"Kowai... Kowai, she's here? She's here? In the kitchen? Of course... of course she's there. I have to go talk to her. I have to know why! Hahaha..." She fell into peals of delirious laughter, the tears pooling out of her eyes, her head tilted t'wards the ground.
"Of course... why didn't it occur to me?"

"Everything is going to be okay."
Hisoka Yamanaku
Hisoka hovered between two worlds.
In his arms, a tray of sushi sat. He'd seen the note- he knew he needed to leave the room. But he couldn't help but pause. Suzume's face, twisted in anguish, like she'd been cut into with a knife.
Compassion and duty.
Maji or Suzume.
He glanced at Maji. For some reason, he knew that Maji was looking directly at him.
Telling him that the world wasn't just a or b options. Koda wasn't a genius, nor a fool. Suzume wasn't innocent, nor stained beyond repair. And he wasn't one of them, or a Yamanaku.
He could choose.
And thus, he would choose both.
He set his plate down and knelt down beside Suzume. "It's okay," he whispered. "Kowai's not here. You're safe. We will protect you."
Suzume Fujimori's POV
It was about them... it was about them and all their faces, twisted deep in anguish. All those people, all those souls...
No. She couldn't think about that. She took a deep breath and wiped her tears away. "Thank you. You're right, she isn't here." Her voice was cold and crystalline once again, as she stood up and wiped her glasses with her lab coat.

"Everything is going to be okay."
Hisoka Yamanaku
Hisoka took her in. Her bloodshot eyes, her round features, the way her shoulders curved. Her lab coat and all the little stains. All the story he'd never cared about.
For the first time, he wondered who everyone had been when they'd come to Hope's Peak.
Not their economic status. But who they'd loved. And who'd loved them back, and mended that coat when it got torn. Because surely it had, if it were as loved as the stains said it was.
"You're right too," he said quietly.
Then he turned on his heel and left the room, plate in hand.
Suzume Fujimori's POV
No. Nonono. Everything was all wrong. She forgot, she'd forgotten!! She'd forgotten...
She'd forgotten to ask him. Yet, she found herself walking towards the table. Her hands took hold of her plate, and she began to sample its contents.
It didn't mean anything to me. I hadn't felt anything. I swear it. It was nothing. So what is this?

Suko Nobu
While no one was looking, Suko took their plate, and retreated to a corner. They kept their eye on everyone, noting the people who went by the food.
I wonder if anyone'll poison anyone...
That would be nice. They could uncover the killer. And then there'd be two fewer people who could hurt Suko.
Or maybe someone would go all out. Poison everyone. Except Suko of course, who's plate they had against their chest was safe, of course.
Majikaekae was by Niwa's plate. That was curious.
Oh, and apparently Niwa noticed too. Because he had torn himself away from greeneyes for once. Andddd now he was yelling.
What a waste of air.
Suko chewed on a piece of rice and watched the show.
I glanced at my food, taking cautious bites. Even if I die of poisoning... It could be worse. This place sucks, but I never really had a life or friends back home, let alone a girlfriend. This was my last thought before a wave of nausea sent me on my feet and running to the nurse's office in a blind panic.
Maji
Well, this is getting boring. I walked over to Buraddo, placing a hand on their shoulder. "Wanna go hang out, get some fresh air?" She's getting paler, she seems lonely.
"Puhuhuhu~ what's going on?" Monokuma popped up. He strode into the light, paws behind his back. "Is there a problem?"
"Yes!" Niwa whipped to glare at the bear. "He poisoned my food. Get me a new one!"
Monokuma smiled. "I don't think I like your tone."

The Cafeteria
Niwa ignored her. "I said, I want new food."
A splatter of red across the tiles. The pang of a needle hitting the floor. Then, the thud of Niwa hitting the ground. Blood pooled beneath his head.
Suko started screaming.
"This," Monokuma chirped. "Is what happens when you children are naughty." He popped out of sight.
Suzume Fujimori's POV
Then, suddenly, her body moved practically on its own, rushing over and grabbing Niwa and running to the Nurse's Office. "HANG IN THERE!! It's okay... you'll be okay! You're fine, you're fine..."
He's still breathing... I think...

"Everything is going to be okay."
Keiki Meyumi
-Serendibite illegally takes possession of Abra's OC in the interest of posts-
"Hey! Hey, hold up!" Keiki stood in front of Suzume, hands on their hips. "Where do you think you're going? Gawd, Suzume, do you want him to be murdered?"
They glanced nervously back and forth. Everyone seemed to be looking at them. They didn't like it.
"He's going to our dorm, or nowhere!" they declared.
Niwa flopped like a dead fish.
Hisoka Yamanaku
Hisoka walked through the door of the upperstairs washrooms. He immediately went into the bathroom stall, and worked open the note. The plate of food lay forgotten at his feet.
His eyes narrowed as he read the words. The note scrunched in his hands.
"Oh, Maji," he murmured. "I'm so sorry."
Suko Nobu
All this drama- why couldn't anyone just die?
Suko wrapped their arms around themself. Almost everyone was gone. Why was everyone gone? Why was everyone leaving? Was Suko the next Femi? Because they didn't have anyone left, they couldn't kill anyone else?
So they were next?
I wish they would all just die, they thought. I want them all to die.
Hisoka Yamanaku
He started to scrunch up the note. Preparing to throw it in the toilet. Preparing to destroy the evidence entirely-
But he found his fingers smoothing out the creases. He found himself performing intricate folds. Constructing a boat. This keeps him afloat, he thought. I'll save you, Maji.
He wasn't sure how long he sat there, staring at the stall door, and feeling the paper boat in his hands.
The washroom door opened. Hisoka jumped, quickly flushing and putting the boat in his pack. He made sure to hike it up on his shoulders.
Buraddo waited outside the stall. She looked as biting as ever. Yet somewhat vulnerable. Maybe because that big lugging bag wasn't on her shoulder, but also maybe because she was alone in the room with him.
He paused. "I won't hurt you, you know. I have no idea how many people left the cafeteria. Maybe it's just us too."
Hisoka Yamanaku
The weight on his shoulder was heavier than ever. He could feel the world pressing in on him. A little scrap of paper could mean so much. It could take lives.
"You would know that... Femi," he mused.
And on that topic, Akihiro. And Redmonda. They would know-
Or maybe, he thought, thinking of the acceptance letter that came in the mail. We all do.
He was slowly going mad. But each despair-tinged word came with something else. Hope. Hope that he could make a difference, because if things were so bad, if paper could take a life, perhaps it could save it?
"Maybe I can save everyone."
Then he laughed. He could think more on that later. He started down the hall, heading for his dorm. He would sleep the thoughts off. Tomorrow, he could think more on it.
Suko Nobu
Suko left for their dorm immediately. It was time to sleep. In Femi's dorm. Away from everyone else.
They would live, because how else could this story go?
