I keep seeing non-premium members being able to shiny mega hunt, how is that possible?

They shiny hunt a pokémon that has a mega form and they repeat the hunt until they're lucky enough to hatch a shiny mega.

Being premium is not required to get a shiny mega. It makes it easier, sure, but it's not a requirement.
