"Keiki?" Niwa's head popped up. He looked back and forth and his eyes landed on Keiki. He froze. A blush spread over his cheeks. And then he noticed how unnaturally still Keiki was.
Panic.
Pure panic.
"Keikiiiiii!" he screeched, flinging himself at the bed.
"GET OFF ME-" Keiki yelled, throwing the pillow with force across the room.
Keiki's face was red with tears and anger. There was a gash in their lip, from biting it too much.
They wiped their face angrily with the hem of their sleeve and sighed.
"Just...give me a moment." They demanded, a bit more calmly.
Third Person POV
Niwa stared at the expression on Keiki's face-
And then their leg caught on a blanket and the top of their forehead slammed into the bedframe.
"Ow." He groaned loudly.
"I'll be at the cafeteria for breakfast!" Amano said cheerfully, not noticing either of them. "Feel free to come with me!"
Suzume Fujimori's POV
"Of course, sir. What is it?" She fought to steady her breathing...
"I need to talk to you about something... something that happened. On August 8th."
August 8th... no. It couldn't be...
It was just a bad dream, that was all it was. He couldn't have known. Calm down.
The motives today. Yes, she had to get to the gym. To find out about...
She shuddered, remembering something Megami had said. Where was Femi, anyway? What could the motives possibly be? Was someone going to die today? Quite possibly... She intended to make sure it wasn't her, if possible.
Then again... was she sure she wanted to?...
Couldn't think like that. She had to make her way there.
She put her glasses on, inhaling, exhaling, adjusting. She had to remain calm.
Suzume got dressed and headed to the gym. Cautiously.
Kowai Kurai's POV
There was but a crooked smile upon her face immediately replaced with a much friendlier one. Well, it was time for her to head to the pool!
After all, there wasn’t really any fun in learning the motives. And there was someone she still needed to see.

"Everything is going to be okay."
Hisoka Yamanaku
Hisoka stirred at an early hour, as usual. But for some reason, he couldn't bring himself to get out of bed. A pounding headache was starting in the back of his temples, sending pain rattling through his entire skull. Get up, he told himself. You'll feel better with some water and some breakfast-
No, that was wrong. He needed to do something...
Oh yes, the motives.
Hisoka sat up in bed and received a very unwelcome surprise that he was not in fact in a bed, but in a broom closet.
How had it come to this?
Well, unfortunately, no kind souls had happened to answer their doors to a potential murderer. He had been forced to gather a bunch of blankets and retreat to an unsanitary, bug-infested-
He blanched.
Maybe don't think about that.
The darkness was already crowding in on him. He sat up in a hurry, tucking a loose strand of hair behind his ear. How on earth had he laid in here so long? He needed out now!
The door slammed open. A yelp as it slammed straight into Suko's face. They staggered back, clutching their already swelling nose. "Ow! Ow! Ow, what was- Owwww- What was that for?! Owwwwww-"
"Suck it up," Hisoka retorted back childishly, both relieved and irritated to see that stupid face. "What're you doing here?"
"Heading for the pool." Suko took him in. Their voice rose incredulously. "Were you sleeping in a broom closet?"
"That's none of your business." Hisoka prayed the mop in his face was as well at hiding his blush as it was at obstructing his view of Suko’s ugly mug. “I’m heading to the Gymnasium. In case you were wondering.” He gave Suko a sneer and stood up, narrowly avoiding decapitation by mop stick. “I hope you’ll still be at the pool at that time.”
Suko raised their hands in defense. “Hey, hey, I wouldn’t-”
Hisoka swept by them, satisfied. They sputtered at his back, but he continued down the hall, keeping the Gymnasium door in sight. His hands subconsciously smoothed down his hair which was all too greasy. Perhaps the pool would have had its advantages…
He entered the Gymnasium and took his place, far, far away from that Megami girl and her creepy puppy. He waited for the others to arrive.
Amano Tetsuo
Amano arrived at the pool at an early hour. He spent a long time waiting by the door, and his efforts eventually paid off, when Suko strode in. And shortly after, Kowai. He gave each a nod and waited for the others.
I stood with Suzume looking around and wondering what would happen.
Buraddo Jemu
I walked to the pool, passing a very angry Hisoka before entering the pool room and heading to the dressing rooms. Fuck, they only have male and female...

