orange, and the wooden walls have been eaten away by time and the elements.

Despite its dilapidated state, the pagoda still holds an air of mystery and power. Strange symbols and carvings adorn its walls, hinting at the dark rituals that were once performed within its walls. Whispers can be heard on the wind, as if the spirits of the cult's long-dead members still linger in the shadows. It is said that those who dare to enter the pagoda risk becoming trapped within its walls, unable to escape the remnants of the cult's various experiments.

Cathedral of the Ghastly Rose

Ōmagatoki: Umarekawari
逢魔時の生まれ変わり

If on barren fields we meet again,
Would love re-bloom, or fade to ash?
Would we, like morning dew, together cling,
Or be scorched anew by age-old wrath?

"Hello, hello! Welcome to the second Ōmagatoki! My name is Kojirou Inari, nice to meet you!"

"Feel free to look around before I reincarnate you back into your mortal vessel! No incorporeal stupidity this time, I'm not like Ms. Disembodied Voice~ Yeah, I kinda fired her from her job, to be honest, she kinda sucked."

"Oh, and watch out for the evil spirits if you're not going to join. They'll come for you as soon as you leave my evil spirit ineptitude field, so basically I'm forcing you to join."

Magical Tome "A Guide to Ōmagatoki" (Basic Overview):

"Welcome to my finely crafted Ōmagatoki game, a variant of the classic party game Mafia that we Yōkai play in the Otherworld! In this roleplay, each one of our players will be secretly assigned a role aligned with either the Humans or the Yōkai! The Yōkai meet together every night while masquerading as ordinary players throughout the day, while the Humans must get together to eliminate the genuine Yōkai before they are outnumbered and killed!

The game alternates between two stages: night and day. During the night, the Yōkai-aligned members discreetly conspire among themselves to kill a Human while devising a strategy for the day. During the day, the entire cast of surviving players debate who among them is aligned with the Yōkai and vote to exterminate someone. The game will continue to alternate between these two phases until either all of the Yōkai are eliminated (the Humans win), or the number of remaining Yōkai-aligned members is greater than or equal to the number of remaining Human members (the Yōkai win)~"

"Good luck in your futile attempts at survival, because either way, it's a win to me, eheheh..."

- Kojirou Inari

The Ruins of the Kami-no-Tokoyo's Tower

The ruins of a divine tower that once reached above the clouds, until the erosion of timeless millennia and the descent into obscurity caused its destruction.

Few remember the tower's existence in the present.

Piles upon piles of bone-dry, crumbling rocks surrounded the base of the ruined tower. The oppressive dust had settled long ago, yet it remains a holy site for those who take time to recollect.

Talismans were scattered all across the tower ruins- some neatly stacked in piles, others strewn all over the floor. Any divine yōkai-sealing power they once had would have dissipated over such a long time.

Crushed stone lanterns and shattered ancient komainu statues that were thought to ward off evil, just like real komainu, dotted the overgrown grass around the tower. Collapsed pillars that were once colored a bright red blocked off most of the openings, but thankfully not the tower entrance.

Inside the tower, one could find all sorts of divine objects and statuettes. As with the talismans, eons have drained away their powers, rendering them almost completely useless.

A tightly-shut trapdoor, covered by some ancient bricks, was situated in the corner. No mortal key would open its lock- a kami's power was required to open it.

Kojirou's magical ability opened the trapdoor, revealing a dusty staircase to the depths of the basement.

First Floor:
All sorts of alchemy equipment were scattered across the floor. There could be potentially harmful fumes here, even to yōkai and divine spirits. It would be best to obtain a way to prevent breathing in the fumes before entering here.

In the corner was another trapdoor, this one shimmering slightly in the almost pitch-darkness of the basement.
