My Character Form

Name: Theo

Age: 16

Gender: Non-Binary (they/them pronouns)

Appearance: Theo, who stands at a short height of 5'1 is shown with light cocoa skin, their dark blue dyed hair being one of their main features. Due to an event in the past, they show a scar running up from their left cheek to the tip of their right eye. Theo tends to wear any light colored clothes, not having a preference themselves.

Personality: In general, Theo shows a bit of social anxiety, quickly feeling nervous when around large crowds or when they're in the center of attention. Because of that part of them, Theo finds immediate interest in anything outdoors, pointing out quietly facts about something if anyone asks about it. If known better, they're more comfortable to talk, although Theo would still struggle.

Likes: They mostly enjoy outdoor areas without noises from people, feeling relaxed more around Pokemon. Reading about a region's part is something Theo takes to heart, being able to know what people and Pokemon were like in pasts. When it comes to food, Theo highly enjoys anything on the sweeter side.

Dislikes: Being the center of attention is something Theo gets anxious/nervous about easily. If they're stuck in areas with any loud noises, the way they show that they don't like it is by suddenly covering their ears. Spicy foods make Theo feel weird in a way, not liking the way it tastes.

Region of Birth: Theo was born and raised in the Unova Region but eventually, they decided to start their journey in Galar.

Backstory (optional): Born in Unova, Theo spent a lot of their time with Pokemon, mainly ones in the wild. Their love for them got the attention of an older trainer named N. He and Theo met time to time, talking about Pokemon and Unova's past. As Theo grew, they hadn't been able to see N as much as before. Asking others, they ended up getting the same answer. Some people didn't know who N was and others didn't know where he went. Refusing to start his journey for a while, Theo eventually learned about the Galar region and noticed the large variety of Pokemon. They thought N could have gone there so once they decided to leave at the age of 16, the Galar region was their stop.

Other Fact(s): Being called short by anyone gets Theo a bit riled up, despite disliking the attention.

Name: Viola/Vee Wishpeck
Age: 15

Gender: female, she/her

Appearance: Viola has long platinum blonde hair and pale blue eyes. She often wears a black t-shirt and ripped jeans, and a pink hoodie jacket. Her shoes often change everyday, but her preferred shoewear is Black leather boots and Eevee socks.

Personality: Viola inherits her mom's social personality, being able to easily talk to people. In public she is seen as a kind figure with potential to become a pokemon performer like her mother. Because of her social life she is vulnerable to falling to lies and scams.

Likes: Viola has a natural liking to fashion and performing due to her mother being a pokemon performer. She likes cute pokemon, sweet food and the thrill of adventure, and secretly admires ghost pokemon.

Dislikes: Expectations, she wants to be who she wishes to be, not what others want her to be. She also dislikes people who ruin things for others, (ahem, team Yell lookin at you) people who scam people, and people acting like her missing father doesn't exist.

Region of Birth: She was born in Ballonlea, but after her father mysteriously disappeared, she and her mother moved to Postwick, where she spent most of her life living.

Backstory (optional): Viola was born in Galar, specifically Ballonlea. Her mother was a well known pokemon performer and her father was a pokemon researcher. One day when she was only 5 her father left on a business trip and never came back, which caused her mother to make the decision to move to Postwick. Viola protested about leaving but in the end she and her mother moved to Postwick. Growing up Viola always wondered what happened to her father, since whenever she brought it up, everyone would dismiss it like he didn't exist. She decided to become a pokemon trainer to find out what happened to her father once and for all.

Other Fact(s): She is the Granddaughter to the fairy type gym leader Opal, which is something not many people know.

Theo was already prepared for the day, leaning against a tree outside their house at Postiwick near the path towards the path to Wedgehurst, where Theo learned that city was where the lab is. They glanced up at the sky, noticing a small flock of Rookidee flying by and smiled softly, although their gaze was a bit... sad.

Viola grabbed her bag and looked outside the window. Today was finally the day she was going to start solving a long time mystery about her missing father. "Alrighty Vee.." she started talking to herself, grabbing some last minute things. "Your life's about to change from this day onward.." She quickly waved her mom and her Sylveon a quick goodbye, before opening the door and appreciating Postwick. She would be able to leave this small town finally, after years of being told she wasn't allowed to.