The Night Before, Around The School
"Puhuhuhuu~ The Ultimates have already derived their plans for tomorrow. But there is fault in getting so worked up, is there not? But not to worry- just a little bear's philosophy! Doesn't necessarily foreshadow anything..."
On the screen, the bear smirked menacingly. Its red eye glowed.
"But what has happened to Femi? What did Hisoka and Kowai discuss on their midnight tryst? What sort of motives will be revealed tomorrow morning? Where are the Ultimate Labs, and what do they contain? And most importantly, of course, just what has happened to Suko's beloved gun?"
Monokuma cackled.
"I hope nobody dies, don't you~? Our beloved Ultimates are already in such terrible shape. They might just crack.... Puhuhuhu. How delightful. Well, I'll see you good roleplayers tomorrow! And remember to have your daily intake of Chills... Thrills... And Kills! We certainly will tomorrow! Upupupupupupup!"
And then it shut off for the night.
The Pool
Suko was magically in a wetsuit. They even had deep-sea scuba diving equipment equipped. Amano quirked his eyebrow, but Suko just grinned at him. Amano heaved a sigh, turning away. He disappeared into the male's changing room and re-emerged with swim trunks.
Niwa appeared shortly after.
The Gymnasium
Hisoka was at the Gymnasium. He looked warily back and forth, but the bear didn't seem to be appearing any time soon. What was going on? Was it going to be late for its own event?
Red walked across the pool exterior, staring down into the blue watery abyss.
She liked how the pool had little waves, that would ripple at the smallest drop of water.
And how the wind blew leaves across the sky, she felt at peace.
The sun shone brightly onto the pool, it looked beautiful.
She dipped her toe into the water, and watched the water ripple.
She splashed her legs in the water, and then retracted.
Suzume Fujimori’s POV
Of course, it was intended to be a joke. “And- it’s- a joke. Because, you know, we have no idea what the weather is like. What do you think the weather is like? Ahem. But- more importantly. What do you think the motives are going to be?”
And something else crossed her mind. She wondered what Megami thought of her. Of course, this was merely because she thought Megami might be trustworthy, and a friend to her… but… she wasn’t entirely sure how she felt.
She might just be planning on using you for something. Notable. But she shook her head. She definitely couldn’t waste time pondering how Megami might feel about her, unless that had some kind of practical usage. Why did she need to know, anyway?
She didn’t notice the rather pensive expression her face held.
Kowai Kurai’s POV
Something occurred to her. A murder would most likely not occur here and now, since if someone was wearing a swimsuit, they couldn’t hide anything…
Another thought crossed the girl’s twisted mind. Hisoka was at the gym right now. And she had unfinished business with him.

"Everything is going to be okay."
Pool
"They have some for you in the changing rooms," Suko informed her with a grin. "In case you weren't perceptive enough to bring your own along." They gestured to their horrendously overcomplicated outfit.
Amano looked away, mumbling something like, "They should've confiscated that disaster from you the minute you appeared on the schoolgrounds."
Keiki was sitting in the corner of a changing room, head in their hands. "Ugh..." They groaned. A piercing headache seemed to follow Keiki wherever they went.
The room was cold, goosebumps appeared on their shivering arms. They looked very pale.
Keiki stood, up, taking a deep breath. Their 'swimsuit' consisted of a checkerboard chest binder swim top and a pair of long black swim shorts. They wrapped their arms around their stomach, shivering.
Pool
Niwa knocked on the changing room door. "Keiki?" he called. "Keiki are you- okay?" He looked self-consciously at Amano who returned it with a shrug. "You can come out. If you want."
Gymnasium
Hisoka stood up, finally done and ready to head back to his dorm- and then the bear finally popped into sight.
"Hallo!" it chirped. "I hope you weren't waiting too long~" Its grin told them all that making them wait had been intentional. "It's just that one of those season-changing things happened~ Where time gets all funky!"
"We live in Japan," Hisoka pointed out. "That's a Western thing."
Monokuma cackled. "Of course I was not in Japan at the time! Jet Lag got me~!"
"Even so, your regulated clock should've remained the same since you returned here in time." Hisoka crossed his arms with a scowl. "You're just making excuses."
"Puhuhu~ Of course, of course. Is everyone ready for their despairful motives?"
They froze. "I'll...be out in a minute-!...?" Keiki bit their lip. "Just go on without me...please." They whispered. They looked down at themselves, sickly thin legs, gangly arms, and felt shame. Just pure, utter shame. Tears welled up in their eyes, and they clenched pale hands.
I have to be brave I have to be brave I have to be brave.
Keiki closed their eyes.
Don't think about it Don't think about it.
Niwa Atsushi
Keiki's voice sounded... strange. "Okay!" he called. "If you're sure! I'll be in the pool in the meantime, okay? Come out when you're ready. Or-"
Should I-?
"Can I come in? Do you need to talk to someone?"
Frick. I have to go. I can't seem...weak.
"N-no- I'm coming out anyways-!" Keiki yelled.
They covered themselves with a checked towel awkwardly, took a deep breath and opened the door. They pasted a fake smile on their face.
Keiki kept their head high, ignoring the screaming red patches on their legs, the multicoloured bruises that pattered their calves.
Niwa Atsushi
"Oh- glad you're doing great." Niwa smiled- it froze on their face.
"Oh my god," he breathed. "Are you okay?"
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Amano look up. Amano gave a loud hiss. But Niwa couldn't tear his eyes from Keiki. "Are you hurt?" Did someone do this?
Keiki's head hammered in their skull.
"I'm fine."
I'm fine.
I'm fine.
"No one's done anything. Nothing's wrong. Why would something be wrong? What's the matter?" Keiki said, in a monotone voice.
They didn't meet anyone's gaze. The towel was wrapped firmly around them.
"Let's just go to the pool."
