Luz looked at the Twins with a sad smile. "So, where are you gonna go once you turn 18?" The twins only shrugged, fully aware that they had a secret base with 6 months of food rations prepared for this exact situation. "We'll see what we can do."

Vex walked up to Luz, Amity now having gone to speak with the twins. "So, you're the infamous human that Amity simps for. Nice to meetcha." Vex offered up her hand to shake, before wincing at another elbow to the gut courtesy of Amity.

Amity looked at the twins and could tell that, despite having decent acommodations, they had barely gotten sleep. "Are you guys holding up well?"

"Luz and Eda won't let us out of their sight just in case something happens," Edric motioned to Eda in the window and Luz sitting nearby on the roof with them to prove Emira's point. "But we're doing pretty good. How about you Mittens? I know that with us gone, Mom is probably gonna be... a lot."

"She's spent most of her time and paycheck at the bar, and Dad's been busy. I've had the house to myself for the most part. You guys could stop by and grab your stuff if you want." The twins simply shook their heads. "Even if we were willing to risk it, those two wouldn't be." Ed motioned at Luz and Eda again.

Stagbane suddenly dived towards the owl house, grabbed the vole, (while almost giving poor Hooty a heart attack) and flying off again

Lydian hung on as Stagbane started flying again

"A griffin! Hoot!" Luz noticed the griffin flying off. "You're safe now, Hooty." Without a word, Vex and Amity switched places so that Vex could give the twins some of the stuff she brought while Amity chatted with her girlfriend.