They turned their head towards the direction of where they heard the door opening. Theo grabbed onto their arm, slightly nervous as they tried to start moving ahead. They put two fingers against their scar and sighed, hoping this was a way to distract themselves, not worrying about getting her attention whenever she would walk by them. "Guess she's also going to the lab too..."

Viola noticed one of her neighbors herding Wooloos and decided to quickly greet them. "Hey, how's your day so far?" She asked the elderly man struggling to make the Wooloos stand in a single line.

"Oh? Finally starting your pokemon journey?" The elderly man asked. "I better not distract you, you have to get to the lab now huh?" he then went back to herding Wooloo

Theo couldn't help but smile slightly. She seemed to be friendly with the neighbors, although they knew the difference. Theo wasn't mean but they didn't like being around many people. That's how they decided to chose Postwick as where they would live once they moved to Galar.

"Maybe I could wait... It's not a far walk anyways." They murmured, lifting their head back to the sky. The flock had disappeared, but it looked like the sky was finally clearing up.

Viola waved goodbye to the elderly man before heading to the lab. Humming as she went, she couldn't wait to see what starter choices the lab had.

They groaned softly, realizing they were too distracted to even walk with her. Shaking their head, Theo ended up heading to the lab themselves.

"I'll be right with you- ACK!" A young female's voice called out from the lab. A small pile of books ended up falling from the shelf. Her partner, Yamper, just ran around the pile, barking before quickly looking at the door ahead, hearing someone nearby.

Viola arrived at the lab, staring at the building for a while, before entering. Her father had told her about how big labs in other regions were, but this lab was.. different.

Noticing the pile of books on the floor, she quickly ran over to help pick them up, and also give the Yamper a small pat for being cute.

Arriving at Wedgehurst, Theo noticed the larger building at the front. Believing it's the lab, they made their way inside, only to see the same girl helping someone with fallen books. Theo didn't know how to pop in, so they stood where they were.

"Thank you so much! I've just recently became the professor here after my grandmother retired so it's a lot of work!" Sonia laughed softly, pointing to where the books were. Yamper barked again happily, grateful for the pets.

Viola smiled, starting to put the books back where they belong. "You're welcome." she said. "Must be a lot of work being a professor..."

Theo glanced down, noticing the Yamper staring ahead at them, barking again. Maybe they should enter? Hesitantly, Theo nodded, closing the door behind them as they entered.

Sonia smiled, shaking her head. "It can be yes, but I'm pretty used to it by now!" She glanced ahead over to the door where Theo entered and grinned. "So you're both here! Great!"

Viola smiled, putting the last book back. The feeling of excitement returned to her, she could have her own pokemon soon. Not one owned by her mother or anyone else, one that truly belonged to her.

They had to admit, despite the small amount of people, that being the professor, their neighbor, and themselves, they didn't know if they had to say anything.

"Alright then, now that... the books are out of the way!" she added with a slight chuckle. "I'm pretty sure why you both are here today! I'm Professor Sonia by the way, but you both can call me Sonia!" With a nod, she threw three pokeballs out.

On the left, the grass starter, Grookey, looked around quickly, letting out an excited laugh. On the right, a lizard-like Pokemon, Sobble, just sat, staring at both Viola and Theo. In the middle, the energetic fire starter, Scorbunny started running around the other two Pokemon.

Viola squealed with happiness. "They're all so cuuute!" She said, staring at the three Pokemon

"You could choose first." Theo replied, trying their best to hopefully at least be heard once. Their body tensed a little as they spoke, but they decided to ignore that.

Sonia smiled again. "Please take your time, picking a starter can be really hard, so I understand if you're hesitant!"

Viola reached her hand out to the Pokemon, trying to figure out which one she wanted. They were all cute and it was difficult to choose.

They sighed softly, also thinking about which starter to choose. These Pokemon were different from those back in Unova, so it was a bit of a different feeling. For now, Theo was also curious about her decision.

The three starters all stared at her curiously.

"Now don't make it difficult for her to choose, alright?" Sonia called out to the three, laughing softly.

Viola gently moved her hand towards Sobble, her hand a few centimetres away from giving the water type a pat. Something about the Pokemon reminded her of her missing father. She didn't know what, but it did.
