His grip tightened. "Nice to meet you as well." His fingers slipped out of hers then, and he pulled them back to his side. He took a step back and surveyed her, his eyes narrowing slightly. His jaw visibly tightened.
"I didn't notice you there. Are you going to join one of the groups, or would you rather be assigned?"
Third Person POV
Amano's eyebrows shot up, but he nodded. "I was going to go after the ones who left the room earlier- there'll likely be four of us, but I could sort you into a more mixed group. It might be safest to go with a better sort instead of those who're together. We don't want negative relationships, of course..." His voice trailed off.
An almost angry look passed over his face. It was quickly smoothed over. "We can ask the two over there-" pointing with a long finger- "If they'd like to join us. Keep everyone together while we can."
Third Person POV
"We don't have to!" He looked affronted. "The bear's just trying to force us! By staying together we won't-"
"Oh, Puhuhuhu, is that what you think?"
Amano went rigid.
The bear had popped up behind him.
Third Person POV
The black and white bear had emerged, seemingly out of thin air. It clapped its paws together, sending up a cloud of dust. "How delightfully despairful! The students attempt to form groups out of themselves... desperately trying to prevent the deaths from starting among them! But little do they know, a plot already forms in the very heart of the movement!"
Amano's eyes widened. "What're you saying-?" He seemed to catch himself. "Sh-Shut up! We don't need you drawing divisions- that's- saying we'll kill each other-"
"So defensive~" Monokuma laughed again, now peering at the girl behind him. "Quite a cast we have, eh? I'm so touched- The roleplayers really went out of their way to give me the best students possible!"
"Roleplayers?" Amano blinked. "I-"
"Well, it's of no matter! The first murder will happen before long."
The bear's smile turned menacing. Black button eyes glittered in the dim light of the gymnasium.
"The Despair-Inducing Motives will assure that."
Third Person POV
Niwa's hand flew to his sword. In a flash, he was in front of the bear, reaching for its throat-
His hand paused, lithe fingers just barely touching the white fabric. "Why are you doing this?" he asked quietly. "What did we do to you?"
Amano looked at Koda and gave a light nod. Then he stepped forward. "Headmaster... Sir. We demand an explanation. We deserve that much. If not as ultimates, then... as people."
Third Person POV
Monokuma's grin grew, somehow. As if a needle were pulling the lips of that hideous old bear and threading it up his cheeks. "You really have no idea." The voice crackled somewhat. What was going on? Was-
"I'll give you one hint." Monokuma leaned forward.
"Each of you has a secret. Each of you is a human, full of nasty dirty secrets. One of you... yes, one of you has made the choice to purge the most disgusting, filthy creatures on Earth from it. One of you has arranged this killing game. To end you... and all outside this school."
Amano had gone still. Was he even breathing? His chest trembled, but no visible breaths entered it.
"To discover the identity of this person... and become pure... you must admit to being filthy by committing the most disgusting act you could possibly do. And the three pure people will be set free?"
At last, Amano spoke. "Three...?"
"Oh yes. The killer. The victim."
The last words would haunt the dreams of everyone there.
"And the mastermind, hiding among you."
Amano Tetsuo
He couldn't breathe.
All he could hear.. were those words. Those horrible words. Every last one, dancing around his head in a morbid impression of a child's recital- pirouetting, tripping, but all ultimately dragging across the floor.
One of us is the mastermind.
All of us are going to die here.
One of us wants to kill us all.
We're all going to die.
Someone was already planning their deaths.
He stumbled back, hands flying to his mouth before he could vomit. He already felt sick. Beside him, he saw Niwa's eyes widen and demand a few things from the bear- but he couldn't hear a word of it.
Third Person POV
The whole room was silent for a horribly long moment.
And then Amano gave a broken laugh, breaking the silence.
"We're... all going to die, aren't we?"
Title: Koda Starikuma
Before she could stop it. She began to cry.
She kneeled their, shaking on the floor, crying. She didn't like this place anymore. She didn't care about acting tough anymore.
Third Person POV
Niwa's throat bobbed in a swallow. His face was stretched, wide. Clenching his mild chin were his pale, shaking hands- which promptly fell to his trembling sides. "How... could you say that..." He gulped again and looked down, pallid face visibly going green.
Amano was still. Not moving. He looked so tired. So sick. So... done of everything. Not a word or movement came from the usually upright Ultimate Director.
Niwa crumbled to the ground at the same time Amano released another sob.
