A Land of Chaos and Slaughter [1x1 with Serendibite]
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Private RP → A Land of Chaos and Slaughter [1x1 with Serendibite]People are fleeing.
There is chaos, utter chaos, everywhere.
Bodies litter the floor, in different states of decay.
Houses crumble to the floor.
The cries of the lost and wounded fill the skies with their shrieks.
Bullets rain down from the darkened sky.
Children run to and fro.

[IN PROGRESS]
He lifted his chin off the desk-
His teacher opened her mouth-
And suddenly the entire front of the classroom caved in.
Suddenly, a plume of dust flew up off the floor- He choked- and felt it fill his lungs. Promptly, dizziness overtook him. He stumbled back several steps, his hands flying up to his mouth. He hacked a few times... then promptly slumped to the ground.
He didn't know how long he blacked out. But when he awoke, he saw a girl's head, lolling across the ash, half her face scorched off. He choked-
Then he saw movement in the ash... he tried to move forward- and keeled over. He slumped down across the ground. He blinked. Was there more smoke in the air, or was he blacking out again.
He moved a little.
He could crawl.
He inched forward across the floor, desperately aware of how dangerous this was. He had to get out- he had to find a shelter before the rest of the city was bombed, destroyed... before the school collapsed, him under it-
He found a hand in the rubble. He tugged on it a bit.
He blinked. Was it his imagination, or was the hand disconnected from the body?
With a sickening lurch and the last of his strength, he yanked a girl out of the rubble.
Her now dull hair was covered in grey dust.
She wasn't moving.
Her chest rose and fell slowly.
Her pale face matched the alabaster rubble.
Her fingers twitched a little.
A glimpse of amber eyes was seen through her thick eyelashes.
She gave a soft moan and shook.
At last, he fell silent. He gulped a few times, then crumbled to the ground. He managed to roll himself over.
He lay there. Unthinking. Unfeeling. Just breathing. Just breathing. Staring up at the crumbled plaster of the ceiling which based the next layer of black and white tiles in the cake of the school.
Cake... he closed his eyes. He remembered his last birthday. Hadn't he had a cake...?
.......
My head.
Oh god, my head.
.............
Genya shifted uncomfortably.
She coughed out ash and soot,
Her eyes didn't open though.
A large cut trickled blood down the side of her head.
She groaned and opened her mouth to scream for help.
No sound came out.
....
Agony.
She rolled over, groaning as she scraped herself on hard rock.
Her head began to sway as she inhaled the smoke.
Trying to keep herself conscious, she opened her eyes blearily.
She couldn't see anything.
Genya began to shake.
Blinking faster and faster, she rubbed her eyes until they were red.
At last, she could see.
She sighed with relief, scanning her broken surroundings.
A boy was sat near her, with wounds similar to hers.
She attempted to speak, but all that came out was a rasp.
Genya's eyes widened with fear.
Pearly tears made streaks against the soot on her face.
And then he rolled over on his side and met her eyes.
He was starting to stand up, but immediately stumbled back several steps, his knees buckling- he caught himself on the wall. He gripped the peeling wallpaper, bunching it up together.
Breathing hard, he turned to look at her. "We need a bomb shelter," he replied as calmly as he could. "Because... the school fell... easily... Bricks..." His vision blurred again and he slammed his eyes shut, hoping to chase off the dizziness and headache that was forming in the back of his skull. "We need to go now."
At last, he found the end of the room. He found the knob and pried off someone's stiff fingers. He pressed all his weight against the door, unable to put any force in- It had to open outward, right?
And it swung open and he fell backwards onto the floor.
