(Sorry reply was late, ended up having to sleep)

Sobble lifted its gaze up at her, forming an excited grin. The other two didn't seem bothered, remembering there was the second trainer.

Theo smiled softly, their focus still at the current trainer with the starters. They still wasn't sure to exactly say.

"you remind me of my father.." she said to the Sobble as it smiled at her, waiting to receive the pat of approval. She finally gave the water starter a pat, watching it's reaction

(Aaa sorry again for the late response! I'm actually recovering from an accident that happened so I'm not able to be on as much at the moment!)

Sobble gave her another look before happily spinning around. It gazed at her again, pointing its tail to her arm, wanting her to lower it for a moment.

Both Theo and Sonia smiled, deciding to watch what would happen next.

"It seems Sobble has already taken a liking to you!" the professor hummed, an excited look in her eyes.

(Thank you! I'll probably have a few replies sent from time to time! I should be recovered enough by Wednesday!)

The water type starter then quickly climbed onto her arm, using its tail for balance in case it fell.

"That one really seems to like you." Theo murmured, still smiling, although they didn't sound too enthusiastic, but they still didn't know how to get certain words out.

Sonia nodded in agreement. "Normally, Sobble's a timid one, but you really seem to get its interest!"

Sobble just attached itself to her arm excitedly.

"That's great! Here's Sobble's pokeball!" Sonia handed the object to her, smiling.

Theo just kept watching, again ending up not saying a thing.

Viola received the Pokeball and smiled. Her very first Pokemon that belonged to her. She continued to watch Sobble clinging to her arm

"Before we finish up..." Sonia waved Theo over to them. "You're also here to select your partner, right?"

Startled, they quickly walked over. "Yeah." Theo's response didn't have that excited tone, but at least they answered.

Scorbunny and Grookey turned their gazes now at Theo, both with curious looks.

Theo lowered their hand towards the two starters, feeling rather relaxed, despite being inside. They glanced from Grookey to Scorbunny, frowning thoughtfully.

"I do understand your hesitation, it's not an easy choice!" Sonia stood next to Viola, Yamper following from behind.

After a moment of thought, they nodded to Grookey, feeling a.... somewhat relation with the grass type. Grookey had a similar personality as them, preferring the outdoors over inside.

Grookey let out a happy chitter, lifting its head.

"Alright!" She approached Theo, handing them Grookey's pokeball. "Now, do you both have your Rotom Phones with you?"

Theo took the pokeball and nodded.

Viola nodded, grabbing the familiar looking phone from her bag. It's been a year since she was given her rotom phone, a familiar pink that her mom chose, probably expecting her to be obsessed with fairy types.

"Good! Now, I'm going to download the Pokedex here and that should do it!" Nodding, Sonia tapped a few things on both Rotom Phones before backing up a bit. "There we are!"

Theo looked back at the phone, noticing the dex app. "Huh..."

"Uh... Would you want to go together?" Theo remembered hanging out with N gave them the potential courage to have a travel buddy if they ever started their journey.

Sonia lifted her head, realizing she forgot to give them the extra pokeballs. "I'll be right back!" With that, she quickly took off to a different area of the lab.
