A startlement took to her face. "...you're welcome,
Hisoka." And as she said it, the coldness had left her voice. Maybe
he was someone she didn't completely trust. But there was something
that connected the two of them.
In a way... he's just like me.
Suzume made her way over to the passageway, and slowly, she opened
it. Immediately she thought of the hot chocolate.
The code, we talked about writing together... the music... the
reading... is it really all gone?
It felt like she'd been away an eternity. Suzume didn't want to
wait for her... she wanted her to come back. She wanted to see that
long, deep but faded blue hair... those green eyes. Her expression,
always so full of wit. Her face, sometimes so pink... she wanted to
hear her voice, and she swore, as she read and reread that note,
and Megami's notebook, for the rest of her life, she would never
forget that voice.

"Majikaru- Maji." She sighed. "There's no use in dwelling
in here... I know you might be going through something. But Femi
hid away from us all and thought it a good solution, and it almost
got him killed -- and then got him killed. There's no point in
staying in here and hiding. While you dwell here, there's a good
chance someone else might die. We need to figure things out here,
and make sure no one dies ever again."
She couldn't quite make out his face (well, of course not), but she
imagined it twisted in pain beneath his mask. She remembered...

She gave Hisoka a grateful glance. I wonder what's up
with him. What could be the issue with... dust? Cremation of a
loved one? Like ashes, might remind him of dust? Does it remind him
of some kind of guilt? Maybe it's just a kind of obsession he has I
don't understand...
Maybe the dust bit was a lie. She couldn't tell. "I hope you'll be
alright," she told him quietly, as she turned to walk away. She
saw... the cocoa cup, and she picked it up. "Good night,
Majikaruman. Good night, Hisoka."
There was always tomorrow, wasn't there?
Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow, and... tomorrow...
She felt her eyes grow heavy. She thought she heard the darkness
hissing in her ear, weighing her down. She took her tired, heavy
steps to her dorm... her dorm now.
