"Puhuhuhu~ the votes are in. Who will be chosen as the blackened? Have you made the right choice or the dreeeadfully wroooooong one?"
The slot spun over and over and landed on three icons of Buraddo's face.
DINGDINGDING!
"CORRECT! THE blackened HIDING AMONG YOU WAS NONE OTHER THAN BURADDO JEMU!"
Suzume Fujimori's POV
It's supposed to be my face.
I'm supposed to die. Not Buraddo.
And yet...
This was justice, wasn't it?
So why?
Why did it feel so empty?
"...goodbye, Buraddo," she spoke out flatly. "I hope you aren't punished too harshly."
She wanted to say it. She wanted to scream, to beg Monokuma to take her instead.
But that was far more than she deserved.
...and, Megami would have wanted her to be here...
After all, that was what she wrote.
"Live."

The Execution Begins
Gore Warning. If you're uncomfortable, please skip this segment. You know the drill.
The claw snatched her before she could even finish her sentence. She was yanked up into the ceiling.
The door to the Execution Room creaked open, and all of the characters rushed to see Buraddo Jemu's demise. It would not be a pretty one.
The claw dropped Buraddo on an enormous bookcase. She stumbled a bit, finding her footing. Then she looked about her.
The book that the enormous Monokuma brought down would've taken her out, if she hadn't ducked.
Buraddo ran across an enormous book shelf, knocking aside all kinds of books. A sound came from above- he looked up, and narrowly dodged an enormous book bigger than him. They could see his mouth open in a scream as it crushed his leg- but no sound.
The Monokuma brought up its book, preparing to hit her.
In a leap of faith, Buraddo jumped to the enormous desk, and landed face down on it. She lay there, stunned for a moment. Then she lifted her head, looking up-
Just in time to realize that she had landed on an open book.
The giant Monokuma closed the cover on her terrified face.
And brought down his mallet.
Blood sprayed everywhere.
And the screen faded to black.
Gore Warning over.
Hisoka looked away. His face was set, grim. Niwa, still half-unconscious, clung to Keiki. Suko didn't look away. But something about their face was emptier than before.

"Maybe," Hisoka said quietly. His hand found Maji's and gave it a squeeze. "Maybe in another world, we all could have been."
"You're right." He turned to Maji. "We do have to go. Except-" His eyes lingered on Suzume. "Is it alright if I talk to her first? I promise it won't be long. Just for a minute."
Hisoka Yamanaku
Hisoka went up to Suzume. His brain ran through the possibilities- what he could say to her. For one moment, a tiny part of his brain said he shouldn't. That he should leave her be, to protect himself.
That, he thought, was the most ridiculous thing he had ever heard.
He stood beside her, feeling the storm build within her. The pain, the terror, the emptiness-
"Don't blame yourself," he said quietly. "I'm sure that Megami wouldn't have wanted that. Nothing that happened here was your fault. Nothing was preventable with what you knew."
Suzume Fujimori's POV
Maybe this wouldn't all be happening.
But for a moment there, as the Yamanaku spoke...
She saw him, not as a rich, sneering snob, who thought he was better than everyone else... nor the villainous liar she was so suspicious of...
But someone just like her. Who tried to come into this whole thing, logically, calculatingly, not caring. All because of the mindsets that they had put themselves into.
Or maybe Hisoka didn't put himself into his... maybe someone else did.
"...maybe you're right." But she still had to ask him. She still had to know...
"Hisoka... what did you know about Kowai Kurai?"

What did you know about Kowai Kurai? the words echoed in his mind.
"Too much," he said quietly. "And just so you know, I'm very sorry." He turned away and left, heading to Maji. "Let's go. We need to go eat."
Suko Nobu
Buraddo was dead.
It was bloody.
It was horrible.
And Suko would not die. They started to back up-
"No," they realized. "I need... food."
Just like Femi said. That was the plan from the beginning. I'll hide away forever, and they'll never catch me.
They ran for the cafeteria.
I nodded, my throat now dry. I felt a tear well up as I grasped his hand. This had all started as a simple little letter. An invitation to one of the most prestigious and specialised high schools. They had a course for you regardless of your talent, or so we were told. I guess they weren't wrong. Despite all of our different talents and lives, despite some of us coming from garbage piles and boxes while others came from mansions and butlers, we all had a few things in common. We were all talented, all known to various degrees. We were all broken, and all filled with some sort of murderous intent that just needed a trigger. I looked away from the screen, turned my back on it, and began walking to the elevator.
Everyone needs to eat, right?
Tem
Jeez, this is insane. 5 Chapters in. The first murder felt so sudden, like an introductory. The second was horrifying, none of us knew what was really in store. The third... well I think we all know how shocking the third was. Then came this one. I think a decent number of people got impatient, but I hope it was worth it. This has been in the works for a while, I wanted to deliver something painful and personal.
I hope I delivered.
Suzume Fujimori's POV
Me, myself, I. Alone again. Haven't I always been?
She... didn't want to do it. But- she had to check. She had to know.
I'm sorry, Megami.
She found her way back to their dorm... and she opened Megami's notebook. But she didn't get far in reading, because she just so happened to accidentally open it on the last page, and it caught her eye... and as she read on, suddenly, the notebook was slammed closed...
WHERE. WHERE ARE THEY? Of course... I remember, they went...
How could she never have realized... she ran off to the cafeteria.

There was darkness here. It lurked in everyone. That, was the one thing he was correct about from the beginning. Everyone was willing to murder. No one was safe. They all played upon that ledge, a game of chance dictating who'd be pushed first.
He perched on higher ground, looking down at them all.
But now, he wanted to offer out a hand. He'd pulled Maji up. He could pull up the rest of them. Everyone would live- and nobody, he swore, would ever die again.
He and Maji got on the elevator. He gripped his hand tightly. It was time to embrace the future.
Serendibite
Don't worry, Tem, you absolutely did. I loved the idea, and the impact it had on all of us- the relationships of our characters, and our own bonds over them- suddenly, it was entirely shattered. Megami had been a focal point of hope, and then she was gone.
She was a very important character to all of us, and I'm really happy to have seen her arc through it's entirety. Thank you so much for being a roleplayer with us <3
You delivered.

Keiki dragged Niwa into the cafeteria.
Keiki's head turned towards Suzume, a curious expression on their face.
"The heck is she on about-?" They whispered to Niwa.

Keiki cursed.
"Niwa- we gotta get outta here."

Niwa struggled in their grip. "Mastermind? What's going on-?" They tried to blink through the dizziness and pain that roared through their head. "Oh- oh god, Keiki, what's going on?"
The Mastermind-?!
Suko Nobu
Everyone stood all around. All faces stared at Suko. They saw nothing reflected back. All these pathetic imbeciles. All these fools.
They laughed, a dry cracking sound.
"Why don't you ask that question of someone else already dead?"
They hiked their pack up on their shoulder, and turned to leave, storming away, intent on finding Femi's dorm. Mastermind. Mastermind indeed.
"Suko," Hisoka spoke.
Suko stilled.
"Why did your secret never turn up? We all had them, except for you."
"Ask the bear, not me."
They left on that note- and began to barricade themselves in Femi's room, as soon as they reached it.
Suzume Fujimori's POV
