Heyah,
I'm a player who loves this kind of games. I'm a 100% newbie and also a f2p player, and I've to admit, I'm quite lost to see how I can Shiny Hunt in this game in the long term.

First, I'm trying to setup myself with the basic key items. Trying to get some exploration bags, the Tall Grass, Money boost etc. I still need the Flame Orb + PokeRadar. But even here, I struggle to make any money. I don't see what can I do, but getting 50k or more just looks like hard for somebody starting like me. Am I missing something ?

Also, I've some questions about getting eggs. I've tried the daycare, and it seems hard to get any egg. Same goes with the Tall Grass, even if i bought Egg Radar Tracker, waiting 3 minutes for an egg when you want to Shiny Hunt seems odd ?

I really do like the game, so it's really more a confused player here rather than a rent or anything. I just want to be sure before working more on setting up my account.

@Aligatueur, you can get money from:
-Item market
-Interacting
-Rumbling
-Selling extra items that you don't want either in the item shop or the item market
-Winning a battle
-Starting an auction
-Mystery Boxes (but only sometimes)
-Golden Slot (but only sometimes)
-Daily Reward
Also, with the Tall Grass wait time, please note that these are eggs that you get for free, while knowing what the egg is right off the bat, so there would probably be a catch to it. Also if you are shiny hunting and you want to use Tall Grass, then Easy rarities are the easiest because those have the shortest wait time.
With the daycare, in order to get an egg you either need two pokemon from the same evolution line of different genders, a pokemon with a ditto, or a pokemon and an opposite gender event counterpart (with these you might get an event). Also, check the compatibility of the pokemon. If the compatibility is 'The two prefer to play with other Pokemon than each other' or 'The two don't seem to like each other' then you won't get any eggs. Be sure to give a deposit or no eggs will come no matter what.

Sadly, I'm aware of everything. And that's quite my issue.

For the money part, when you start, you can scratch almost every point. I'm level 2 on the area, with one bag. I get 200 PD for 12 hours, the list starts to be rewarding later in the game, not when you try to make your first idk... 300k of PD in the game. Seems like Interacting is the only viable thing when you're really new without any upgrades.

Same egg wise, I'm well aware of that, but based on that, I don't see how you can be ultra-active in the end. Pretty much being able to mass hatch / mass setup during a day.

I think you might have too high of expectations. This isn't a game someone can just play all day in most cases. You could be on all day looking occasionally, but we don't really have the player base to hatch your eggs all the time quickly. That's why there's so many waiting times. You aren't meant to play for hours on end unless you want to click the whole time or are talking to someone. Having the new Exp Share will help with hatching eggs, but unfortunately you still have to wait for eggs. You could save up for the eggs to be gem hunted and you'll get them instantly, but that requires a lot of gems.

In terms of getting money easier, that also needs some waiting. All the ways to get money will just get easier over time (aside from clicking). One way CutePikaEevee didn't mention to get money is the berry garden, but that also takes time. If you're having trouble selling things though, shoot me a PM. I'll buy nearly anything from a newbie to help them get that beginning money. (And I'm willing to help other ways if you need more help.)

I guess I thought like some other browser game, the idea to progress was to be really active here, but seems the reality is quite different, and it helps me to understand better, I really thought there were some solutions to really being able to perma-farm eggs without too much issues.

I did the Berry Farm tutorial because I saw the potential, but yeah, it needs also some setup that is quite hard then you really start the game.

I guess the idea behind this is really to get it's a slow slow start. Not used to that tbh, I like to setup myself really fast to just enjoy the farming part.
