i think the best way to get pd is interacting or selling items? because most of my pd is the result of doing that...

(of course daily reward doesn't count, right?)

You could also try to do the events and recurrent tasks (like the Apricorn Battle) in order to get event / legendary or otherwise special pokemon. Then trade them.

Clicklist or rumbling if you have a lot of explorer bags. Otherwise game center also works. Just play hard mode until you get enough to buy the legends and sell them, you also get the retro eggs on the way.
